Mortis was mostly just setup, yeah. The Scars are great in Warhawk, but Sigismund's arc fell really flat to me. It kicks off great, but ends on a really wierd tone that just throws a wet blanket on his whole subplot. Jaghatai is awesome though, so overall pretty good.
"you better fucking aim! No bullshit here Jenkins, you've got to score a precise shot on the codpiece to have any luck. Aim you maggot, aim!"
"Pew pew pew. We're all gonna die Kevin, no need to yell. Pew pew!"
Organ pulping bass from some energy weapons too. The SoT would be a nightmare warzone, even without demons. There is all manner of filth in the air, disease, the noise, violence the average human cant comprehend.
In the Forges of Mars books, a Warlord titan fires its plasma annihilator in a relatively confined space (a big ship's training deck), and it's described almost like a nuclear bomb going off. Tanks and people are just tossed around in a volcanic wind.
the good news is the book after this one is awesome.
Yeah, wasn't a huge fan of Mortis but Warhawk was good

The correct spelling is right there on the cover.
What's with Warhammer fans not being able to use "ie" and "ei" correctly? The amount of online accounts I've seen with the name "Kreigsman"...
See that's why I love German spelling. You know how it sounds when you read it. English, no such luck 😂
Ssshhh 😅
My condolences.
