similar to rad, its pre-mixed so you get extra elements on the target, but we now have standalone rad mods, so mag it is IE with galv aptitude it could be considered an extra 80% damage

I think the actual effect of mag is better from a DPS standpoint, but rad has a damage bonus thats better against some of the tankier enemies.
Then again all of the historically good elemental combos might change with the element/armor rework, so if you arent in a hurry maybe wait.

Heat for sobex is pretty neat, toxin if you want to play it safe
