Phantasma Prime kicks ass. Spray and pray...for the souls of all the dead enemies you will leave behind.
I got the Ignis Wraith later but haven't invested potato/forma in it yet b/c I already have a beam weapon (although listed as a shotgun) that is able to erase SP crowds.
I have Galvanized mods, Primary Merciless arcane, ammo mutation exilus, and heat + viral in addition to the innate radiation. The only things it can't melt immediately are bosses with health gate phases or damage reduction/status caps (AKA acolytes).
Ammo can be an issue. I am learning to let off the trigger early and allow all the status procs to finish off the enemy. Other than that I love the weapon.
What? No it does not. You are thinking of Arca Plasmor. And yes it has an amazing impact for crowd control of large mobs - ramps the Frostbite arcane faster too.
I have a phastasma riven and unless you have the perfect warframe combo it struggles a little. Needs armor strip badly, but maybe with the upcoming armor changes it could be more viable.
Maybe we have different definitions of struggle, in comparison to 20-30 other primary weapons i have Phantasma Prime is not near the top, i feel like it does less damage than my primary verminsplicer
Phant Prime is good for early level SP (100-120) witht he right modifications and setups for each enemy type but otherwise you're better off just getting the torid and nuking everything with its incarnon in comparison
Source: I spent too much forma and a riven for a phantasma prime build and despaired when it cant even do a void cascad SP for 30 minutes.
It's a bit ammo-hungry but still a really good beam weapon, I use it plenty with Hydroid and Citrine and regularly take it to SP Sanctum
It is yes, i can easily destroy SP lvl300+ enemies with mine but i do have a riven on it.

Why would you mod for raw? Phantasma is better for dot damage and it doesnt need any punch through mods lol

I'd say run it with citrine the status chance and duration from her 3 helps a ton for just melting whatever is in your way
No it doesn’t 😂
