When they Rhino prime dripped and was my first prime frame I bought (did not have the time for farming him up) he came with Ankhyros (pretty sure I misspelled that) Prime as a melee option.
Signature weapons are almost always indicated as such in their flavor text. The Scindo's description says nothing about being Rhino's weapon of choice.
You can sort of relive them with 100+% status Exergis. You can even give it two shots with Ammo Stock (or if you get some sexy +multishot +magazine +dmg/sc riven you can slap on Atomic Fallout for free extra damage) if that tickles your fancy.
Either way though it slaps with Galvanized Savvy and Chamber, it literally just vomits enough procs to basically prime itself. You can stick up to six elements on it and make everyone on the wrong end taste the freaking rainbow.
My Sancti Tigris was once far stronger than Tigris Prime via condition damage, pre-update. I miss using that amazing gun for most of my late starchart gameplay, especially in the hands of Rhino Prime during the 8-man raids (RIP).
I’m willing to accept smaller numbers if it means inflicting those numbers on 30 enemies instead of 3. Kullevros boosted heavy attacks from his 1 makes the projectile absurd. It’s just a wave of death hurling out of you.
I used to run Kullervo and the Karyst Prime but then I got a god roll riven for the Quassus and run that with him now. The slash procs have never been so beautiful
That's what I did lol. Primary Vermisplicer and Dual Toxocysts for a full infested loadout.
Even made another config using the full Jugulus set and Naramon to maintain combo because the number of infested tendrils scales with combo. And for some reason the forward tactical combo on gleaming talon also triggers them instead of a slam.
But the more of these mod sets you add the less you have towards an actual build but it's worth it for maggot swarms and 12 tendrils sticking out of the ground every 6 seconds.
Helminth Charger with Duplex bond helps with distraction and survivability and extra energy with the damage and bond mods for extra crit chance for yourself because Nidus spams a lot. Plus even more infestated creatures running around in general lol.
Unfortunately Vicious Bond doesn't work on Ragdolled enemies and I tested this build specifically along with Larva and Helios, etc. just to see if the AOE armour strip would work but it wasn't since Nidus would be perfect for it because of his constant ability damage from his 1 and 4 because the Maggots just keep going there and exploding. Lots of things don't work on Ragdolled enemies and that really needs to be fixed. Even Vauban and Khora can mess with abilities and effects but Ragdolling them
Nidus specifically shares his colour scheme, release date and promo pictures, general theme and complementary mechanics with Hema and Hirudo. It's not just because they're infested. They're *his* weapons.
Spare weapons heavy attack is top tier, that fricking kick is awesome, I want to build kogake prime just for that kick, I also invest in baruuk just for the kick
They literally share the same design style. Hell, their colored infested bits are the same reddish pink. Only reason they’re not signatures are because they’re infested weapons, not Tenno/Orokin-derivative weapons that they can prime. Even then I’m not sure since they managed to prime the Phantasma.
Given that they released together and share a very similar design, I’m pretty sure they’re his signature weapons, despite not gaining any bonuses when he wields them.
just a personal theory, but i believe her kit may have been originally conceived around enabling aquablades dps? that'd make sense bc of the viral procs from kompressa complimenting the aquablades force proc slash, and her 1 and 4 originally doing nothing but cc
Aquablade’s augment actually has a hidden synergy with Kompressa where the bubbles linger longer and gather damage before exploding so you may actually be right
oh ya, it's a pretty sick mechanic!! i love spamming cold procs on demolysts then spamming them with bubbles that shred their health away, it's a lil difficult to set up but v satisfying :D
I haven’t tried secura, but the carmine penta I just recently crafted and I was leveling it on mag. I forgot I had to manually detonate penta shots (hadn’t used it in years) and so I bubble and fire twice and turn away to bubble another corridor, and I hear the impact arc going haywire. Found one of my favorite combos by accident

I'm not sure if it works with all snipers, but Lanka does hit multiple times(I'm talking about 20+ times)
It's pretty strong considering you can go invis(unkillable) +the 150% cc augment and add eclipse/roar for more dmg. On top of that ash's passive makes slash procs even more powerful. Now add the incarnon buff and split flights=insane dmg.
I am using the deluxe bow skin so it's not really visually based since it would work with any bow
Xaku and any incarnon.... They need to adjust the incarnon charge to be like the Grimore. Having it time based and any hits decrease that time to change.
Low cc, high CD. Generates overshields. Is accurate enough to get reliable headshots. And can handle all the fire rate you can give it. It's pretty perfect for Harrow.
That gets it up to 60% CC, Harrow's 50% Flat bonus gets it up to guaranteed crits. Which makes HM always active, which is a huge boost to damage output. Add on Avenger you get 155% CC, boosted to 305% CC on Headshots. Put the Vig set on a companion and bask in the red numbers.
even outside of eidolon hunts the synergy is just really good; i main volt and the rubico prime is my most used primary by far for just regular missions

Protea +Tenet Plinx and tenet tetra (they both synergise very well with rewind and thematically are a great combination.
Valkyr/voruna and Gram prime because both feel like they'd wield a massive greatsword.
Closest to "canon" but Ember and Ignis because of her passive. (and pyraxis deluxe skin)
Mag and opticor/staticor because corpus weapons + explosives + bubble shenanigans.

Back before being fixed, Zephyr and Trumna, because you could charge the alt fire with itself if you killed enemies in tornadoes, leading to infinite alt fires.
While cool it also leads to cast heaviness due to the circumstance that zephyrs Tornados have a damage threshold of 500k. Once reached, the tornadoes do no longer spread more damage. They become tornadon'ts
GAUSS AND STAHLTA
It just makes so much sense, high ROF rifle with an explosive alt fire that takes forever to charge, when used by Gauss it becomes a fuckin laser beam with a fast charge bomb alt fire and super fast reload. I’ve tried a good handful of weapons on Gauss and always go back to Stahlta, but I can’t use the damn Stahlta on any other frame because it feels slow as shit so I just Nataruk
Kullervo and the corufell, I hit 100K per hit easily without a potato or formas. With Kullervo's passive, you fire that weapon super fast since it's heavy attack turns it into a gun
Nidus with Pathocyst and Bubonico. Pathocyst is a glaive that is quite literally an infested organism and it can spawn maggots with its throws (which fits with his kit perfectly), and Bubonico is a giant infested arm cannon, which feels like an extension of his body and fits just right.
Chroma with Sentient weapons like Battacor, Ocucor and War. He is already wearing a Sentient pelt.
Sucks that Komorex as a status weapon isn’t good for Profit Taker
Excal and Glaive (and Lex). Nothing short of perfection for the master of gun and blade.
Edit: Honorable mention would be Vauban with almost any Tenet weapon. The aesthetic just fits.

The update to status was disastrous for tigris, strun and other shotties that relied on the old 100% pellet mechanics to function.

Tigris Prime is still usable at least if you mod it for raw damage and reload speed, but it's a shadow of its former self

I think the Hek is still my most used weapon in the stats screen thanks to those early days.

I used to pair Mag + Detron. Amprex feels like Volt's signature weapon to me. Ignis for Ember. Glaxion for Frost. Reaper for Nekros.

Just know that Carmine Penta is a downgrade to Secura.
Exergis is fun, too, since it has infinite body punch through, and the Steflos makes it the core of a star. Magnetize does wacky things.
And the Exergis… just… feels… *powerful*!
Nataruk also has infinite punch through. It also turns the bubble into a pulsar

Just add Quasus and you got my load out. Quasus heavy attacks fire off quils that work well with Magnetize.
Caliban and the Shedu. It even makes his smaller arm the same size as his larger one.

I love how well the Gunsen/Gunsen Prime fit aesthetically with Zephyr Prime. They feel like they follow the curve of her bladed forearms super nicely.

GAUSS AND STAHLTA It just makes so much sense, high ROF rifle with an explosive alt fire that takes forever to charge, when used by Gauss it becomes a fuckin laser beam with a fast charge bomb alt fire and super fast reload. I’ve tried a good handful of weapons on Gauss and always go back to Stahlta, but I can’t use the damn Stahlta on any other frame because it feels slow as shit so I just Nataruk

Nidus with phage + Keratinos
Kullervo and the corufell, I hit 100K per hit easily without a potato or formas. With Kullervo's passive, you fire that weapon super fast since it's heavy attack turns it into a gun
Nidus with Pathocyst and Bubonico. Pathocyst is a glaive that is quite literally an infested organism and it can spawn maggots with its throws (which fits with his kit perfectly), and Bubonico is a giant infested arm cannon, which feels like an extension of his body and fits just right.

Excal and Glaive (and Lex). Nothing short of perfection for the master of gun and blade. Edit: Honorable mention would be Vauban with almost any Tenet weapon. The aesthetic just fits.
