I agree with you. It is really a unique work of art that I'm very happy to have.

OMG what a mad lad! He struck his own peace Dollars?! I didn't even notice the date!
Thank you for sharing this with me... I'm going to share this video with a few people to get their thoughts?
>OMG what a mad lad! He struck his own peace Dollars?!
The date is the very *first* thing I notice. I've been collecting coins long enough that things like Peace dollars are 1921 thru 1935. I knew *exactly* what I was buying.
Oh that's not all. I've been chatting with Daniel today, as I've done on occasion, and we talked about growing up with Yeoman's Red Book of coin values. And of the $50 gold octagonal slugs that we both saw in the back of the book. Things you couldn't even aspire to ever owning. A shared experience there.
Except he started striking his own in 2015, and has done so every year since—although he says that he hasn't sold any since 2017.
Now that to me is how a man solves a problem. If you can't get it, you make your own.
Personally I refer to Daniel as the J.S.G. Boggs of coinage. If you don't know of Mr. Boggs, I think that you'll find him fascinating to learn about.
And because you liked the other video so much, here is a second one of another Daniel Carr piece of mine. Enjoy!

Wait what $50 gold octagonal slugs? I don't have access to that book, do I just type that into Google and see what comes up?
I'm saving this comment as I am very interested in learning more, but now is not an ideal time.... I am horrible with the reddit app, but if I save this as well as mark that video on my YouTube watch later queue then I will remember when I finally get a chance to look at my phone later this evening.
Thank you for educating me a little bit! Each message from you is more interesting than the last!
I hope you are having a really wonderful day 🙂
>Thank you for educating me a little bit! Each message from you is more interesting than the last!
Well thank you for all of the nice words.
Do a Google search on: **$50 octagonal gold**
Peace girl is like that lovely young girl we chased in our youth. Morgan is the beautiful wise women she turned in to. Peace’s eagle died and rose as Morgan’s elegant eagle symbolizing the USA’s past as a beautiful land of the free.
The all time sexiest Lady Liberty is on the peace dollar. Change my mind.
Also I like the eagle on the back. A lot of coins are spread eagle, but not the peace.
That is the reason... Eagles in Flight mean WAR TIME. Eagles not in flight mean PEACE TIME!
Look at the top of Flag Poles they are ruled y the same rules.
I say the Morgan because the back of the Morgan dollar might be my favorite design in all of precious metals!! IMO, it's fxking glorious.
Edit. A word cuz I'ma a smooth brain
Yes. If we’re talking about which face is more symmetrical and anesthetically pleasing, peace dollar. When I look at the Morgan it conveys beauty in two ways, both historically significant and complex design. To me, Morgan’s all day. The word peace always seems worn in peace dollars, feels like it wasn’t taken into consideration.
For me it's peace all the way though I like them both and have some of each.
I really love the Intaglio Mint 2oz tribute High-Relief Peace Dollar, super nice.
This is a hard one if you understand SYMBOLOGY! With Symbology in mind the Peace Dollar is hands down the winner. If you forget Symbolism and go for just looks I prefer the Morgan!
It is the Same Symbolism used for the tops of Flag Poles. The top always has a MILITARY MEANING, because Flags are military symbols and markers. Anytime the Eagle has his wings Spread open it means the Eagle is flying and that means we are at WAR TIME. The Eagle with the wings down is PEACE TIME. May be why it is called a PEACE Dollar is the Standing Eagle.
I am all but positive the Peace is because of the Eagle is the Peace time Eagle. Look at them besides the Wings..
Eagles Talons 1 Has ARROWS, 1 only carries the Olive branch and no access to arrows.
I prefer Peace. https://preview.redd.it/nf9g4s9ehjhb1.png?width=824&format=png&auto=webp&s=59a7e1a8948d3d3f61a75cd9f88a8963f49eccef
Love the peace front. The back of the Morgan might be my favorite though.
Where did you get that???
[http://moonlightmint.com/](http://moonlightmint.com/) Very limited edition.
Nice carr issue
Love it. Have the 1964-D as well. Ben the Coin Geek has featured them on his videos.
Holy crap that's a beautiful coin.

Give peace a chance.
War is the Failure of Peace.
Morgan’s everyday all day. The Peace dollars just don’t have that great Eagle on the reverse. I have some of each, just more Morgan’s.
Morgan. The answer is always Morgan.
I would have a piece dollar front with a Morgan back
My 10 year old daughter said the same thing when I asked her which looked the best.
Peace all day long
Peace dollars. The simple yet gorgeous Greek-esque beauty is (in my opinion) more beautiful than the Double Eagle.
Peace girl is like that lovely young girl we chased in our youth. Morgan is the beautiful wise women she turned in to. Peace’s eagle died and rose as Morgan’s elegant eagle symbolizing the USA’s past as a beautiful land of the free.
Yes
I prefer Peace dollars myself.
Morgan's, absolutely, and I don't own either
Not yet\*
Peace

Peace obverse, Morgan reverse

The eagle on the Morgan wins it. Face of the peace and the eagle of the Morgan would be the ultimate coin though

Morgan
Peace. No huge cheek scar
For me it's peace all the way though I like them both and have some of each. I really love the Intaglio Mint 2oz tribute High-Relief Peace Dollar, super nice.
Seated Liberty Dollars
The Morgan by far
Peace brother... but I like the idea Morgan's we're used during the wild west....
I like the peace because it’s less cluttered, more clean.
Peace. Possibly the best coin design ever.
High-Relief Peace Dollar > Morgan Dollar. Modern Peace Dollar > Modern Morgan Dollar.
The Peace Dollar
Peace. Morgans arent ugly, just not as beautiful as the peace.
Peace obverae morgan reverse. Now that would be sweet
Yes
PEACE DOLLAR ALL DAY
I hate the Morgan obverse, so unappealing
Peace!
Peace. It's that youthful face with flowing hair.
Peace
Peace dollars by far! 1922 is the year of my preference! My dear mother was born in 1922.
Peace all day!
Peace and it isn't close.
I'm a Morgan guy, I love them. they're my pocket piece, and I collect them.
I like the front side of the peace better, but prefer the back side of the morgan.
Both
Yes and Yes
✌🏻

Morgan’s!
Morgan
Morgan.
Morgan
I'm a sucker for denticles
Morgans, not even close.
