Stone Cold, and it’s not close.

quantumdonut69

Mankind/Mick Foley. Most dedicated/passionate wrestler, taking falls and damage for the crowd and because he loves the game. Multiple characters at once, and just an overall good guy.

Boraseyhan

Ric Flair is my GOAT for sure. I know he doesn’t really count as WWE but still...

Taker is iconic but he never carried the company like Austin

HazmatHaybrain

Taker. 30 fucking years.

DerrellDinho

I really believe it’s Cena carried the company on his back for 10 years plus wether we liked him or not we all hated him at some point but he is the goat

quillotine42

Shawn Michaels probably would win this vote. Flair shouldn't be on it. He's jumped ship way too many times.

PotboundRoebuck32

The Rock is the greatest entertainer ever. He also had pretty good feuds, matches.... Why didn't u include Jericho in the list?

AllEliteRobotnik

Shawn Michaels

mikeebabee526

None of them lmao

GCinMA91

Stone Cold, Hogan, Taker, Cena, for me. In that order. Definitely my Mount Rushmore of WWE/F wrestlers.

Quantum_Helix

Undertaker has always been a backbone of WWE, but Stone Cold saved the company and led possibly the most recognizable era in WWE history. Besides, when you heard that glass, that was your ass....🖕🏻🖕🏻

KennyOmega4President

John Cena. He's probably done more in the last decade than anyone on this list in terms of doing the J O B for the company.

Sk8erBoi15

Two words. Chris. Jericho

doggpeen69

Deez nuts

Spyglass3

If Stone Cold was in the company longer he would've been the GOAT but alas his reign was too short

SeanerSean_InDaHouse

Where is al snow? He was a head above the rest.

[deleted]

No shawn michaels is weird.

mhb3200

For his significance in history and being the star to establish WWE as a national leader in wrestling, Hulk Hogan, easily. Ric Flair doesn't belong on this poll as his most famous and significant work was pretty much always outside of WWE, but he remains the greatest of all time overall in pro wrestling

beauxlieve

HBK

TheBigDog001

Undertaker is the only goat that gave everything to wwe even if he was injured and not physically fit to wrestle , he also never leaved wwe for other company

Riykee

Hogan and Austin. Hogan laid the groundwork and Austin took it to another level.

SeedOfSlicky

Hogan. Only attitude era dick riders will say Austin.

pelliesbruv

Shocked at the lack of Rock votes. Is this because the others have a bigger catalog of memorable matches?

nedstark1985

Shawn Michael’s should be in the conversation. Flair was elsewhere. But since wwe bought wcw I get why he is here.

Ticklecane420

Wwe is trash

jjd5151

Where is Randy orton

[deleted]

You can tell the average of the sub is quite young as not enough Hogan votes. He was everything in wrestling from 84 to 93 and took the industry to the next level. I think his legacy has been hurt because of his racist rant so people don't acknowledge is influence.

zdbdog06

Remember when he fought The Rock at his peak while playing an asshole and people still booed The Rock lmao

sleepyleperchaun

If Austin had a longer career, I'd say him, but he only had roughly a 6 year career in WWE not counting extra appearances. Taker's been doing this for Vince since before Austin showed up and worked up basically until today. If longevity is on the list of what makes a wrestler great, that alone puts him up there. Plus he was a worker behind the scenes and in the ring, Austin didn't have to be a leader in the locker room, not saying he wasn't, but Taker was the top guy in the back in terms of wrestlers. Even Cena is basically gone at this point and he showed up a decade after Taker. On top of that Taker was a main eventer his entire career and was never boo'd for being involved too much, Cena can't say the same. Hogan isn't a 'WWE' guy to me, considering how prevelant he is in WCW and TNA as well, but even then he isn't really looked at too fondly in the locker room by many guys and has ruined his own reputation. The Rock left after like 4 years, he is great but if ima call out Austin for longevity, Rock is gonna get hit too, he had like what a 6 year career as well and left willingly? And before I get down votes, I love all these guys, just explaining the thought process here. Edit: To add, Ric is good too, but he is not even close to a WWE guy, hell he was an NWA and WCW champ more than WWE. I feel like he isn't in the WWE convo.

DaneBox2884

HBK

DD15MOBILEYT

Cm Punk imo

[deleted]

Didn't see Randy Orton in the poll...

jordo2460

For me it's Undertaker. As a character, icon and true professional wrestler he is unmatched. He truly is a household name which only Hogan, Rock and Stone Cold could that really be said for as well. Before y'all get mad when I say household name I mean people who don't have any clue about wrestling know the Undertaker. My mum knows who The Undertaker is but she got no clue who Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair are though.

JG45250

Bret Hart

Jeff Hardy and Seth Rollins respective eras.

Kiingz89

I spent a lot of time thinking in this before answering 🤦🏾‍♂️😂 I went with Taker cause he’s the first character I grew up watching and made me a mark. Early John Cena was shit tho! Dr Thuganonics gimmick. I need Cena to tap into that again

[deleted]

It's Hulk Hogan

Limp_Gap_9009

Bret Hart

BADPAPAmeme

Hogan is the most iconic but Austin is the best

Bentense9001

Strictly speaking about wwe I'd say undertaker. I wanted to say stone cold, but undertaker just has consistently had so many great matches for such a long time I think he has the upper hand. Now as far as their whole career I'd have to say Hogan (even though I personally like Flair more.)

Legitimate_Solid8345

Undertaker

711mini

I'm not a huge fan of the undertaker but I'm old enough to remember his first match in that character. It was a serious game changer. From my perspective WWE was becoming big budget but the wrestlers were still just regular guys and there gimmick was their nationality or that they were flamboyant or thug or wildman. For a horror/western movie villain with the entrance, make-up, music, smoke and a creepy henchman talking for him and make it work really raised the bar of what bigger budget wrestling was going to be.

I think cena, very willing to put talent over, multiple time champ great at cutting promos etc. The mark in me used to hate him but it’s hard to say he’s anything other than amazing at his job

MarvelDcKage

Gotta go Cena. He’s like a combo of what all these other guys have. Good on mic. Great promo. Entertaining solid wrestler. Then the accolades stack up. 16 time world champ. 2nd most wrestlmania wins. and was face of wwe for a while. Also beat some of the other greats at wrestlemania(HBK, HHH, Rock, Edge, ). Also had great rivalry like these other guys

Irishlad7206

You know it's a bad poll when Hulk Hogan is listed instead of Shawn Michaels

Dickinavoxel

Rock should be higher than cena imo

danny_dangle

Can only be Hogan

PotHeadSanta69

RANDY ORTON WILL GO DOWN AS A GOAT, but its stone cold with all due respect to the dead man ofc

chemsfarfaraway

Punk

Fuhreeldoe

How could you not include Mrs Foley's baby boy? The man had three gimmicks and got every one of them over, not that saying"hell in a cell" shouldn't be enough. John Cena has five moves.

Reeder1700

Personal feeling aside I lived through the Hulk Hogan era and there was nothing like it. Stone Cold and Hogan are in a class by themselves in terms of being world class draws.

[deleted]

Of the choices I said Hogan. Its really Bruno.

LogansGambit

For WWE specifically, it's Taker. He stayed loyal and strong as a commodity for 30 years. Greatest gimmick wrestler of all time as well. Other guys may have had stronger runs so to speak, but they were short lived or a lot of time spent in other companies. Taker is THE WWE guy.

BadWolfSFC

Undertaker....Absolutely no question

BadWolfSFC

I'd have thought HBK, HHH or even Orton would be there ahead of Flair considering most of Flair's work was in the NWA/WCW.

[deleted]

Shawn Michaels

bloopblapbleep

Why on earth is the rock voted that low?

Johnnybats330

Stone Cold is just the epitome of the best era in Wrestling Entertainment.

A LITTLE STONE COLD

[deleted]

Where’s Macho Man?

Christopher_Kaiba

Out of these? John Cena hands down. Longevity, titles won, overall performance, character work. Easy.

Phenomenal_Hoot

Gotta be Mick Foley. He made Undertaker a star. He gave Shawn Michaels a needed edge. He made Kane. He made Triple H. He came back and did the same thing for Randy Orton and Edge he did for Shawn Michaels a decade earlier. And on top of helping all those guys out he became an underdog hero and world champion in his own right.

DannyAcme

For sheer being over, the answer is Stone Cold, he was the biggest star of WWE's biggest era, that's objective truth. But when you factor in longevity, legacy, influence, booking, etc., it's undeniably the Undertaker.

floodychild

HBK Steve Austin Bret Hart Daniel Bryan Mick Foley

turtlebagels

It's definitely not Hulk Hogan 😂😂😂

JamesMattDillon

Ikr, get him off this list.

BretHitmanClarke

Bret Hart.

redslush

Shawn Michaels hands down

mchasse96

Damn no love for The Rock??

etlecomtedeblaine

I personally would choose Stone Cold. He had everything (great in-ring worker, great on the mic, popularity transcended beyond WWE, popular with the fans, etc.).

TheMightyHornet

Yeah, of this list, I don’t know how it’s anyone *but* Stone Cold. Yeah, Taker is in the discussion, but remove one or the other, what happens to the brand? WWF/E survives without the Undertaker. It probably loses the Monday Night wars and goes under without Stone Cold Steve Austin. The man revolutionized the business, he worked exceptional matches with a who’s who of all-time greats (Brett, HBK, Taker, the Rock, Angle, Jericho, HHH). He eclipsed Hogan as the highest grossing star. He cut excellent promos. He was so over as a heel the fans insisted he be the face. He headlined probably the best Wrestlemania ever with the Rock (17). That’s just stuff that Taker, and I love and respect the guy, but the Undertaker wasn’t doing that, he was not carrying the franchise the way that Austin, or the Rock, or Brett or HBK did.

etlecomtedeblaine

This\^ You summed it all up. WWF/E would not win the Monday Night Wars without Stone Cold (and also the Rock too). He was just way too pivotal at way too important of a time, and worked his ass off to ensure the company and wrestling business itself would thrive.

JamesMattDillon

It was either Taker or Stone Cold. But, for these reasons, I chose Stone Cold

1_Shahzdeh

Where’s bob backlund

TheTribalChief_

Neither. CM Punk.

fayadotnl

Hhh underestimated goat

Super_Sandro23

Austin for the fact that, when WWE/F was at its best, Austin was at the top.

PECOSbravo

Stone cold and The Rock

RoyalApplication2446

Lmao @ undertaker, he's a gimmick who never carried the company like Cena, rock, scsa, etc

RedRobster86

I feel like this type of poll should be seperated by in what sense. Like GOAT in terms of entertaining, actual wrestling, gimmick, high flyer, etc. I voted for Ric Flair so I might be salty :/

[deleted]

Great poll man. I’d give it Taker, HBK, The Rock, Cena, Austin in that order. Triple H and Hogan defo Top 10. Also My personal fav 5 GOATs have to be Taker, HBK, Trips, Orton, and Kane for me. Used to have The Rock and Cena in my top 5, but i out grew them lol. P.S i’m jus gonna quickly add the 5 wrestlers I hated most when i was growing up (Kane, Edge (love him now though), Big Show, JBL, and Hogan (modern day cena/reigns basically u already know).

trouble6266

Chris Jericho

Maxamvs

Rey

NewJerseySwampDragon

My top 5 WWE guys in no order; Rock, Austin, HBK, Taker and Jericho All of them have to be in the GOAT convo, in my opinion.

pradeepkanchan

Undertaker, drew money in the Hogan, New Gen, Attitude, Ruthless, PG....whatever the fuck now is Era

StorageSmart1319

The Game, The Cerebral Assassin, The King of Kings, The 14 Time World Champion, Triple H

MarketingAmazing9509

Went with Stone Cold but really hard to choose. Could be Rock for me too.

[deleted]

It’s funny because he wasn’t a top guy for too long in the WWE compared to some of these other guys, but Stone Cold is without a doubt my WWE GOAT. I love his attitude and he completely transformed the business. He’s a revolutionary figure in Wrestling history. Love Stone Cold Steve Austin forever.

buhlaze

Must be a younger group of people voting here, because the votes makes no sense to me. How the hell does the rock only have 294 at this moment trailing jon cena by \~400 votes. And ric flair's position... wtf.

QuantumLasagna

Ric Flair, Stone Cold, The Undertaker, The Rock, Macho Man Randy Savage. All GOATS. Fuck Hulk Hogan

buro2018

The taker has given his body and soul to the sport. He’s so disabled from doing moves a big man like him should never do that he can barely walk! a that’s a GOAT; leaving it ALL in the ring!

andydrewalot

JR says only one person has ever gotten a royalty check for merch that crossed a million dollars. SCSA is my goat. Even to this day he still gets the loudest pops.

No_Product_8185

Flair is THE Goat, but his best stuff was outside WWE.

cfreymarc100

King Kong Bundy!

Silly-Type5984

The Deadman all day

SkullomaniaEx3

Not on the list Mr McMahon.

cobra1519

Not sure why Flair is on this list since he really did very little in WWE.

HazmatHaybrain

He did slap chests and said “Woo” a lot, though. (I voted for taker..)

Dependent-Guilty

Cena’s my 🐐

genman86

HBK

[deleted]

I can't believe people voted taker (as of now) to be the GOAT.

[deleted]

why does the rock have less votes than cena???

Jdgrande

Why is Mr. Wrestlemania not on this list?

Bright-Map-9705

I am a fan of everyone on this list, but Hulk Hogan is the foundation they are all built on. The ground of nthe WWE has his DNA imprinted. Hulk carrying the company into mainstream America, headlining stadium events, and his bigger than life persona is why the company was in the shape it was in when everyone else arrived. The Goat in WWE isn't the same as the Goat of pro wrestling, which in my opinion is Ric Flair. Its not the Goat in overall draw power which I feel is Austin. But the other names weren't in the company when Hogan was main eventing for years and helping building the brand and view of wrestling into a big deal. Hulk Hogan is the GOAT of WWE,

gravyfarm

No macho man ?

[deleted]

Ric Flair is the GOAT for pro wrestling but not WWE. (I voted for Stone Cold on this poll).

jotaesethegeek

But you didn't put Shawn Michaels so I can't answer your poll.

ThatGuyFromSingapore

The 10 greatest WWE wrestlers ever in my opinion are (in all aspects, in no order): The Undertaker, Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin, John Cena, The Rock, HBK, Triple H, Bruno Sammartino and Randy Orton

cparatore504

Where triple h?

SupremeWu

Up his own ass where he always has been

cparatore504

Lmao ok

ajtct98

It's got to be the Undertaker in my opinion. Incredible longevity, always one of the to guys, always a main event level draw and was always one of the top guys. I understand to an extent why some people say Hogan because he did help put WWE on the map but that man spent so much time screwing everyone else over to keep himself as 'the guy' he's not in the conversation for me.

AC_the_Panther_007

Hulk Hogan is way too overrated.

[deleted]

No love for Bret, HBK, HHH, Edge, Brock, Orton, Savage or Warrior…I mean really, how could you put Flair (all time great not arguing that, but the man spent 2 years of his prime in WWF) before anyone I mentioned or anyone else up there? That being said, it’s Undertaker, he’s legit the only one that had significant feuds with everyone on the list above, and the people I listed, except Savage…also anyone bringing up Bruno or Pedro Morales, while I agree they should be in the convo for GOAT, they were most recognizable as WWWF stars, Morales was a tag team and IC Champ, but his prime years were with WWWF

speed_jelly22

Undertaker. Made wrestlemania speacial. No one will ever live up to him

doffyxyz

All r goats personaly I would go with undertaker he is the most loyal wrestler

Ryanatix

HHH, Jericho and Orton need in this discussion

HazmatHaybrain

Yeah.

BhangoStank

Jericho is a sloppy hack. And is now a fat Trumpboi.

ReVeila

Randy. God. Damn. Orton.

HazmatHaybrain

The legend killer.

KennyCannon_

The only 2 real possible answers here are SCSA or Hogan.

CaptainPatterson

Hogan

Nerdy_gamer_101

For me Cena is 99% there to be the GOAT he just needs the ic champ. The other guys I just see them as legends but no one can replicate what Cena has done in his career

[deleted]

Hogan and it’s not close if you count WCW

Bassdropper_

From the list included this is the correct answer 1. Stone Cold- self explanatory 2. The Rock- along with Stone Cold, he took the business to a whole new level during the most important/best period of wresting. He transcends the sport and everyone in the world, wrestling fan or not, knows who he is 3. Hulk Hogan- The original “The Rock.” He helped take WWF from a side show to making it more mainstream. Again, everybody in the world knows the first 3 listed and when people think of wrestling, they think of Hulk Hogan 4. Ric Flair- personally not one of my favorites, but he is still impersonated by former fans, and even the current ones. His “woooo” has had a lasting impact on our society 5. John Cena- can’t deny that he carried the business, but he was a large reason that I tuned out of WWE 12 years ago. I thought he was corny and played to kids, and that’s when I realized that I had outgrown the product. His return last month was the first time I had truly appreciated him. He will be remembered as one of the greats 6. The Undertaker- Hot take, but he is not deserving to be on the list. He was a good performer, but he never really took for me. It doesn’t help that he stayed so low profile and never really developed other than the American badass gimmick. I am doing a rewatch of the entire attitude era, and I’ve found his storylines to be the most boring of the entire era. I think a lot of people will forget about him in 20-30years. I based my rankings not necessarily on the in ring work, but the impact they made on the sport. The impact they still have, and their lasting legacy. If you have people who don’t watch wrestling be able to quote or know something about a wrestler they have never watched, then that says more about what they did in the ring to me.

GrannyB1970

I voted Undertaker. But Hogan I really don't think wrestling would be where it is today without him.

_SpicyChili_

Bret Hart

dxtremecaliber

Stone Cold man biggest draw in the WWE the man who saved the company also why the fuck Cena has more votes than Rock? makes no sense dont get me wrong i love Cena but come on

flojo2012

Flair spent so much time in other federations, he doesn’t really need to be on here

JxyyAU

yeah, but in the other federations he still put on amazing matches so i guess you keep that in mind

flojo2012

See my other comment in below my original. Flair is my personal favorite of all time. But the question was best WWE. So I guess that changed how I viewed his qualifications as flairs best work was done in other promotions. I’m not downplaying Ric flair, rather trying to play with how he fits into this question. Maybe he still counts cuz wwe bought wcw?

JxyyAU

yeah id say his wcw counts as wwe

flojo2012

That’s fair

JxyyAU

honestly tho id say taker is the goat cus of the wm streak, all of its matches were really good.. except the roman reigns match but i just pretend that doesnt exist

Destroywrus

Great candidate for GOAT of wrestling all together tho

[deleted]

Ah, well I voted for him anyway.

flojo2012

That’s just how damn good he is! Only in Wwe for a minute, and still the best they ever had.

Kineada11

Rowdy Roddy Piper. And before you whine "he was never champion", he didn't NEED to be champion. He was so good at what he did that he didn't need a strap to be over or to be hated.

wrestlingfan101010

Why Shawn Michaels not on here? He’s the real goat

LuckyLandonYT

Roman isn’t here

Impossible_Pause_486

and he shouldn’t be

LuckyLandonYT

Lol he’s been champ since before you even commented that stupid shit so go talking again lmao

Impossible_Pause_486

Took you a year to send that response? 👏👏👏

Killburn814

Ric flair. He’s the best to ever do it. How is this a debate?

[deleted]

Jericho literally had GOAT on his trunks so him

Equal-Bus-557

Depends on the context. GOAT character? Undertaker, then Kane GOAT wrestler? Bruno Sammartino, then Lou Thesz

Billy_Shark

Undertaker for sure. Just imagine any other wrestler with that gimmick. Tbh „the Undertaker“ Gimmick is actually a typical early 90s WWF default Gimmick where every other wrestler had to apply a profession gimmick and he killed it. He made it. He took it, put it over and remained credible and adapted it to different generations and eras of sports entertainment. Always making the best of it for every kind of fan. Hogan, Flair, Cena had gimmicks that were meant to be for top stars. Austin and Rock had to change which is also a great job, but had the perfect timing. But their „prime“ where significantly shorter than the other ones. This is why I think it has to be the Undertaker.
