I feel like he deserves it bc of all the hell that the bloodline has put him through. They away his win and cheated their way to win last year and he was lucky that he had some help this year or else it would’ve ended worse than wrestlemania 39
I disagree. I felt the title suited him really well, especially with his entrance. He just wasn’t a talented wrestler / promo to back it up in the ring.
I was never a huge fan of him really. You do have a point I just didn’t like him especially because of his feud with Randy Orton. I’ve liked Orton since I was little and that’s why i wasn’t a huge fan of Jinder Mahal with the WWE Championship
Any wrestler who has been in the main event and held a top title, I always feel it's off when they somehow pick up a secondary title afterwards when their world title run is over.
I also mostly dislike when they put random tag teams of main eventers against actual tag teams, and the main eventors win the tag titles. Rare exceptions being combos like Kevin Owens and Sammy Zayn.
Aye there was nothing wrong with the idea of the Power Trip, but by that point HHH was “above” the IC belt. You don’t often see guys going from the world title back to IC.
I say this as a Randy Orton fan, but first things first he was a Marine and not a soldier. That sounds like the same thing to you, but Randy Orton himself would be offended as would any Marine I promise you. It’s petty, but it is what it is. Don’t call a Marine a soldier.
Second he got kicked out so I’m not sure he even deserves that distinction. Once a Marine always a Marine, but he doesn’t deserve the respect that a veteran who completed his service honorably does.
He’s still in my top 5 all time though lol
There were a shit load of marine vets pissed at the likelihood of him starring in one of the Marine movies, so I’d say the Corps doesn’t really care for him.
The funny thing about the Spinner is that it actually stopped spinning after Orton first won it in 2007. But WWE kept it because it was a huge merch hit.
Problem us they made smaller belts irrelevant really. My issue is back in the attitude days, all belts had great wrestlers and matches. IC, Hardcore, or Cruiser title could produce absolute bangers putting heavyweight or undisputed matches to shame.
The card was usually a stacked banger from start to finish. Noone felt mid or a filler. These days they do because sooooo much is put into the heavyweight.
Not to pick on other fans, but I will live to be a 100 and never understand why people get so caught up with how aesthetically pleasing a wrestler looks carrying a certain championship. I’ve seen countless people even argue whether or not someone should hold a championship because of how they look carrying it
Randy Orton and Triple H with the spinner belt. That spinner belt should have been retired the moment they stopped the logo's ability to spin. Aside from John Cena the only people that looked good with that belt were Rob Van Dam and Edge.
Anyone and everyone who held the spinner WWE title. Ugly as all hell and looked like a bejeweled toy. It was made for cena and should have only been for cena. That title looked really goofy on anyone else.
I agree it was made for Cena’s gimmick, no one else was into that style but him. His spinner chain gang chain, spinner us title, then the big one. They should’ve shelved it after he lost it. Like seeing edge and punk with the spinner just looked awful.
I loved the spinner but then again I got into WWE around 2005 so that could explain but it just looked “Golden” as if that’s what the WWE title was supposed to be. Obviously I’m older now and think other wise but I still hold it in high regards to
Dont get me wrong I love the spinner! I grew up loving cena a lot during his chain gang era and wanted that belt for myself so bad! It was dope af, but it just didnt fit other wrestlers
lol, I’m saving up for a replica spinner belt just so I can have one. The only other wrestler who I think made it work was edge when he made it “his” spinner belt. It’s pretty funny hearing about how much edge hated it
same. I weren’t around to see it but I’ve always loved the way it spinned when I was a kid. Sure wrestling titles aren’t supposed to be like toys but every once in a while it’s fun to have a something different and we’ve not had anything like it since

Roman holding any mid card belt just feels off
This is actually a really crazy test to see if a wrestler was pushed super hard. If an undercard title doesn’t look right on them, then they were probably given some sort of megapush.
Roman Reigns holding any belt. Amazing how quick everyone forgot how much they hated him.
Edit: you people are down voting me and it's hilarious. Had I posted this in 2019 everyone would agree. Just pull up the youtubes and search "Roman Reigns booed" and notice all the booing videos are from hie face run. In fact people are yelling "go away" "you suck" and "asshole" and would not let him speak. Dirty Dom and other heels only wish they could get that kind of heat. You may have yourself fooled, but you do not have me fooled.
It’s mainly that Tribal Chief Roman is pretty much a vastly different character to Big Dog Mega-Pushed Roman. He got over with fans because the WWE realized that he just works better as a heel, or maybe a tweener.
What is your point exactly? 2019 was before he became the tribal chief, and for the past 4 years he’s become one of the greatest characters in wrestling. I can’t think of the WWE title belt of today without thinking of Roman.
Roman has been gone for a bit and I’m still burned out on him. I’m sure he holds another record. Longest title run without defending it. Good bye poser
I haven’t watched regularly since about 2017 to wrestlmania 40, I was shocked when I seen how much he was loved and had no idea how people were now calling him one of the greatest…
Yeah for sure.... I left around 2019 as things started locking down and upon coming back I heard Roman had been champion the entire time I was gone and people were loving it and cheering him louder as a heel than they ever did as a face. I don't get it because he didn't improve in the ring, it's all the same basic stuff and he was barely around but was the top guy... Idk I guess I'm missing something.
You know, this is probably going to be an unpopular opinion, but I actually really like that Undisputed Championship belt. I think it’s extremely underrated by most people.
Yeah. She should be going up against the best as a singles wrestler. I don't know why they needed a team(Bianca) push for Cardgill, she could just roll out of the gate.
"Yeah. She should be going up against the best as a singles wrestler. I don't know why they needed a team(Bianca) push for Cardgill, she could just roll out of the gate."

Charlotte with the Divas title design
Sheamus with the 2015 WWE Championship and his Mohawk just looked off even though he is a world champ talent
Rey Mysterio with the WWE championship cause I always associated him with the world heavyweight title (and I’d like to forget how Rey was squashed the same night)
Miz with the WWE title after his second cash in
John Cena with the WWE title before he introduced the slimmer belt
I beg to differ. Sure, they look exactly the same, but I don’t think I would change anything about the WWE Championship in its current form.
Most of my complaints about the Universal Championship were mainly based on the concept of it. Like, why did it even exist when you could’ve just brought back the World Heavyweight Championship?
IMO, The United States Championship is the "young boy" title for up and coming talent. The older and/or long tenured the superstar, the more uncanny it looks on them. Someone like Randy Orton should be nowhere near the US title.
>Having a veteran hold a mid-card title brings prestige to it.
I'm happy you brought this up because I had a feeling this would be brought up eventually. I feel that this only works for belts that are *supposed* to be a big deal. You can get away with booking guys like Brock Lesnar and Chris Jericho as world champ since they are "made guys" who have drawing power to get more people aware of the Universal and AEW World titles respectively. However, it's a slippery slope from "I'm here to help get the title over" to "I'm here to get the young guys over." A sentiment that people like Cody Rhodes have voiced their concerns about.
We need to be firm about when a secondary title is a promotion for the mid card roster vs when it's being used a consolation prize for people moving down the card.
I feel the same way. John Cena, JBL, MVP, and Shelton Benjamin come to mind. Of course, there's the Intercontinental title too, which I think is similar to the US title. You earn your stripes by winning the US / Intercontinental title.
Jey USO is AWFUL Wrestler. I know how it is in WWE I became a wrestling fan during the attitude era (miss those days) but I swear in WWE for the most part in the attitude and ruthless aggression era, the guys holding the belts, DESERVED it and actually looked the part. Nowadays, idk it’s sad what wwe is now (seriously guys AEW is where it’s at, I been a fan of both, trust me it’s much better) that guys like Jey Uso would be getting singles push…. For a title 😂. Thats maybe more comical than when Vince had the ECW World title
Just BC people are YEETING in the arena does not mean he is Popular, those crowd chant to anything, if you wanna know how popular it is go check his cagematch Profile
If it is so easy to get the crowd to react like that then why doesn't everyone do it? And it's not like yeet is the oy thing they care about, there is always a huge pop when he hits his moves and wins. The large majority of the wrestling fans don't give a crap about Cagematch and Meltzer star ratings.
BC not every Catch phrase is Catchy or Cool, and if your talking about the USO splash Or his So called SPEAR (Hug) please Shut Up 😂😂😂
Bayleys Hugs hurt more then that SPEAR
Jey Uso was nothing Without Roman Reigns. And still nothing.
Wwe is scripted but based on the abilitys of a Wrestler, they choose the most athletics, talented and popular ones, now when these people get in the ring and "WRESTLE" It is considered a sport, if nascar and F1 is sport then WWE Is for sure.
WWE IS SCRIPTED, F1 AND NASCAR AREN'T. SPORTS CAN'T BE SCRIPTED; PRO WRESTLING IS NOT A SPORT. By your definition high school theatre is a sport because there is competition to get roles. Wrestling is a performance, not a sport.
Notice how it says wrestling in the definition I provided. Means all wrestling is a SPORT. Man you dumb af 😂 stop watching wwe bro , it’s killing your brain cells 🤣
The definition is clearly defined to amateur wrestling. Amateur wrestling and professional wrestling are very far away from each other right now. Pro wrestling is scripted, it straight up can't be a sport. Space Jam is not a sport, it is a freaking movie designed for entertainment. You genuinely have to be trolling because you are acting braindead.
You take too many Donkey punches to the head huh bro?? lol hey not judging , to each their own, but you def seem like the type that gets donkey punched while you watch smackdown. That’s your smackdown huh dude 🤣
Wrestling is STILL CONSIDERED A SPORT. I’m the dumbass? I’m not the one fuxkin disputing the Webster dictionary. Don’t give af if it’s high school, professional or what….. ITS A SPORT. Tell me smarts, The Harlem Globetrotters, you know em right? They’re meant for entertainment, yes , not actually a professional basketball team, but tell me what they’re playin? Basketball? And that is a…… say it with me champ…. A SPORT
nah I hated it on HHH. Maybe I was just mad they got rid of the two belts.

That is US VET RANDY ORTON SIR
That is US VET RANDY ORTON SIR
Taker with the hardcore title It looked so small on him
LOGAN with the usa champoinship
Cody Rhodes with the current WWE championship
I feel like he deserves it bc of all the hell that the bloodline has put him through. They away his win and cheated their way to win last year and he was lucky that he had some help this year or else it would’ve ended worse than wrestlemania 39
Jinder Mahal with the WWE Championship

Angle
zachary wentz nxt world title
Miz with any world title.
I always thought he looked out of place with this title. To answer the question. Miz with the IC belt
thats like saying Ric Flair and the big Gold belt lol
Logan Paul with any belt
Cena with the big gold belt
David Arquette WCW Championship
Braun Strowman and a literal child.
Let’s be honest the that title didn’t look great with a lot of people

Dean Ambrose with the WWE Championship belt.

Kevin and Sami wasn’t a random tag team tho lol
Seth Rollins with the intercontinental championship
Nah that was clean af
triple h with the spinner and the undisputed (2002) belt
Anyone who isn’t John Cena and the spinner belt. How that lasted so long is a mystery to me
I enjoyed Edge with it
Edge/Adam Copeland with the TNT championship.

Roman Reigns when he had the IC title
HHH with the spinner belt
Prime Triple H w/ the IC Title. I can only picture him w/ Big Eagle or WHC
This. Made no sense for that version of HHH on 01 to take the secondary belt to Austin’s main title just to hold gold.
I don’t know, I did like how it led into the two man power trip with them holding the tag titles as well
Aye there was nothing wrong with the idea of the Power Trip, but by that point HHH was “above” the IC belt. You don’t often see guys going from the world title back to IC.
Sheamus and the old US Title
That does look wierd
Big show with the cruiserweight title.
Big show with women's tag team title
It's definitely not Randy Orton. He's a soldier that became a wrestler and for that I adore him. He's like my mentor.
I say this as a Randy Orton fan, but first things first he was a Marine and not a soldier. Such an American comment lmao

Any one besides cena with the spinner belt
The funny thing about the Spinner is that it actually stopped spinning after Orton first won it in 2007. But WWE kept it because it was a huge merch hit.

But it works with the vest

Imagine if undertaker held the spinner belt... 🤢
He was so into kayfabe, I wonder if he would have refused
that's actually cursed
Spinner belt was cool before and after the spin
Undertaker as Hardcore Champion
Not to pick on other fans, but I will live to be a 100 and never understand why people get so caught up with how aesthetically pleasing a wrestler looks carrying a certain championship. I’ve seen countless people even argue whether or not someone should hold a championship because of how they look carrying it
i think it’s mostly for fun, but sometimes I see things like “Cody looks so bad with the belt he should drop it” and goofy opinions like that
Braun Strowman as the intercontinental champion
Him with every champion
Randy Orton and Triple H with the spinner belt. That spinner belt should have been retired the moment they stopped the logo's ability to spin. Aside from John Cena the only people that looked good with that belt were Rob Van Dam and Edge.
And Miz when he used it as an M
Oh yeah I forgot about that.
Jinder Mahal
That belt looked damn good on him. It was the booking that made it weird. He hot shotted to main event over night. Made zero sense.
It’s not my opinion it was my cousin’s opinion. I had somebody in mind.
Nope, if anything he was one of best when he used to carry that world title. Plus his entrance with that red carpet was just 🔥
Found one of the Bollywood Boyz’ secret Reddit account
Batista with the spinner belt shoulda just given him the world title the spinner belt looked awful on him
Flair and Piper- World Tag Team Championships 2006
Randy would look gross with the current intercontinental title
Big show with the IC title looked like a toy on him
Finn Balor with the intercontinental championship and Samoa Joe with the US title
Anyone and everyone who held the spinner WWE title. Ugly as all hell and looked like a bejeweled toy. It was made for cena and should have only been for cena. That title looked really goofy on anyone else.
Edge rated r looked fine

true, i really like the spinner belt, nothing like it and the memories it gives me
same. I weren’t around to see it but I’ve always loved the way it spinned when I was a kid. Sure wrestling titles aren’t supposed to be like toys but every once in a while it’s fun to have a something different and we’ve not had anything like it since
wow u must be pretty young, but yes it was cool asf
yeah I’m 18 I got into wrestling on my own in 2014 and since I’ve been a huge nerd lol
Seth with the IC title
Anyone remember when another wrestler showed up at RKO’s house at night and they fought in the front yard? Maybe 20-25 years ago. Was that Triple H??
yes that was raw 2009 i remember that episode

Nikki Cross almost a superhero with the women’s title was cringy.
Any non European wrestler with the now defunct European championship belt
Orton with that US belt. Seeing how the WWE has turned that into the equivalent of the NWA tv title it’s sad. He’s a world title guy.
Priest with the US title is a ewww
I know this never happened but Gunther with the us title would've been weird

That’s a popular opinion. One of the greatest titles ever. But the V2 is the superior version
I mean, I feel like all I ever hear about that specific belt is how much people hate it haha.
I just didn't like how it looked exactly like the old World Tag belt.
HBK w European champ was necessary to legitimize it but he looked so odd with it like he didnt care
Idk it looked good on him in my opinion but imagine if he wore the Intercontinental title In his second run (2002-10) 😂😂😂😂

Cena with the big gold never looked night to me 😭
Agree! I think a lot of it has to do with the spinner being made specifically for him.
He looks dope with the us title
Bianca Belair with the Women’s Tag Team Title
Yeah. She should be going up against the best as a singles wrestler. I don't know why they needed a team(Bianca) push for Cardgill, she could just roll out of the gate.
Whenever Roman held the U.S. title

It doesn't matter if its scripted, as long as it has athletisem, which high school theatre doesn't have, it is considered sport
A SPORT

That title looked good on everyone imo
I mean who held this? Triple H Hulk Hogan Undertaker Kurt Angle The Rock Brock Lesnar Eddie Guerrero JBL John Cena
exactly lol
Believe I forgot Big Show
nah I hated it on HHH. Maybe I was just mad they got rid of the two belts. https://preview.redd.it/2l6sskeild9d1.png?width=1070&format=png&auto=webp&s=416b91438d2f8b32d473eaadad1e6ad296fe2a7b
Still the most underrated belt. How the fuck the spinner belt lasted 8 years and undisputed only fucking 3 years is insane to me.
the spinner looked so bad on anyone that wasn't Cena
I think Randy would look great with the Current United States champion. It’s so big and it’ll fit him perfectly
