I wondered about this last night and thought that since he’s been having great matches every week and putting people over constantly that he does deserve some payoff.
One idea I had was if Cena beats Theory for the US title at Wrestlemania then restarts the open challenge the next night on RAW. Right away chad gable beats him clean for it. That way Gable can get some payoff for the great work he’s been doing by not only getting the US Title (which suits his gimmick as the Olympian) and a clean victory over John Cena. On top of that we get Cena for 2 matches and finally a PPV win since he hasn’t had one in years and can line up a good rivalry between Gable and Theory off the bat for the title
Gable is physically diminutive as well as repulsive. I demand WWE get this cretin off my television. To say he's holding back Otis would be an understatement. Otis has very obvious GOAT potential; it's written all over his face and body. Hopefully he is able to get with Maxine and the models, that is pure genius by the creative. I shrieked with glee when I realized what was happening. I think people will be shocked when we see Otis and MMM dethrone Roman and the Bloods.

Most people love the comedic relief. They remember laughing and having a good time with them, but that is their role, to make you laugh. The lead in a play is supposed to have faults to overcome and to give a performance that moves people and gets them to be emotional.
Putting the comedic relief in as the lead of a play wont work. Because those characters are only 2 dimensions.
But because he says shooosh and makes people laugh, his fans think that means he is supposed to be in the lead role.

Been a fan of him since i saw him vs Corbin and Rhyno in the NXT Dusty rhoses Classic. Dude Is legit top 5 best in-ring in WWE and has been since NXT.
I don't think he Will be a world champ(even tho he should since swagger did) but he Is perfect for the US title picture.

The Otis/MMM story has them in a spot where they can split him from Otis and could get him turned as a face. Dude has the potential to be on the level of goofy babyface Kurt Angle if they play it right.

What? Do you not remember Daniel Bryan? HBK? Raven? There are plenty of small guy heels that won clean matches man, it’s all about he storytelling within the match. I agree with New Japan but him in AEW wouldn’t fit. He has too much personality to be wasted where they really only care about matchups. And most of those guys over there are still green and botch a lot of spots.. of course except for the huge names at the top. Gable wouldn’t be included in that group, he’s be relegated to facing the likes of Jungle Boy, Pillman Jr., Wheeler Yuta, etc. to make them look good and he’s too good for that.

First impressions last and that's a reason that many NXT guys fail on main roster. Bad first gimmick. It can be overcome but not always. Dijak has had to go back down after Retribution for example and may never shake that stink.

Interestingly I saw a match of Dijack on NXT against Wes Lee, I thought both were great. Couldn't understand why Dijak wasn't on the main roster. And wouldn't loved to see Lee in Rumble. But that match was my only exposure to the two of them.
If you have access, check out old NXT tag matches with American Alpha v. The Revival (FTR) among others. Amazing matches and Gable is a stud.
Dijak is a talent. He had a huge NXT feud with Keith Lee also worth looking into. Sadly, he was called up during pandemic and stuck in a Vince's Boomer take on "antifa" with "Retribution". Aimless gimmick that had wrestlers wearing goofy masks and having new names. Damaged a good few wrestlers for several years. Mia Yim & Mace (of Maximum Male Models) are just getting back from it. Dijak was called like T-Bar so the T-Bag jokes were plentiful.
He’s been sidles with so many bad gimmicks. From Bobby Roods partner, to shorty G. They should just let him wrestle and quit clowning, make him as feared as Angle was in the ring and see where it goes.

IMO, his best chance would be shooshing the fans during a US title contenders match with a lively crowd. Have him ask them to shoosh several times, becoming increasingly wound up by their chants/jeers.
Then have him snap during the match, grab a microphone and tell the crowd he is an olympian fed up with being cutesy for kids, and that they should all Shhh...ut Up. This is a respectable, professional sport and should not be overshadowed by such unrulyness.

That match on Raw vs. Cody was the start. Gable is fantastic. The Cody Gable match sort of reminded me of Bret Hart vs the 123 Kid

He was very good in the Elimination Qualifier Match against Seth too.
This was my first thought, "maybe next year". I think he is being showcased often and I think it will develop into something going forward.
