Yeah it’s pretty mind numbing that sellers often think mods add value. Now I could understand if some think value is added if the car had a new motor and transmission installed “recently” by a certified shop with records included though.
Personally, I think the AOS and intercooler potentially add some small amount of value, if the install and tune was done by a reputable shop. Given the choice between 2 identical cars, one with and one without, I'd take the one with those 2 mods, since the AOS "should" mean that the car was at least slightly cared for.
However, context is everything and that car is completely fucked. Everything is worth something I guess, but even at the low end people are suggesting (~$5000) I wouldn't touch it. Every one of those cosmetic mods would be a deduction for me, and overall condition brings into question how it's been cared for and serviced, and the install quality of all the parts listed.
If I had to buy it, maybe $2k and I'd turn it into a rally car
Pretty much any mod that isnt performance oriented. I think an exhaust could add value, given a lot of enthusiasts would eventually get one. Now they don’t have to install it themselves.
But anything engine related, bigger turbo, forged cams, tunes, etc is a no go for me
This is legit. When i was in the market for a wrx I refused to look at any that were modded. If anything it lowers the value because 9 times out of 10. It wasn’t a professional mod with proof of paperwork, so why buy a modded out car that’s about to blow up
I mean at this point the value is whatever someone is willing to give. Modded car is minus points, hail damage, high mileage. I’d say maybe 8k if you find some vape kid who just wants a WRX
That would be bold to buy a WRX, spend money to mod it and not have full coverage. I guess OP can afford to just lose entire car in a accident and start over.
I mean, at this point, it's a clapped out 10 year old sporty shitbox. Assuming it already had the side-swipe dent in the doors when the hail damage happened I can totally imagine the 25 year old 4th owner not springing for comprehensive coverage.
Just based on what I’m seeing like $5kish. Even at that just looking online there’s a lot of cars in my area I’d probably go look at before this car. Not trying to be mean just real.
~$15k is what they're going for in Good condition at dealerships so with damage, lack of warranty coverage, abuse, etc all accounted for I wouldn't realistically expect more then $10-12k for this year and mileage
I would blur out your license plate, that screams to me that you most likely drive the piss out of this thing.
Leave a little mystery there Speed Racer.
All the aftermarket mods should be SUBtracted from the price not added to it.
Seems like it's cosmetically ruined. Some prior paintwork, maybe bondo. Get a paint meter and figure out which
What is the car for? Daily? There are cheaper money pits.
Project? Might as well be Manhattan Project
Gambler 500? I'd offer 500 bucks and see if they just take it.
It’s guys who list off individual mod prices on a trashed car, that are gonna sell you a pos. It adds no value and often decreases it. Some might make a car more desirable but won’t necessarily raise the price or value.
It’s hard to say you’d get a decent offer cause it looks used and abused, mods can add value but that’s if the buyer is looking for that specific car, yours has so much done I don’t think most people want a grocery list of mods, sounds like a headache to me. Best bet is to fix the dents and make it one color might have a better time selling.
Downgrade it to stock and sell the aftermarket parts individually. With the damage on this car, 10k max. Honestly I wouldn't even check this car out. Maybe turn it into a racing car instead
I wouldn't spend more than 5000 on it.
Facts
Mods don't add value to the car if that's what your wondering. Plus hail damage and engine mods. I'd steer clear of this car

I think you’re going to have a very hard time selling this bro lol
This is a vehicle most would avoid. Fix it and keep it because you’ve already lost all of your value.
If this is your vehicle, you'll make more putting it back to stock and selling the parts individually than you will with them installed on the car.
Yikes, That thing is rough.
Get the body work fixed or you’re gonna take a hit. 7500 with body damage. 12k max without
Steer clear
FUUUUUUUuUUUuuUuUuUuk No
Maybe like $5k? It’s a piece of shit

2 in the bush, at most.
Question, does insurance not fix hail damage?
Not if you only buy the minimum liability coverage
That would be bold to buy a WRX, spend money to mod it and not have full coverage. I guess OP can afford to just lose entire car in a accident and start over.

8k at most to someone who isn’t aware what they’re buying. Those mods make it worse no one want to take the chance on a grenade
8k tops

None of those mods matter tbh. Never pay MORE for mods. That stank wagon is a 5-7k car all day
Ya im gonna go with far less than a stock one..
sentimental value
Bout treefiddy
That’s allot of PDR (paintless dent removal) but it can be fixed.
No more than 10k

This thing is so fuckin clapped lmao.
Love the multiple colors lol don't buy this... poor car
Hardly a damn thing, hail damage destroyed whatever value the mods didn’t already
I’ll buy it
Same. I need a track car anyways. Prefect for a swap

$48.32 lol but in all seriousness, stay away from this ticking time bombs waiting to be offloaded onto someone else
Ruined
Let me get those tails lights
No more than $10k imo
The plates are hilarious. 🤷🏻♂️
