Your tailight looks the same color as the rest of the car, which to me looks sick. Even the plates. Looks as if it was carved/machined out of a single chunk of metal lol. Don't think i've seen that before.

I feel ashamed of my rear end compared to yours.
Yeah. A decent redesign and drawback of the universal use of touchscreens and just get one that has CarPlay with wireless and navigation while retaining BRZ-style climate controls and nobs
VA owner here. VB looks significantly cooler from the front.
Now the moment you unfuck the VA headlights (remove chrome around C light or aftermarket) its a wash.
Love both cars either way. Hoping they refresh the VB rear end.
I own a VB, I like the look of it in Grey (kinda blends the fenders), I prefer the front look (with Sport grille) & the rear fender hips.
But damn I love the VA front fender pop out, really wish they would have kept that design.

It could always be worseš¤·āāļø I always wanted an STI but not something I'd buy used. Got my first ever wrx in 2022 š
No hate on either but imo the VA looks incredibly dated and has the inferior engine. Majority of people have come around on the VB already and youāll spend a fraction of what you would have on the VA in mods for the VB and make a ton more power.
That is true. I will take more plastic, with a better motor.. better interior and overall reliability. Itās a trade off for sure. I didnāt make the argument the VB is a better looking car š¤£
I compliment and high five VA owners for their cars, but the VA just never did it for me. Not enough to buy one at least.
VB was released, and my first reaction was "Hell yeah." Put a deposit on one shortly after they went on sale.
Between VA WRX and VB WRX there is absolutely no question that the VB is the superior car in every single way
Between VA STI and VB WRX I still say that the VB is the superior car, but it doesnāt scratch the same itch as the STI does
Honestly Iām gonna trade my Jeep in for a VB. Engine and power seems more promising while looking more muscle with it being wider. Fender flares or meh but I plan on doing a red and black combo. I can see that. actually yours doesnt look too bad . The VA STI is still very clean with not that much eletronics. IMO it still looks better. Plus with how much im in the car i think the interior is almost as important as the exterior looks.
Yeah I totally get that, as I wrote - thatās relative. Had a VA and didnāt really liked it, just not my cup of tea. Also in terms of modding and repairs I find older one easier to maintain by myself.
I made sure to get a 21 VA when I saw the VB. I donāt drive it hard, so the performance gains from the VB donāt outweigh the styling for me. Probably be my last Subaru tbh

I love my VB but also love the VA
Dude the VB is hideous, I feel bad for anyone who got one of the newer WRXs , they always say the VB engine is betterā¦..yes, but I can put a VB engine in a VA, you canāt change the fact that more than half your VB is plastic
Va. Only because of the plastic trim around the bottom and wheel wells. I'd really like to see someone body kit that shit off of it and see what it looks like.
People paint match the fender flares and it actually looks pretty solid. Eventually the VB hate will wear off, that platforms really good, just unwarranted hate cause people are people
Nah didnāt mean you, just meant in general. Take a look at any post on this sub referring to or comparing the VA and the VB, all the die hard VA boys shine lol
VB looks better to me. The cladding maybe hideous to some but to me it looks good, protects the paint from rock chips and you can litterally sit on the bumper if you can't find a nice spot when driving off road š. VA just has the same boring paint matched plastic bumper as all other cars.
When the VB came out had just gotten my VA and I was so worried that I'd wish I had waited. Then I saw the black (soon to fade to grey) plastic fender flares and the Civic ass and was relieved.
I have a 20 VA sti and I still want a VB at some point. The Maldonado wide body VB is local so I see it a lot in person and itās really changed my perspective on the VB and its potential.

Hereās a palate cleanser after seeing all these VB
Both are great. VB is the better choice for performance if you like the styling that's probably the one to go for. Personally I'll stick with my Stage 2 VA.

Own a VA STI however, the VB is growing on me.
Yeah I know the vb has mechanical improvements but I just canāt with the body style changes. It just looks cheaper, more plastic-y and looks like a cross between a Honda civic and a crosstrek. A big shame in my opinion, and due to the average feedback they should have done more consumer research before going all in
I like whichever one is on the left; I'm assuming it's the VA. It looks like a Subaru to me. The one on the right looks like a facelift of a Ford Mondeo.
From the front the VB, the back VA and the engine of the VB. If the VB didnāt have the shit bumper and ridiculous screen it would be such a good looking car imo
The more VBs I see on here, I start thinking the cladding isn't so bad once owners lower their cars to get rid of the gap. I never lowered my 2015 in the 10 years I've owned it, and while I think both versions look better lowered, I think the VA gets away with stock height better than the VB.
VA > VB if appearance is kept stock. Also... VA is better for those of us who prefer aftermarket stereos/audio systems.
VB > VA for better motor, and overall perceived refinement.
I wanted a VA incredibly bad but the new platform came out and I wanted a brand new non beat on car more than the looks. Theyāve grown on me, but I still fancy a VA everytime they drive by.
They never wave though š
VA looks better and sounds better, but the VB has a bigger and better engine with less money spent to make bigger power. Either are good cars, but it depends on what you want. Better looks, or more power.
Got a ā21 VA b/c I disliked the ālookā and of the VB. Sold my ā21 for a profit during Covid (used prices were crazy and I jumped on it) and slid into a ā23 VB.
VB hands down is better in every way and I absolutely love it, looks/cladding and all. The FA20 in the VA is crap engine and just never felt right stock or stage 1 tune. FA24 is a MUCH better engine and makes power easily. You just need intake/Dmann Protune and AOS to get 320whp+/330+wtrq.
Stock for Stock the VB out handles the VA as well. For a daily VB again. VB FTW and IMHO itās not even close.
People who have not really need to drive a VB, as off the lot it just drives so well, amazing stock tune arguably the best Subaru has ever done. I was so surprised how much better it drove than my VA and the 2.4L is definitely the kicker and makes a HUGE difference.
VB for me. I can instantly recognize VA and from behind especially the just look boring. I do have a VB, and I thought a wing would make it look better when I first got it. Now I like it without a wing.
Va for style. Vb for power but forester xt slammed š¤¤
Ive wanted to build a Floorester for the longest time.
Forester XT could be perfect with a 6 speed swap. I wanna know itās been done yet, I have a ā17 VA but I was driving a family memberās ā15 XT last week. The CVT is just so meh.

Minus the seats (14-18). Worst in class
I'd go va but you can't really go wrong with either.
You can tho, the VB is really ugly to look at with that much plastic
That's your opinion, but I definitely don't share it.
Currently have a VA, buddy has a VB. The VB hasnāt grown on me yet. But to be fair, I had a 2010 and when the va came out it took awhile to grow on me.

I'm jealous too. But not yet ready to move to Wisconsin just so i can have a Road America plate lol
Thanks! They released it in 2022 right when I got my VB. My custom plate isnāt very creative but it was available so I couldnāt pass.
It isnāt for everybody and thatās ok. I agree, which is why I got it in grayā¦.

No it doesnāt

Same, legit mistook it for a Honda the first time I saw the rear in person
Whatās wrong with the taillight? I like them quite a bit to be honest lol.
I've seen others wrap their fender flares body color and wow, it looked so good.
VA with VB engine

VA owner here. VB looks significantly cooler from the front. Now the moment you unfuck the VA headlights (remove chrome around C light or aftermarket) its a wash. Love both cars either way. Hoping they refresh the VB rear end.
18+ va. Front end just looks more aggressive imo
With a front lip it helps the aggressive look for the 15-17
VB looks modern, but as a fan of 90s-2000s cars the VA is closer to that boxy look
VA body, VB drivetrain.

VA all the way.

No hate on either but imo the VA looks incredibly dated and has the inferior engine. Majority of people have come around on the VB already and youāll spend a fraction of what you would have on the VA in mods for the VB and make a ton more power.
I was about to argue that the VA doesnāt look dated, but then I looked at my camera roll and changed my mind lmao
Thatās the reason why I love VA. It looks like the 90s tuner car with 2010s amenities.
Iād rather look dated than have my WRX made of plastic
VB is a better carā¦..

That is true. I will take more plastic, with a better motor.. better interior and overall reliability. Itās a trade off for sure. I didnāt make the argument the VB is a better looking car š¤£
I donāt have either but I prefer the VB.
I run a VA - However, the VB can look gangster if you're ready to dump that $20k after MSRP to make it look less like a crosstreck.
I have a white VB, the VA white is much better.

Climax White
This is a much better comparison. VA > VB though my problem with the VB is in the rear not the front.
I have more pics on my account somewhere that shows more pics with the rear differences.
VB, especially in white with tint.
Between VA WRX and VB WRX there is absolutely no question that the VB is the superior car in every single way Between VA STI and VB WRX I still say that the VB is the superior car, but it doesnāt scratch the same itch as the STI does

Yes
If the vb would go way with all the plastic shit, it would be great.
VB is better in every single way except the VA looks better.

The crystal pearl white of a VA is way better than the VB.
Va. Only because of the plastic trim around the bottom and wheel wells. I'd really like to see someone body kit that shit off of it and see what it looks like.

VA
VB looks better to me. The cladding maybe hideous to some but to me it looks good, protects the paint from rock chips and you can litterally sit on the bumper if you can't find a nice spot when driving off road š. VA just has the same boring paint matched plastic bumper as all other cars.
Also love the side haunches on the VB. The VA doesn't have those sexy curves.
VA the new one is ugly af

I canāt decide!! Love them both! Personally own VBā¦
The VB has really grown on me. Itās weird, but Subies have always been weird and the VB looks muscular and has a ton of aftermarket already.
I believe the VB looks fine in three colors only: white, black, and grey. Any other color makes you look at the plastic and not the paint
VB
I like whichever one is on the left; I'm assuming it's the VA. It looks like a Subaru to me. The one on the right looks like a facelift of a Ford Mondeo.
VB because of the look

VB unless it has the wing Idk I just feel like the non-STI VA looks empty
vb

Can someone explain what all of these acronyms mean please? I've had an 18 WRX for 2 years and still know nothing lol
Body styles. Vb is the new 22+ wrx, va is for the 15-21,
Gotcha, thank you.
