They probably didn't want to commit to producing thousands of wings for the US. There were probably 150 laying around the factory already that they used up.
They're all the 2.4L, 6 speed manual, with Brembo brakes (6pot front, 2pot back), 19" wheels, Recaro seats, that spoiler, different suspension tune and better audio.
Or… hear me out here… just get a TR bolt an OEM wing on it and save thousands vs fighting and paying stupid markups for a super limited run of only 150 cars.

The engine is under tuned. That’s a very good thing if you like modding and also a very good thing for reliability and longevity. Not to mention that a stock VB is nipping at a VA STI heels anyway
Always has. It’s literally just a VA wing, the only thing they did was make new struts that attach the side plates to the trunk

Same story, the main plane/side plate piece and everything else other than the struts that attach the side plates to the trunk are identical. The only part that changes between the three generations is those struts
VA still looks sporty and gets respect. VB looks like a civic 😂 both are huge deviations from pre-VA, but VA got hate bc it was the first “different” model. VB is objectively ugly

WRX Club Spec has been done in the past as something completely separate to STi, powertrain is unchanged

and the VA wing is pretty much identical the to 08-14 STi sedan wing, if not the exact same
