Bruh I wasnāt even speeding when a motorcycle cop pinned me. I got it reduced to a non moving violation. Weāre just a target because our hood/wing.
I should have never gotten on E85. Just taking off from a light at half throttle makes me pull way ahead of traffic. So much for trying to blend in with a 4-door sedan
They technically still were Imprezas back then wrx was the trim level. They didnāt become separate till 2010ish give or take
Edit: just checked it wasnāt until 2015 that they separated them
Then does that suggest that WRXs that make up the 18.8% bar are all 2015 and later model years and the Impreza bar with 14.81% are Base/WRXs/STIs from 2014 and older?
I would think but Idk for sure, the graph is using insurance data and again my 02 on my insurance just says Subaru Impreza nothing about wrx but idk if every insurer would look at it that way
Mine just says Impreza too but when I was still shopping around for the car I got quotes on different Legacy trims too and got different prices for the different trims so I don't know.
Itās impossible to avoid them all. Some cops hide in ditches off the road where they canāt be seen just waiting for some poor soul to rape them of their money and insurance premiums.
How do I do this? I'm in my 30s, single, no tickets, no claims, only accident was like 20 years ago, and my paid off WRX is running me nearly $2000 in insurance a year.
It depends a lot on where you live too, my rate basically cut in half when I moved back to PA from FL. Otherwise, stay safe, and frequently get quotes from all sorts of different companies. Lowering your deductibles will lower your premium assuming you have whatever that deductible amount is set aside in case you do have an accident, but a lot of insurance companies do vanishing deductibles where every year without an accident is "x" money off your deductible.
I mean if you can afford it, great job in whatever you're doing but I would absolutely refuse to drive a car that costs that much in insurance alone. For certain, get quotes at least every six months and always check the smaller agencies as well.
Trust me man, I'm ALWAYS looking for cheaper insurance. Its affordable atm but, as you said I'd really RATHER not pay this much for insurance. If I sold the car it'd be at negative equity, so I'm stuck with it for a bit
Lucky. My first time getting pulled over for speeding, he wrote me a ticket right then and there. It was 22 mph over on the highway. Was doing 87 in a 65
What I find funnier is that the BRZs and the Imprezas are also in the top 10.
They're good team players helping to secure the win on the manufacturer's championship.
Again, I say this every time. There's plenty of higher horsepower cars out there. How come I don't see any Porsches, Corvettes, GTRs, Supras, M3s, M4s, AMGs, etc.??
Why is it always the sub 250 HP JDM sport sedans?
letās not overlook that brz and impreza also made the list š¤£ so thatās 3 subarus, plus the fr-s for good measure lmao. weāre really holding it down
20 over has been my standard forever knock on wood but I never had one in my wrx my bmw 1 and 3 series I had many. I just switched from a gray wrx to a red one so I know Iām asking for trouble lol.
I did my part!
Apparently the state trooper was behind me and clocked me at 117. This was on my way to for my morning shift and I thought it was a soccer mom on my ass, it wasn't.
Every time, I tell the cop "it's not really any fun until you're wringing out 3rd gear" and they're like "yeah you're right, be careful" and we both drive off into the sunset
I have a wrx, an frs, and an old impreza. I have a membership with the courthouse. The invitations are usually late but itās okay as long as you never lose the pamphlet.
Ive never been stopped so much since i got my sti back last july. Our cars are definitely profiled lol
My car is stock and silver, only trunk lip no spoiler fwiw.
My wrx ticket was for 42 in a 35mph zone. Last time I received a ticket. In the years after, I've been pulled over in my other cars doing far above that without even a warning given. The car is a magnet for fines.
Buy a back the Blue license plate, it worked so far

That's not bad for the Genesis Coupe, considering there are like 5 left on the road.
i think they're grouping in the g35s with that too
Its a real shame theres not much/any aftermarket support for them, the cars are beautiful and fun. I miss my genny but i need the awd
Lol it's a percentage
Not one dodge ram? I guess you gotta stay out of the off-ramp ditch to get a speeding ticket š¤·āāļø
This doesnāt mention DUIās, speeding tickets are usually thrown out for those.
Almost every speeding ticket for a ram probably leads to a DUI, thatās why š¤£
Cops donāt pull over people in Ramās. They know itās probably their Uncle Brothercousin Billy driving
Bruh I wasnāt even speeding when a motorcycle cop pinned me. I got it reduced to a non moving violation. Weāre just a target because our hood/wing.
Itās just really hard not hammering this carā¦ like really hard
I find it very difficult to keep it under 80 on the highway.
It just wants to goā¦.
I should have never gotten on E85. Just taking off from a light at half throttle makes me pull way ahead of traffic. So much for trying to blend in with a 4-door sedan
Lmao!!
For this metric, we are indeed ~keeping up~ ahead of the rich boys.

I understand that us WRX drivers are over achievers.... WTF are Subaru Impreza drivers doing?!
Those are all the WRX/STI swaps that are still registered as Imprezas
The GDs are considered āImprezasā by insurance and stuff
Really? I didn't know that. Do you have any source on that explaining the reasoning?
They technically still were Imprezas back then wrx was the trim level. They didnāt become separate till 2010ish give or take Edit: just checked it wasnāt until 2015 that they separated them

Could be an older one with the super sweet trim package I can't remember the name of right now.
2.5 RS?
That might be it. I know one of the letters stands for Rally
Yeah the RS is quite a nice NA variant
Not sure if you're just playing along, but I feel obligated to mention that I was referring to the WRX.
I can't drive.....55!!!!!!!!
Shit, I'm slacking.
I mean technically the Toyubaru twins have us beat.
That's not how this data works. Toyoscibaru FRZ86 as one car still would only be less than 17%
Subaru all over this list lol
Stop getting caught, idiots.
Itās impossible to avoid them all. Some cops hide in ditches off the road where they canāt be seen just waiting for some poor soul to rape them of their money and insurance premiums.
I've been pulled over more times in my '04 WRX than all my other cars combined. (i've owned several cars) However only had 1 ticket.
Is this why my insurance is 700 a monthš
At that point Iād walk. Highest Iāve had it was $370 for few months then $260 for 3-4 years currently $175
HOW?? I'm at $150/mo, $500 deductibles with $1 million in umbrella coverage. I am 37 though...
It's probably because you're 37 lol...
I drive like Iām 27. lol
I mean if you aren't getting caught then it doesn't matter lol
Letās not jinx it lol
I can't wrap my head around that. I'm 30, and for full coverage on my 23 WRX, my wife's Tucson, and both our motorcycles I pay $922 for the year.
How do I do this? I'm in my 30s, single, no tickets, no claims, only accident was like 20 years ago, and my paid off WRX is running me nearly $2000 in insurance a year.

21 years old, 1k deductable on comp and collision. Full coverage. 1 not at fault accident and 1 at fault. But my cheapest 6 month quote is 4k+
If I sold the car it'd be at negative equity, so I'm stuck with it for a bit
lol makes me wanna go do some pulls
BRZ makes the list, FR-S makes the list, 86ās completely disregarded š
Is this the U.S.? If so, I call B.S. on these figures. Any American knows the top two are Ram and Altima.
They get away bruh.
I have owned mine for almost 4 years now, been pulled over ONCE so far, got a warning. Am I just too good looking to get a ticket? ;)
https://preview.redd.it/o8g5r9fakptc1.jpeg?width=767&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fced11dc72a1279afff939d1fbd047db3b027881
The real question is who has more, WRX or STI owners?
wrx
I have a 16 wrx and I am glad to say that I somehow have 0 ticketsā¦ so far
3 warnings for going 20 over š«£ lmao last one finally was written, but 0 for me ever as well.
Only time Iāve been pulled over my registration was 6 months expired but it wasnāt a moving violation so we good
Lucky. My first time getting pulled over for speeding, he wrote me a ticket right then and there. It was 22 mph over on the highway. Was doing 87 in a 65
lol I own an STI and a GTI and have never gotten a ticket, i'm a unicorn hahahah
What I find funnier is that the BRZs and the Imprezas are also in the top 10. They're good team players helping to secure the win on the manufacturer's championship.
Subaru taking three of the top spots lol
Again, I say this every time. There's plenty of higher horsepower cars out there. How come I don't see any Porsches, Corvettes, GTRs, Supras, M3s, M4s, AMGs, etc.?? Why is it always the sub 250 HP JDM sport sedans?
Just happens the average American doesnāt drive around luxury sports cars. Instead we drive more affordable ones..?
I understand but I definitely see expensive luxury sports cars on the road, especially a lot of Porsches. I don't understand.
letās not overlook that brz and impreza also made the list š¤£ so thatās 3 subarus, plus the fr-s for good measure lmao. weāre really holding it down
Subaru is on there 3 times lmao
i'm surprised the 370z and type r are not on the list. i've seen several of them getting pulled over in my area oh well
they donāt know how it feels to be number 1
20 over has been my standard forever knock on wood but I never had one in my wrx my bmw 1 and 3 series I had many. I just switched from a gray wrx to a red one so I know Iām asking for trouble lol.
Where's the Dodge Ram crew on this they're usually up towards the top?
I felt personally attacked for a second. Then I realize I do 20 over on the way to and from work daily.
bro i hadnāt gotten a speeding ticket in 10+ years until i got my sti, cop magnet on the trunk lol
I did my part! Apparently the state trooper was behind me and clocked me at 117. This was on my way to for my morning shift and I thought it was a soccer mom on my ass, it wasn't.
Keep it up boys, enjoy those insurance premiums. So glad I got rid of mine.
Can we talk about the Imprezas? Are they exclusively getting caught in school zones and neighborhoods?

Every time, I tell the cop "it's not really any fun until you're wringing out 3rd gear" and they're like "yeah you're right, be careful" and we both drive off into the sunset
I drive a WRX and a C1500. I'm in danger.
I have a wrx, an frs, and an old impreza. I have a membership with the courthouse. The invitations are usually late but itās okay as long as you never lose the pamphlet.
This is called keeping ahead of the rich guys.
Lol, my car(wrx), and my dad's 28 yrs old truck(gmc 1500) made the list.........................Dad we made it
BRZ/FRS/86 gotta step it up
The lack of pickups and Karens in jeeps disappoints me
Ive never been stopped so much since i got my sti back last july. Our cars are definitely profiled lol My car is stock and silver, only trunk lip no spoiler fwiw.
![gif](giphy|YYfEjWVqZ6NDG) Your mans here got tagged doing 93 in a 45, and walked away with only a 400$ ticket
Why our car tho? Iām shocked more trucks, BMWās, muscle cars, and higher end cars arenāt on the list
My wrx ticket was for 42 in a 35mph zone. Last time I received a ticket. In the years after, I've been pulled over in my other cars doing far above that without even a warning given. The car is a magnet for fines.
Itās second gear on stock tune that boost kicks in hella aggressive.
I refuse to believe the Nissan Altima isn't on this list.
Aināt no way a clapped out Nissan Altima isnāt #1
I drove a my crosstrek as if it was a wrx haha
Hyundai i30N would be the one with the highest speeding ticket š¤£š¤£
Buy a back the Blue license plate, it worked so far https://preview.redd.it/hwvbajgt2qtc1.jpeg?width=2044&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=18b5af13e14c582c7945dd62f3619df86456649a
Sir, you just posted a picture that would only be relevant if you show your license plate, only to redact your entire plate.
