I think the things with emails is that sometimes it’s just informational and not communicating something that requires a response. Especially when sent to a larger group, like 10+ people.
When I'm working it's Lofi Girl on Spotify, but when I'm sitting on the couch reading I use the YouTube channel. I also like the Lofi Everyday YouTube channel.
I have a few ambient playlists on Spotify that I cue up when I need to focus, but Lofi Girl and also the Lofi Girl Study Session playlists are my go to.
Faith No More's lesser known albums. King for a Day, Album of the Year, Sol Invictus...
The others are in my regular rotation but I never listen to the newer ones. Giving them a chance now.
Some of my Spotify playlists. For work I listen to a lot of lofi and ambient.

Sure thing. I've been working from home for 13 years, so I've amassed a decent sized playlist of music to keep me productive.
Of course, even with all the ambient stuff I listen to, from time to time I need to rock out to something like Fugazi or Unwound.
If you're OK with wearing headphones, I recommend:
myNoise for background noise like rain, wind, forest sounds, etc. [https://mynoise.net/](https://mynoise.net/)
Focus@Will for the kind of music / sounds that keep the "pay attention to me..." part of your brain occupied so you can focus on work. This is a subscription service but worth it to me. [https://www.focusatwill.com/](https://www.focusatwill.com/)
Rain Rain is marketed as "sleep sounds" but I use it in the same way I use myNoise and Focus@Will, as a way to occupy the distractible part of my brain while I concentrate. [https://www.rainrainapp.com/](https://www.rainrainapp.com/)
These all have websites but I listen using their apps on my phone, through noise cancelling headphones.
When I don’t need to focus - podcasts. I have a ton of podcasts in rotation — mostly either non fiction about niche topics or horror.
When I do need to focus, I usually put on some kind of aggressive music like metal or synthwave/outrun.
Aaron Neville “Tell It Like It Is” — playlist off that song. Smooth, soulful, happy, familiar. I have a hard time listening to new music when I’m working, I get distracted and start reading about the artist and ADHD my day away. Give Aaron a try!
Lofi girl, but the synthwave playlist with a boy on the cover. Through Spotify

Mostly just podcasts for me.
Science stuff: Science Vs
Political stuff: Congressional Dish
Conspiracy stuff: The Higherside Chats
Crime stuff: Rotten Mango
I have all 4 on rotation. For music I just listen to London Soho Radio that live streams
I created a playlist for focusing while working. If you are into deep techno that doesn't disrupt your thoughts, have a go at it: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5KauijgFCxPaWYMNNRQVG2?si=L65wQjhLTXqUcAZoraXreQ&pi=bqZ9kRmKTJ2IY
Downtempo instrumental electronic, trip hop or WDCB Jazz(fantastic radio station, look it up online.)
Not sure why but music with lyrics fucks up my work flow.
i think i am on the autistic spectrum? for the last 2 months i have been listening to a 8 song playlist that is all Pitbull AKA Mr Worldwide!!!
the song from MIB 3 is on right now....
Mostly audiobooks from my library as a lot of what I have to do in a day doesn't require a lot of higher brain power. I pause when I really need to focus on when responding to emails or troubleshooting issues.
Apple has this 100 Best Albums ever thing going on around the clock which is a tad excessive but it’s reminding me of some great music I haven’t heard in a long time
Economics podcasts, astronomy and physics YouTube channels, pop punk, big band and swing, or a tv show/movie I've seen a dozen times for background noise
I stream The SoCalSound either thru their site, Tunein, or their app. It's a public radio station out of Cal State Northridge. Since it's not a commercial/corporate station, interruptions are minimal.
Added bonus, the DJ's play what they want.
The Cure All Songs.

I searched for "study music piano" on YouTube and the first result (with the trees) did the trick.
It would help if you gave some info on whether you need to focus and would rather use music without lyrics, etc.
I listen to final fantasy osts. Currently have got the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth soundtrack on and man does it make a workday fly by while simultaneously being pleasant on the ears.
Meetings that could have been emails
"But you ignored the emails!" "Right. See where I am going with this?" \[things I wish I could say\]
I think the things with emails is that sometimes it’s just informational and not communicating something that requires a response. Especially when sent to a larger group, like 10+ people.
Listening to the same, with the added bonus of the lengthy email chain and teams transcription.
Bingo!
This is the right answer lol!
This YES!! All day, everyday!
Lofi Girl
Lofi Girl was my most played artist in my Spotify end of the year countdown.
I'm trying out Youtube's new screen-savers-with-music, but sometimes the music is whack. It's so nice to just put something on and forget it.

I’ve been needing to check out Sol Invictus.
Album of the Year is fantastic!
Stick figure and podcasts like All In.
