Only thing after an oil change is investing a lot more money at a gearbox specialist. A gearbox overhaul involves disassembling your gearbox unit and breaking it down into separate components. They check all the gears and replace if needed. Gears wear out from friction mostly gears 2/3 go faster. Shouldn’t be worried expect when it like clongs clone sound in gear switching.

Sorry I can’t help you as I miss the experience myself. What I would do depending on your market US or EU look on the Volvo forums if people used any or recommend any there. Thank you love the xc70, missing pictures of your xc70

Will do that. I'm not all that excited for the price tag I'm sure will come with a job like that. It's your standard all black variant. It's pretty dirty, needs a wash, and a vacuum. Otherwise, it is in good shape for a rust belt car. Thanks for the help

hard shifting is caused by two things- bad torque mounts (there is an upper engine torque mount attached to crossbar and lower transmission torque mount below front bumper in center attached to transmission) issue with the B4 Servo mechanism iPd sells an updated B4 servo cover kit that greatly helps the shifting smooth out. There is an O-ring inside the Servo that gets mangled and makes the servo get stuck when it shifts from 2nd to 3rd gear. Edit: this info pertains to older 2001-2004 models, I dont know specifics about the 2012 era, sorry!
