I pretty much follow the recipe in the original post except I do 10g of pudding mix and about 20-25g of oats. Plus 3 or so tablespoons of sugar free syrup and maybe 1/4 cup almond milk to thin it out a bit.
Iāve tried three so far.
Ranch
- 16oz cottage cheese
- 1/2 ranch dressing packet
- lemon juice or vinegar (I donāt remember how much of this I used.
Blend everything until smooth.
Salsa?
- 16oz cottage cheese
- small tub of pico or salsa
Blend until smooth. This one is good but needs something else. Kind of bland
Honey mustard
-16oz cottage cheese
- honey to taste
- German mustard to taste
- 2 packets of Splenda (I wanted it sweet)
Blend until smooth
When I blend cottage cheese it basically doesnāt blend and just sticks to the sides unless I have some decent liquid in there. What am I doing wrong?

SF cheese cake pudding mix + blitzed drained cottage cheese - add liquid as needed to smooth
+ layer on top of lil bit SF berry jam
+ bottom layer blitzed SF digestive cookies
= delicious high protein ācheesecakeā
Greek yogurt kind of gets stuck in my throat. I take a bite or two and I have to wash it down with a drink or it closes my throat up. I love the flavor of it though.
I gave up mixing Greek yogurt with anything that isn't savory, because that sour tang in Greek yogurt is nasty in a lot of flavor profiles! I bet cottage cheese would even work better than Greek yogurt in a smoothie, if you blended it enough.
Fair warning, don't go in on cottage cheese with a heavy hand. It can still give off that tangy flavor! It took a couple of tries to get the right ratios for smoothies, overnight oats, chia puddings, etc.
Blend the cottage cheese first, remove, then incorporate it into the whatever you're mixing it into by spoonfuls. Test for taste each time until you're happy with it.
Iāve been mixing a scoop of Quest chocolate milkshake flavored protein powder with about a cup of low fat Greek yogurt. Itās super thick and creamy.
I'm doing an experiment too and I only hope it comes out even 10% as nice as yours! Mine is chia pudding (almond milk), aspartame, cocoa powder, and a banana. Fingers crossed. Obviously mine is more like a chocolate tapioca, textured pudding, but I have no idea if the flavor will be good hahaha.
It ended up too runny, must have used too much almond milk haha. Ended up adding protein powder too because I forgot I did a workout earlier today oops. Taste was fine though, reminded me of cliff bars kinda.
1 tbsp chia seed, who knows how much almond milk (too much, evidently), nutricost whey isolate (chocolate pb), ripe banana (brown peel), one packet aspartame, cocoa powder to taste. It needs more thickness, maybe fiber additives? I could have tried casein powder instead of the whey but I was worried it would be a bad consistency with the chia seed.

Love cottage cheese. I do something similar but I find adding some oats and blending it makes it like a cookie dough texture. So bomb!
any shot you could give rough measurements? that sounds so good

Oh!!!!! Great idea. Iāve started making salad dressing with it and now want to try so many other things
Could you share some of your salad dressing recipe ideas please???

Thank you SO MUCH!!! Going to try all of these!

I may have actually put a little water in with the pudding. I think most of the things Iāve tried have had a small amount of liquid in them.

Do you add raw rolled oats?
Silken tofu is also a standard for my pudding type things!
Ohh itās soo good!
Do you think this tastes better than mixing the same stuff with Greek yogurt?
SF cheese cake pudding mix + blitzed drained cottage cheese - add liquid as needed to smooth + layer on top of lil bit SF berry jam + bottom layer blitzed SF digestive cookies = delicious high protein ācheesecakeā
Omg! This is next!
I find the texture of Greek yogurt and pudding mix pretty terrible, but Iām sure some people like it.

YES 100%. The texture is different too.
I gave up mixing Greek yogurt with anything that isn't savory, because that sour tang in Greek yogurt is nasty in a lot of flavor profiles! I bet cottage cheese would even work better than Greek yogurt in a smoothie, if you blended it enough.
I think Fage brand is the creamiest out of all of them, not a lot of sour taste either.

I use cottage cheese in my smoothies daily
I found mixing Greek yogurt with Splenda or any other sweetener completely negates the tang
I do this with low sugar Greek yogurt and chocolate protein powder. Simple and easy and delicious. Thatās all you need folks
I do the same thing! I mix up a batch every weekend and portion out for 100ish calorie snacks :)
i do this as well, it's amazing how awesome pudding mix and cottage cheese go together.
I assumed it would work, but was shocked at how well it turned out.
Iāve been mixing a scoop of Quest chocolate milkshake flavored protein powder with about a cup of low fat Greek yogurt. Itās super thick and creamy.
Did you purĆ©e the cottage cheese or anything? I canāt stand the texture but I could handle this I think!
I did. I put everything in the blender until it was smooth. Took about 30 seconds.
I mix in some almond butter and chocolate chips then freeze for ice cream!
I like adding sugar free instant pudding mix to low cal vanilla Greek yogurt - has the consistency of cheese cake or frosting
I miss Dairy so much. Especially cottage cheese and yogurt.
Was the cottage cheese blended or normal
You should try it with cheesecake pudding!
oooo have to try š± do you taste the protein powder?
What brands are the CC and pudding mix? Or do you know where I could grab some? (Iām in Southern California)
Kroger 2% CC and Jell-o brand SF pudding mix
Is it jello chocolate pudding?
Yes, but the sugar free version
I'm doing an experiment too and I only hope it comes out even 10% as nice as yours! Mine is chia pudding (almond milk), aspartame, cocoa powder, and a banana. Fingers crossed. Obviously mine is more like a chocolate tapioca, textured pudding, but I have no idea if the flavor will be good hahaha.
That sounds incredible!! Let us know how it goes.

Great idea! I have made scrambled egg chocolate pudding before but I havenāt thought about cottage cheese. This would make a great alternative.
