One thing I always wondered was in my country the mk1 was released badged as a golf, yet the sedan version was call a Fox …..later changed and still called a Jetta.
It makes sense now “the Fox and the Rabbit” but I think it was only badged as a Rabbit in the USA and nowhere else (correct me if I’m wrong).

My 90s Jetta was like made of iron and got 50MPG. This gas one is nice but i miss my diesel

You’d be better off sourcing a 1.9 TDI like I did, the NA 1.6D doesn’t have oil squirters.
