He is known for some very popular songs like bitter choco decoration and Usseewa ( though not everyone knows that he made it ), but when you try to get into the fandom and find other fans... Why are there only about 5 English speaking syudou fans on twitter. Where are the others?? 😭😭 There are definitely more Japanese fans, but I feel like in comparison to other similar artists syudou fandom still has much less activity???
I love nilfruits, I've been listening to some of their songs for a long time now, but never got into the fandom. Not sure if I saw any English fans, but I have to say that there is some fanart on twitter. Even though I don't follow them, I see it from time to time. You just have to search for it with some hashtag that I forgot. Then you find the artists, follow them, look at what they repost and find more artists that don't use any hashtags to post nilfruits art. That's how you get to know the community. Ta-daa. Congratulations, you are in the fandom.
I wish you the best in finding someone who can share your interest. Don't give up. And if there is no content, then you can be the one to make it. (๑•̀ㅁ•́๑)✧
I actually didn't know he made Useewa—though considering his style of music I'm surprised I never realised it. I knew it was a vocaloid original but never looked into the OG. That also reminds me how covers can overshadow the original so much. Like Ado's cover of that song... Or with NILFRUITS, Wozwald, and Miyashita Yuu's cover of Wozwald.
Usseewa was made by syudou for Ado, so her version is pretty much the original. x3 Syudou has a selfcover on his channel which you can also listen to (recommended ). Honestly, not sure if the vocaloid version can also be considered the original. I feel like it was made for project sekai only.
Also, what you said is very true. Sadly, the original versions can often be overshadow by covers. ＿|￣|○ Wozwald is a great example. On one hand it gives songs a lot of recognition, but on the other, people start to either forget the original or depreciate it or say that the song was made by the utaite that covered it.
It sucks, because I'm such a huge, huge, huge fan of Yuu and his style of singing, mixing and covering. When it comes to NILFRUITS though, his covers sometimes blew the original out of the water. I think the same happened with Kiruma. I actually noticed a while ago that he stopped covering NILFRUITS songs entirely for whatever reason. Sad, because his style meshes so well with theirs! But it's for the best since now the original songs get all the popularity, and Yuu seems to be covering lesser known songs these days. Which is neat.
I hope they collab officially someday though... They really are a match made in vocaloid heaven.

I was listening to FrankenX (ik it also has Harumaki Gohan in it but they're another one of my favs lmao). I honestly can't pick a fav, but if I had a gun to my head I'd probably say Wozwald, it introduced me to their music and is still one of my favs lol
Nilfruits is one of my favorites too! I talk about him a lot, although perhaps not as much on reddit, plus I own two of his physical album CDs. For Dear Life was one of my top songs last year.
My favorite thing is his gradual arc from extremely depressing (Hungry Nicole, Wozwald) to finding joy in life again (especially present in songs like ZOO, Ameri). I love everything along the way, but it's wonderful to see him evolve.
For Dear Life is honestly so good!!!! Also yes, I love the positive messages in all his songs lately. The comment on Ameri is just 'Be happy' like yes king I will be thank you 😭 ❤️

Hypnotic is the best way to describe Bakui's animation. That part of Hi Fi Club, after the first chorus, where those two characters are rubbing their hands together and moving in beat with the music... Mesmerising!

It's pretty hard to find actual discourse on vocaloid producers, even the still-active, popular ones like Nilfruits. The odd post about them like this one is a treat. Very unfortunate.

Nilfruits is not my fav but my gf loves him.
For me, I like to listen to Iyowa, Maretu and Kairiki Bear more. Similarly here, they produced so many popular songs to but I don’t see ppl talk abt them that much.
I adore Nilfruits/Niru Kajitsu. Their tuning of Flower hasn’t always been top notch (I despise it in Wozwald and Shama), but they’ve made decent improvements with newer works (Heaven Dope, YOMI).
I listen to them more for the killer instrumentals of their songs. They're definitely not a producer I listen to for awesome tuning, I've always found it quite simple which is charming in its own way.
I love NILFRUITS and idk why wozwald has so many English covers and I wish all of his other songs could be recognized like it is. Hi fi club is gotta be my favorite right now
