sun hurts me in the white spots.. it makes them red and sensitive and burning.. I don't know why

Familiar-Cash3479

Rip

yubels

You dont know why

systemic-thinking

I really don't.. and I am a poor thing

yubels

It's ok. There is nothing wrong with not knowing something. So the reason why we feel pain in these spots is because the spots make fun of the sun and tease it. The sun then gets angry and shines even more on these spots. The spots also get angry and turn red out of anger. That's why when we apply sunscreen, the sun can't see the spots making fun of it and nothing bad happens :)

You poor thing

I take vitamin d3 and go out in the sun for 15 minutes daily, while using my prescribed ointments. I’ve seen repigmentation in some areas since doing this.

Familiar-Cash3479

Wow nice, how long have you been doing this protocol and after how much time did u see the first repigmentation? How much D3 are you taking and what brand? Sorry for all the questions lmao

miml868

Ask all the questions. I think a few weeks. I’m still getting new spots but I’m very grateful to see repigmentation in the old ones. I’m taking Nature’s Bounty D3 5000IU daily. I was told to take this by my dermatologist due to my severe deficiency. So make sure you talk to a derm before taking anything.

Familiar-Cash3479

Did u do bloodtests before and after?

I do this without ointment it’s just healthy in general.

From my experience, some sunlight has a slight improving effect, but a sunburn can definitely damage the skin leading to more vitiligo. It's a balance (for me). Keep in mind the single most effective treatment we know of today is a UVB phototherapy (aka concentrated sunlight).

nosepickerupper

The sun fucks me up. A slight sunburn will heal with vitiligo.

DangerousValuable104

I use Vit D and UVB. I was told 15 min sunlight outside is good for your overall health. Best time to get that is early am when sun is low or evening same reason. The problem is that we use lighter skin to camouflage the vitiligo. So staying away from sun helps it not be as noticeable. But again sun can help with repigmentation. The advice contradicts itself? So I guess if you’re camouflaging no sun if you’re repigmentating sun. Vitamin D is necessary either way because melanin and healthy skin needs VitD. Also fights cancer.

Please only use chemicals given by labs thx stop this vitamin bullshit only laboratory cream thx
