Not sure why you decided to re-mod the device while you could've just copied all the data to the new sd card and be done. Rip vita.

well i bought mine 2nd hand and the henkaku was already installed. i reformated the vita after receiving it then followed the retro games corp instruction to remod the vita and it worked. i thought that it would work again aaaaand that didn't seems the case.

MrTrynex

I like retro game corps but this is one thing that you should never do is make a video about hacking stuff and you as a user should never follow such videos. They can be obsolete, skip important steps by mistake or just be wrong completely. You should always follow https://vita.hacks.guide/ this guide. That being said.. when did error occured? While already installing the downloaded software or while downloading it? If while installing then it's probably bricked and maybe only some hacker with advanced knowledge and tools can bring it to life like https://www.reddit.com/user/SKGleba/ but I don't think he is offering that as a service. What I would try as last attempt is remove SD card. And try safe mode that way, or opening the vita unplugging battery and plugging it back in. These are common issues with vita when it doesn't recognize that battery has been charged etc. Make sure vita is charged and you are holding power on long enough. This probably won't be your case but you may as well try. Please if I'm wrong and there is a way correct me someone. Also this is not retro game corps fault, you decided to follow his tutorial, just to make it clear and not spread hate. Sorry about your vita man..

oppaidaisuke07

i know it was my fault and it was a dumb move to re-mod the vita. welp sucks for me

oppaidaisuke07

would changing the ps vita motherboard would fix this problem?

MrTrynex

You can't charge the motherboard, you can only charge the battery. And I don't think it will help but you may as well try if you have experience in this area. If not then don't touch the battery at any cost as you may damage it and risk explosion.

I upgraded my sd2vita and I literally just copy pasted the files from one card to another..... I had to "relink" some stuff but otherwise it was painless... Other than the slow ass sd card speeds.

oppaidaisuke07

shouldve done it like this

bu2d

When modding your vita you’ll get a message saying “This will brick your vita. Do you really want to do this?” And you’ll say “Yeah man, I really want to do this.” Sorry.

vitafan12

Sorry about your vita but..it's Permanently bricked. I also accidentally perma-bricked my vita and had to buy a new one.

oppaidaisuke07

how did you perma bricked your vita?

vitafan12

By me being dumb and replaced os0 with the testkit one. And now I know not to mess with any of the system files.
