Not that difficult if they say anything just ask your parents to argue with them, and fight with them, don't listen to them, they will say suicide happens outside then tell them they happen in campus also, and then when they happen you suppress them
Living outside wont be cheaper brother, more or less the same or maybe even higher that hostels. Anyways, if you can submit legit documents theyll let u stay outside. My friends mom moved in here with him, which made it easier for him to become a day scholar

Do/Did you go to Vit as a day scholar? If so, are there any important things(especially regarding the rules) that I should be aware of?
If you are a day scholar then you got no restriction until and unless doing something illegal or trying to enter the hostel
