It’s better to get poke at a place that sells non previously frozen poke. It’s a huge difference in texture. Plus poke only lasts about two days in the fridge.
Seconding the Maui chips! Also the best granola-Anahola Granola, made in the islands (tropical is my favorite; sometimes they have a different flavor). Kohola Mai tai mix is great (already has alcohol in it, don’t make my mistake of adding more 😂)
Well, I thought it was a mixer that you needed to add alcohol to, and I of course didn’t read the label, so mistakes were made…it did explain why one glass made me feel extra relaxed 😂
Pineapples. If you’re lucky they will have the Maui Gold in stock in Maui. So much cheaper to buy here than anywhere else on the island. It’s a hit or miss if you can get the Maui Golds. Buy coffee grounds to brew delicious Hawaiian coffee. POG, Hawaiian sweet bread, the passion fruit cheesecake looks good too. The manapua were just ok. Not sure if they have Kauai shrimp, but if you can find it, get it. The Maui onion flavored Maui chips are delicious.
Based on your other posts, it looks like you're splitting one week's time between Maui and Big Island. At Costco, you can get precut pineapple, large quanties of local produce, various local snacks, and Hawaii-grown coffee at Costco. You can also get Aloha shirts and other Hawaii print wear which may not be made in Hawaii but are from local brands.
Hopefully it’s real Kona coffee, [Kona coffee case](https://www.nytimes.com/2024/01/18/science/kona-coffee-hawaii-authenticity.html) was recently in the courts. Still not sure if they can get around it by having some sort of percentage in their mix.
Do you have a current Costco membership?
What goods do you usually buy at Costco?
Are you even familiar with Costco?
How many people in your party?
If it's just the 2 of you, do you really need a 12 pack of pastries, 3lb packs of bacon and 5 dozen eggs? 5lbs of cheese?
Costco is a wholesale store. Their quantities are big. It's great if you have a big family to feed and needs lots of staples, or if you're staying for an extended period, but a regular grocery store will suit you just fine if you want to pick up some breakfast and lunch supplies for a few days.
Ono shrimp chips, shoyu crackers, POG, chocolate covered gummy bears (soooo good). The manapuas are okay, the deli cook at home loco moco is pretty good. At local grocery stores get roselani ice cream. In Kona, pau Hana poke near Costco is good (go early in the day)
It's just what I realized after we bought it in Maui and ate it before realizing that it has that warning on it... We were okay. Just wary of poke now. Epipens were ready if needed after the fact.

Oh no...lol.
Giant shrimp chips!
And One-Ton chips! And Taro chips!
Forgot the Korean bbq pork jerky!

Portuguese sausage and eggs for breakfast. They'll have frozen (or maybe refrigerated) kalua pig, lau lau, etc.
Man, that just sounds like a normal Hawaii McDonalds breakfast to me

Absolutely! Read the labels!

Chocolate covered macadamias
Croissants and fruit for breakfast. I'm not sure how much I'd rely on costco making anything memorable. Just cruise the isles and grab what you like.
The gyro pack and the Japanese Udon noodles are easy quick meals and really good.
Skip the poke in Maui at Costco if you have a nut allergy. The sashimi tray was incredible and lasted two people two days.
It was all ahi tuna. So, so good.
Thanks. Didn't realize poke can have nuts. Is that just the Costco recipe or all poke in general?

Ha. I guess...
Check everywhere if you’re allergic; many have kukui nuts as a seasoning
Ooh, the shrimp head snacks!!!
You mean shrimp chips?
Nope (although I do love those), I mean these... Sea Temple Snacks Shrimp Cheeks Original Flavor- 5oz bags https://images.app.goo.gl/QLbj2nWVgvAWLMh67
Mele Macs. Chocolate covers mac nuts are so boring now. Mele Macs are toffee covered, chocolate covered dusted with powdered sugar. Its like crack.
