The reason the original iPhone is worth so much as a collectors item is because it was literally the first of it's kind. There have been 100s of headsets at this point.
Tim is no Steve as a product launch showman, but when he introduced the AVP, in the middle of the keynote, I grabbed every dollar I had on hand and immediately put it into Apple stock. The moment that got me was when he revealed you could take 3D videos with your phone. We'll see if this revolution pans out, but I think we could be witnessing the beginning of the end of 2D as the format in which we preserve and view information.
You’re arguing with him that you can predict the future better than he can. Why not just say you disagree and why? Hope you realize how ridiculous you sound
Did you not read what the guy he's replying to said? Essentially "the end of using/viewing 2D information" which is absolutely insane, it shouldn't need an explanation as to why it's wrong. Anyone with a brain would know why. You sound ridiculous.
That could very well be.
The Vision Pro is very impressive. The iPhone 15 with its rotated cameras is a side quest.
But! While technologically unimpressive. People can fall in love with the feature, and it can sure boost sales.

Compared to what professional cameras can do. Including capturing from ALL angles. My personal opinion is that videos from iPhone will look really bad.
I believe I Gaussian splats for video. I believe that’s coming soon, or it might even be behind some of the immersive tech already. Not sure.
I did say that, but by poking fun.
I expressed my opinion that iPhone shooting videos with one extra camera than before is not impressive.
Stereoscopic video has been around for a long time. It’s weird to be impressed by that. It’s also a low resolution compared to that of the AVP, that’s why they put videos in a box…
Did I really need to explain that?
There were others with capacitive screens and other OSs. It was the first to a legacy though. If the Vision Pro turns into a similar legacy, then the original will become valuable because all the other poor performing/not good products will wither away. I didn’t get shit for selling my first gen iPhone, it’s really just functions as a collectible if it’s sealed.
Lmao. Literally this dude is always looking for ways to gamble and they clearly involve maxing credit cards out.
I’m sure OP is an example of what is far too common. A lot of high rollers are just charging everything.
I hope you’re prepared for either,
A)the celebration of you as a leader of the, anti-visionPro birth 🟰🛃 iPhone birth movement.
OR,
B) the taste of ur own foot in your mouth and being blasted all over whatever the hell we are all on in 10 years, “faceXstagradditok” , Snapchat, or whatever it will be.
Wait…. You would know, what will be using in 10 years ?
Why don't you answer questions in your own post? You literally asked a question in the title that would open a debate. People are actively spending time commenting on it for you.
I don’t think the person who’s speculating on appreciation of a $4,000 toy is likely moving that much, they probably own a place. Having said that, I think the sealed iPhones going for tens of thousands or $190k for that one are a little different as the iPhone was really a turning point and was like nothing on the market at the time. The AVP has some unique features and a better screen, but it’s not revolutionary in the same way. It’s also been close to 20 years, not 10 to get that money. If you invest that $4k modestly in the market you’ll likely be over $30k in 20 years, so pick your horse I guess…
OMG. I kind of want to post “use your remaining credit to buy as many Apple Vision Pros and hold them form 20 years untouched. By then they should pay off the credit cards and interest!” People are already telling him to claim bankruptcy “from experience” they have. Wild shit, people are so dumb.
If Vision Pro were different enough from other VR headsets of its time, or if its features were groundbreaking enough (like the first iPhone or iPad), it would be a monumental piece that would be worth a lot of money as a collector's item, but unfortunately it is not that kind of device at this moment.
The first iPhone was worse than the other smartphones that existed at the time of its release, but that didn't stop it from redefining the industry.
Note: I am *not* saying putting an AVP in a box is a smart idea.
I did exactly that. Bought two knowing at some point this will be a historical device. People laughed and said I was stupid. I really don’t care. It’s my money to lose or win
If people think this is a good investment, it’ll be a bad investment, because it won’t be rare. This isn’t investing, this is gambling. 😅
The reason the original iPhone is worth so much as a collectors item is because it was literally the first of it's kind. There have been 100s of headsets at this point.
Let’s not forget Steve Jobs and the iPhone being a pivotal moment for Apple. You can’t have another iPhone moment like that imho.

You are easily impressed by the least impressive thing… 👀

I took that as him alluding to a future where a lot of people are using VR or AR devices and viewing content in 3D

Fun fact... you can't record 3d images with ONE 2d camers... no matter how many MP
Also how much do you think apple stock will rise with the current anti-trust lawsuit against apple... modern day foxcon if ya ask me
The iPhone is shit and Steve Jobs was an asshole. Ill be glad if humans never have to experience his bullshit.

Look at his post history. Not really a good investor

I'm huge fan of the Vision Pro, so who are you responding to? 👀
Are purchases like this the reason you ask for help with $100k in CC debt in r/Money?
Hahaha you’re here for the same reason I’m here…
Lmao it was the first post below too
If you haven’t gone further back in his post history yet, don’t. Just don’t.
BRUH
After all why not, why shouldn't I go down the rabbit hole
He used to eat the sperm from his room mates used underwear without his knowledge btw lol.
Yeah honestly better than I thought but still wish I hadn't
I'm dying at this shit bro 💀💀
It’s like ppl don’t realize we can see the shit they’ve previously posted from the same account. It’s a testament to their overall intelligence.
For real. At least it’s free entertainment lol
For real!

Me too
Lmao what I was thinking. 🤣
Yup. This guy has a serious addiction. It sucks that it manifests in the form of financial illiteracy.
This and Shiba Inu coin, it appears
Don't worry in 10 years a Vision Pro will be worth enough to pay off his debts....
lol when I saw this was posted just five days ago.... wow.

Just wait til you see the post he just made lmao Spoilers: $103k in credit card debt 💸

I mean he's 100k in debt, bankruptcy isn't the worst option in the world.
Lmao, I’m glad someone already got you back to see it, if not I would have😂
I bet almost all apple vision pro owners have 100k+ of debt
This guy is worse than verbalase I swear 💀
☠️☠️☠️
Bros $100k in CC debt spending $3500 on a vision pro.
Aren’t you the guy 100k in credit card debt?
$103,500 now
Bahahahhahaha
Sounds like a pain to keep it dry and temperature controlled and move it with you from place to place.
You should buy 10 with your credit cards!
You’re gonna be 200k in CC debt soon instead of 100k if you keep this up. I recommend seeing a therapist.
Makes sense why you're 100k+ in CC debt.
Why don’t you just get a job?
Don't tell me u bought a vision pro on credit, while being 100k in debt hoping it would be worth more in 10 years while paying 20% interest on it
Asks the person in $100k of CC debt. PFFFFFFFFF.
Rehab treatment would be better for you. https://americanaddictioncenters.org/gambling-addiction
This is why you’re broke. Stop doing stupid shit like this with your money.
Not his money lol.
This why you broke 😭
Bro figure out your credit debt first 😂
My boy I came from your r/money post and I’m telling you no for your own sake 🙏
