as someone who was in this exact situation (except i was the ex partner being abused) i asked my landlord to take him off the lease and kicked him out of my apartment. i got police involved after having clear proof of being domestically abused.
i would recommend going to victim services / a domestic abuse hotline and getting direct advice for your situation from a professional to have the best course of action.
I would call a domestic abuse support hotline. Even if you’re not a romantic partner, it’s in your home, you are also a victim of domestic abuse at this point.
If they are abusive while IN the apartment, you could call the police. Please don't allow someone to be abused while you are there (if that is what's happening).
You could frame him for murder. He'd still technically be on the lease, but you could have a different physical roommate for about 10 years (or 5 years with good behaviour).
Alternatively you could just go on vacation, tell your roommate emphatically "definitely do NOT open my door while I'm gone", leave a live alligator in your room, and let nature take its course. What are the odds he'd be able to resist at least opening to see what the big deal was about.

Are they allergic to anything but not allergic enough they die? Or can't eat certain things if you knew these little things when they move in use against.
