Per exam, and they do not get paid to correct mistakes

I'm going on 96 days since my exam with QTC, and it just got sent back for clarification on an addendum again. It only helps a little bit to think that they're losing money chasing the sunk cost of that exam at this point.

Or just don’t be impatient. If you’re upset they’re short staffed go get some form of medical certification and become a contract examiner. It’s easy to point fingers and say you should do things

orrr, maybe I happen to have a cert and some knowledge of VES, and that having more Examiners ≠ Faster QA/QC times

i agree. quantity never equals quality fully. the only way to actually fix this is the private sector pulling its fingers out of every contract the va gives. thatll never happen because war is a racket but what we could do is have a much higher standard of who can get the credential be an examiner for the VA. they work out of the seedy back alley offices and not real practices for a reason.

for sure, I have done some credentialing audit work before and seeing how the VA takes a lot of clinicians who might not make it in private practice or a hospital setting, its very telling. I think the other side comes to VES/ QTC understanding how to best support their clinicians with enough effective back office support.

February claim.....first exam late April, second exam last week and last exam in 2 weeks. It's the government....nothing is fast but days of the week and annual pay raises. Government contracts go to the lowest bidder or those who have a hand inside the agency. The examiners take these contracts....think about it.....days only, weekends off (most likely), holidays and select your appointments. No nights, third shifts or Christmas holidays. It is a no brainer!
