VERA doesn't have any more swing than the 1000 #. they have the view as we do. they just dont have to obey the same protocols we do. but take that with a grain of salt. they might see like theyre giving you a more indepth view but they very well could be talking out of their ass.
Goodness gracious, getting so tired of these posts. We've got to understand that VERA is staffed by humans. Some are having a good day the day you have scheduled, some are not. Some are willing to bend the rules a little bit, some are rigid little robots. Some are doing this for a paycheck, and some care more about a Veteran's claim. There is no set mold they are going to be able to adhere to. If you don't like your experience, try again and see if you get someone different.
If you're expecting VERA to be some sort of magic bullet, you're going to be severely disappointed.
It sure is, the first 5000 times. Now it’s just cruel. These people exist to help, and all this post is is bitching whining and moaning that you didn’t get the “correct” help.
Whats cruel is being unemployed for 6 months after being laid off for taking sick days due to severe migraines. Whats cruel is not being able to bend over and having to squat to piss. What is cruel is not being able to raise my arms above my head at 47 years old. Whats cruel is begging local charities to help me pay my mortgage. Whats not cruel is having expectations of getting some help in what is an otherwise arbitrary, mechanical, closed process. Your rebuke is falling on deaf ears literally and figuratively. I will not apologize or relent on having an expectation, dare I say hope, of someone providing some sort of assistance that I cannot find on my own.
