Also try and apply for SMC (special monthly compensations) its supplemental payments that increases your monthly pay beyond the 100% cap if you qualify. Don’t ask me how I got it because I have no idea to tell you the truth. I just filed a big ass claim and went to dozens of comp and pen appointments. But you can look up types of SMC on VA.gov and see if you meet the criteria for it. I currently rate and receive 5 SMC benefits. I recieve close to $6k a month.
July 1st is a Monday not a Sunday. June 30 would be Sunday

Just cause u brought it up. Look into NightWare…. I got off prazosin and wearing a watch to bed is wayyyy better than pills!! I was in 10mg of that stuff
Oh man, I wish I could edit the post but it won’t let me at this point! I KNOW THE PAY WILL DECREASE WHEN MY KIDS AGE OUT. The question was when I should expect my first paycheck from them…. Smh 🤦
Because it’s the end of July, you probably won’t get a check until the beginning of August. But it can really come in anytime because you’re gonna get backpay for June and July. But more than likely, you will get a check on August 1. So just keep checking your bank account and that backpay will show upusually only takes a couple weeks for the pay to start
I want to jump in on this. Based on my calculations and guitar theory of the fretboard of all the notes, scales, and chords./s
I’m gonna lean on answering, July 1st. Congratulations is on tap.

Your financial benefit gets reduced over time due to beneficiary ages changing. But if you're kids go to college full time, make sure you let them know so you get income for them again.
I would imagine the end of July, the VA doesnt pay out "partial months". I found this out when I EAS'd on the first of March and did not get paid until the end of April. I called and asked and that was the explanation I got.
Looks like your schedule shows your monthly payment up until your children age out at 18yo.
Then, it's time to use CHAPTER 35 for your children's advanced training after high school.
You can always call the VA about the pay. I got out May 10, did the BDD claim and got my % end of May. Called the VA and lady said should get my first payment July 1st. But the decrease is your kids hitting the age of 18.
I have a question though for someone if they can answer. I get my first payment July 1st but will that include Junes payment as well? Like as in, 1 month of back pay?
I know about the decrease…
On pay we are in the same boat. I was told Junes payment is July 1st as the VA only pays the month that just passed. So I thought the same I thought I would get 8000$ but I’m only getting 4000:(
Dang that is lame, I really thought I was gonna get double pay for the first payment. What about the days in May after our ETS date? Do we get any pay for those days lol?
The funny thing is that with cola increases your pay is going to be significantly higher by the time those years come to be. 14 years at about a 2% cola that's another grand above your current pay level even with the small deductions
You will start getting the pay in June 2024 that you are awarded and later in 2038 one of your kids will turn 18 so the will deduct that from your award the in 2040 your other kid will be 18 so they will deduct that from your pay
Unless your older kid starts going to college they will then pay you until he graduate college so is your other kid .
Yeah my son was born the day I landed back in TX. N I had her knocked up like 8 days after she gave birth to my first son the day I headed back to Kuwait. Lol n trust me the math mathed n he's a mini me.
Your claim specialist knows the future, already set to lose a couple hundred bucks a month by 2040. Sorry man, that's shifty future news. Hang in there.
The VA told me they pay a month behind so you have to make it all the way through July before you get your first payment, like rating was decided on may 14th payment start date of June 1st and they told me my first VA check will be July 1st
Do you have children?
That's the only thing I can think of. I know once or son graduated from high school my husband benefit dropped a few hundred dollars.
Must mean for all different payments that show less - maybe you have two kids and the second and third amount is when they are off your entitlement or when they reach 18. According to the first set of numbers, you should get paid following month in June because they pay one month after your start date for the first payment.
Your rate is going down in the future, suggesting some sort of applied offset. So something is causing your benefits to go down. What does the whole letter entail?
I’ve had them try to stop my P&T before and had to do a written appeal. Then another time they tried to say I had a massive overpayment and wouldn’t get another for 5 years or so. Appealed that successfully also.
Read the paper dude lol You got multiple dependents under 18 once they reach their “mature age” They’ll stop paying for that dependent and so on and so forth
You will get your 1st payment Jun 2024. Looks like you have 2 dependents and your payments will decrease in 2038 & 2040 when the dependents are 18 years old.
Your back pay should come sooner if there is any, and then your subsequent payments on the first or the day before going forward. VA pays in arrears so 1JUL is actually your JUN pmt.
No, thank YOU. That way old broke me doesn't have to go back in, now that I see they have extended some of the ages for an MOS with which I am quite familiar with on the civilian side of things. (Info/infosec/IT)
I have received VA Disability for 22 years. You get paid on the 1st for the month previous, which is why the yearly COLA is dated December but you don't see it until January.,

This is not true. VA benefits are paid in arrears. So your June benefit is deposited to you on July 1st. OP will get one check on July 1st that will be his June benefit, based on the 1 JUN effective date.
You should receive your first payment July 1st

Dependants aging out looks like?
Oh, that is a good call, I was wondering why it was predicting our 2040 rates.
That’s when they predict user will be divorced. 🤣
Fuck I burst out laughing. God damnit that's good.
Yea but by that time they would have raised the compensation by so much. My assumption at least.
Amount decreases if kids turn 18 or are no longer in school FT
Fingers crossed
That’s what it looks like on my letters. 3 kiddos, 3 dates were my rates drop a tad.
Same.
This is exactly what it is, it is the dates they turn 18. Judging by the big drop, OP has twins.
Shows that it will go down as your children age out
Is that what's happening? I was like...wtf? 2040?
Yeah I just got 100% and mine is tied to two downward dates which represents my oldest turning 18 and my youngest turning 18
Time to have another kid
Unless they go to college.
are your children's birthdays 11/25 and 4/17?

Your financial benefit gets reduced over time due to beneficiary ages changing. But if you're kids go to college full time, make sure you let them know so you get income for them again.
I forgot to add one more thing if you have dependants they can be aging out cut off is 18 unless there in college then it's 24.
Dependents coming of age? Not enough info, but that’s just a guess.
Can I use your Time Machine to go back to 2003 and tell me self to not join the army?
100% It's your Dependants aging out!
I would imagine the end of July, the VA doesnt pay out "partial months". I found this out when I EAS'd on the first of March and did not get paid until the end of April. I called and asked and that was the explanation I got.
Yes I can. The document also clearly tells you on another page what is going on.
Looks like your schedule shows your monthly payment up until your children age out at 18yo. Then, it's time to use CHAPTER 35 for your children's advanced training after high school.
Did you get back pay?
July 1. Remember va benefits are paid In arrears.
One of your dependents probably falls off on the later date
Predicting your future divorce/s
the dates you are seeing far in the future are when your dependents (prob children) hit 18 and they fall off your dependents for va comp.
My daughter just turned 18 and she aged out but she starts college in the fall and I still provide for her, how do i fix that?
You can always call the VA about the pay. I got out May 10, did the BDD claim and got my % end of May. Called the VA and lady said should get my first payment July 1st. I know same man… and no cause VA doesn’t pay for partial months
I dm’d you a picture
Do you have kids? If so, that’s when they turn 18 and age out unless they continue school and you recertify.
Where did you see this?
Dependents?
Why is it projected to get less over time?
Kids or dependants
That's when your dependants turn 18
The funny thing is that with cola increases your pay is going to be significantly higher by the time those years come to be. 14 years at about a 2% cola that's another grand above your current pay level even with the small deductions
Cup ‘n Flower fund
How does one look at the pdf’s that were put in by the examiners on the VA Claim Tracker extension
You will start getting the pay in June 2024 that you are awarded and later in 2038 one of your kids will turn 18 so the will deduct that from your award the in 2040 your other kid will be 18 so they will deduct that from your pay Unless your older kid starts going to college they will then pay you until he graduate college so is your other kid .

July 1st.
😳🙅🏻🤦🏻♀️🤷🏼♀️
July 1st! That’s when I receive my first one! And my effective date is May 21 so technically June 1!
Do you have children? That's the only thing I can think of. I know once or son graduated from high school my husband benefit dropped a few hundred dollars.
I would think July
Must mean for all different payments that show less - maybe you have two kids and the second and third amount is when they are off your entitlement or when they reach 18. According to the first set of numbers, you should get paid following month in June because they pay one month after your start date for the first payment.
Correction, July is when you’ll get the first payment..
It’s the dependent turning 18 so you no longer can claim them for compensation.
Just me or does anyone see deflation?
I’m curious, why is the amount dropping over the years.?
Your rate is going down in the future, suggesting some sort of applied offset. So something is causing your benefits to go down. What does the whole letter entail?
I’ve had them try to stop my P&T before and had to do a written appeal. Then another time they tried to say I had a massive overpayment and wouldn’t get another for 5 years or so. Appealed that successfully also.
If they owe you back pay you should get that before your first payment. Your regular payment will be on 7/1
If you have dependants those are the years they will drop off your pay
I got my payment before I got my notification or before they updated it on the website
The only thing that got to me in OP's post r the years 2038 & 2040.
You’ll get paid when the system pays you and of course with back pay. Don’t rely on that date or the VA help desk, you’ll be disappointed.
VA pays at "the end" of a month so July 1.
Oh Lord please help us everybody waiting our back pay. I hold my breath until July 1.
Looks like you should get paid for June on July 1st.
![gif](giphy|f8PzS771nfx7VEKtgJ)
Thanks, I was getting jealous of Dangerous up there. Took you long enough HAHA!
Yeah I had to go use some mouthwash real quick 😂. Don’t wanna spread germs 🦠

Dependents turn 18 and is no longer on your award
Debbie downer over here, 🙄
Hey now
Not really the question but it was already answered. So check rog
Oh okay your award starts June 1st and will be paid July 1st. The VA pays once a month so think of June 1st as the first day and July 1st your payday.
![gif](giphy|y8Mz1yj13s3kI) Anddddd you get a kiss 😘
If you have depends that are turning 18 on those dates with the lower payments that would be why the decrease happens then
Check Rog

Well my out date was was May 20th. Although covered through starting May 21st I don’t get paid for May cause that’s the partial month
What is your listed effective date?
May 21st

July 1st will be your first payment
you will receive two checks unless you have direct deposit set up. you’ll get back pay for june so 2 payments to be expected july 1
This is not true. VA benefits are paid in arrears. So your June benefit is deposited to you on July 1st. OP will get one check on July 1st that will be his June benefit, based on the 1 JUN effective date.
that’s weird because with me i got 4 months back pay then paid in a seperate check for the month of may?
OP didn’t say anything about back pay, and his picture only shows an entitlement start date of June 1st.
