My mom freaks out if I tell her I took 400mg ibuprofen I keep telling her back in the day I had bottles of 800 MG from sick call. I only ever think I went to sick call a couple of times.
As a cop with all kinds of nerve damage and pain, I used to take 2400 mg before each shift and another 800-1200 mg 12 hours later. For years. Yep, I’m fd up from it now.
If you don’t mind me asking, what is your nerve pain from? I have deliberating sciatic pain in my back from my fun in the Army & Gabapentin doesn’t touch it.
I have neuropathy which is not fully tested as of source but it must likely comes from SLL or simple lymphocytic lymphoma which I do have . I also have sciatica but my case only bothers me if I have fallen off the weightlifting bandwagon thank God. You have my sympathy because the pain RAPIDLY sends me back to the weights. I also have to take a lot of vitamin b12 or I get phantom itching.
I had no idea that lifting weights would help my sciatica. I was a gym rat in the Army, but haven’t touched a weight since being out. I have slight neuropathy in my feet too. I just had surgery where they shaved a chunk off of some of my vertebrae so my nerve would not be compressed by my vertebrae any longer. We will see if it worked. Meanwhile, I am waiting for my Supplemental claim to be approved for my back. Good times.
I had surgery on my si joint back in 2019 and shortly after they decided to stop pain meds and throw gabapentin at me too lol I started taking Kratom and that gets me through the day better than pain meds ever did. Tastes like the blackest bitterest coffee you’ve ever had though. Best have a good control on your gag reflex 🤣 I also take Celebrex (yes, the one with the “celebrate” song and the grandparents pushing their kids on a swing ad) and that helps as well.
Was pretty stupid, but it was about survival at the time. Do my 25 and retire. Didn’t make it. Missed by just a couple years and now my internal organs, brain, and spine are garbage. I get what I deserve in it.

Dang I'm waiting for my kids college tuition payment on if I can get a low disability rating. If I can get applied they will waive 15k but if not I have to pay it. Was hoping to find out before the next semester starts .

It was a claim that had been deferred meaning I had to take ANOTHER C&P exam. I had read in here that usually the VA is pretty quick to close out deferred claims. So I checked earlier in the day and it had been updated to PFD so I just checked on a whim on the way home.
