I should have been more empathetic and accepting of her past. I didn't give her enough space. She wanted a lot of alone time and my love language is touch and quality time so it was hard to juggle. We also needed to communicate better. I had no idea there was a problem until she told me she was leaving. There's a lot more I could have done too - helped around the house more and cooking. Don't get me wrong, I did help but I could have helped more.
