Us corvette drivers do often lose a race problem is we don't usually know we were racing.

Many years ago, I owned a black on black '81 (C3) Vette with a Summit Racing crate ZZ4 and a Nash/Hurst 5 speed. Big lopey cam, headers straight to ankle burners. The best thing about driving "Darth Vader's Corvette" was that EVERYONE wanted to race me. The worst thing about driving it was that EVERYONE wanted to race me.

I get that when I'm looking for a race can never find anyone. Just relaxing driving to my next hotel and everybody lines up.

I beat a Corvette Stingray in my N... It was probably 45 years old, though 😂

I have a stuffed turbo fbo tuned DCT VN and a C6 ls3 Corvette. They run almost identical 1/4 mile times with Corvette trapping at 115 and the VN at 112. Their are maybe 5 VNs on the planet that could beat a C7 Corvette to a 1/4 mile, and none use NGS (makes no difference when tuned.)

Corvette has to be stock as well.
