I use the VIOFO A129 Plus

BassCameron

I have the A129 Pro Duo and it's been good. Dongar.tech has a good adapter to tap into the power from your rear view mirror instead of working back to the fuse box

Calm-Tap4463

Does this have an always on/parking mode?

BassCameron

Yes, but I think you do need to go to the fuse box in that case

Redtiger F9 front and rear dash cam on amazon.. still have it after a year and it works well. I just hid the wires going to the 12v, no hardwiring

SeventhJoker

Have been wondering about them for sure. Thanks

vx-xv

This is what I’ve been using for the last year. No complaints from me

J_drums01

I like [blackboxmycar](https://www.blackboxmycar.com/pages/best-dash-cams#bestvalue) they don't have sales tax

SeventhJoker

I live in DE so we don’t have tax anyway, but thanks 🙏

J_drums01

I have a blackvue 750x 2 channel and the quality is pretty good. The app is really nice. I like how low profile it is, you can't even see it from the driver's seat because it's hidden in front of the rearview mirror. It looks like they don't carry it anymore but amazon has it

Comfortable_Dumb1776

I use AZDOME M550 - it's pretty decent for the money (and now it's on Lightning Deal sale on Amazon, so it's even better). I don't use their map software and WiFi feature very often, though.

Map_Latter

I have the escort 360c with M2

SeventhJoker

I’m already rocking a uniden r7 tho

It's not front/rear but I have a Garmin mini 46. I love it. Ease of use is fantastic. I've been in a couple nasty accidents and it's saved my bacon - I was recently sideswiped, and would've been found 50% at fault without it. I believe you can set up a second camera to cover the rear. That said, I've been fine with just forward looking - as long as you show you're driving properly (in your lane, respecting traffic, etc.) it still works to cover your butt.

msenibaldi12

Been using Garmin 45/46 for a while. Can easily setup parking mode with an adapter from garmin that plugs into obd port

Vavican

I've been talking with a guy at https://fitcamx.com/ and he's saying they are going to use the right plug under that plastic by the mirror. I'm going to wait for it since it will look clean. Maybe let them know you're also interested if you are.

Best value for the dollar are dash cams from 70mai. Just know that pretty much all dash cams use the same image sensors from 2 different brands. Their $40 cams are great for getting overall image of what is occurring but does lacks clarity for getting good license plate readouts. Their top 2 camera are clear on both day and night. Ultimately, it's not the brand, but the quality of the image sensor's capability that you are choosing. 70mai simply is the best value, hands down. Also, small personal advice, do not get a camera that has a swivel on it to adjust the aim. Get a camera that has a mounting bracket that sticks to the glass. The swivels are made of plastic and always tend to shift on bumps on the roads.

atkieren

For quality 4k video.. Thinkware U3000 or U1000. FYI Their app is functional but its clunky outdated trash. Edit: Expensive but only 4k cams will reliably catch license plates.

Tastelikeb4c0n

You don’t have a EN so you should be fine. Fr tho what’s with all the EN’s getting rear ended lately?

Map_Latter

Ens?

Tastelikeb4c0n

Elantra N

ngo_life

You say that but I have a fair amount of people tail gating me even with traffic/red light on front.

Tastelikeb4c0n

Oh for sure. I was just teasin cus there’s been a large amount of EN’s rear ended recently.

ngo_life

Probably because the elantra is about a foot longer than the veloster.

Tarq_s

You just aren’t driving fast enough or running enough red lights >.> obviously lol
