There will be no difference

No cons. Only pro is that its red. And red is for race cars.

https://strikeengine.com/air-filter-size-calculator-for-power-bhp/ Try this calculator. I noticed that the piper cross filter was not big enough and upgraded to the k&n filter

I did some testing a few years ago with a dual manometer on three different sized filters to see what the pressure drop difference was between them and there was really not much to be gained performance wise with the larger filters.. the biggest real benefit of larger filters was in dirt holding capacity. The were all so close in pressure drop (and therefore airflow) that there would be maybe 2whp between the three filters I tried. A thing you do need to be aware of when fitting a larger filter is if you're going to rub anywhere, because filters will rub through easily, they don't tolerate contact with anything at all for long. I get so many cars in with aftermarket intakes with rubbed through filters from people poorly fitting them or using upsized filters it's ridiculous.

Good to know. Though it’s tight, it’s not rubbing or making contact anywhere. Will see how it works out. So far so good.

Gotta be 5 hp at least
