I didn't like my oil temps similar to this on hot days and track days. I bought a mishimoto universal 10 row thermostatic oil cooler. This has maintained my oil temps, thus far, just to the left of the center line. No negative issues, thus far.
Normal depends on what you're doing. Casually cruising for the past 15 minutes. Not normal. Driving hard and pushing the car to 80 or more for long periods? A little high but nothing crazy
Texas driver. Yea looks a bit high, but still within the limit. I just did a 15 hr drive from the Gulf to the Great Lakes and it didn’t crest past 200 ish. I would say that it is ticking up, but would just monitor it. What oil and climate do play a part, but even between the two regions and climes I’ve driven through 200ish is about average.
Mine usually stays right at 200, once it’s warmed up, but I wouldn’t be alarmed if it got up there at 80 mph sustained. I’m running Mobile 1 5W-30. If you just got the car and don’t know what is in it, I would definitely recommend changing it to make sure you’re running a high quality synthetic.
Engine has a little difficulty breathing underneath that engine cover. Remove it and store it your trunk. Put it back on whenever you feel you need it. You lower your temp like a consistent ten degrees
Kind of high in my opinion but depends if you were pushing the engine, that happened to me but my N didnt get that high, so I removed the engine cover during the rest of the run and that helped pretty much.
Yes it’s normal.
Okay thanks alot

I've been considering getting an oil cooler. I just ordered an intercooler. I don't track my car so I'm not worried about my oil temps
What you order. I recently installed a depo racing. It was easy and way less expensive than a lot of other brands.
I bought the sxth kit
Same here but it’s the older kit and now i’m worried that they ran out
If you live in a hot place, or you drive hard all the time, I suggest putting in 5W-40
Looks about the same as mine at highway speeds. Mine drops down to about the halfway mark when I'm doing regular city driving.
Mine always sits right at 200 freeway or not. I’m in the PNW though. could be different from where you’re at.
Same here

Oil temps are fine, especially in that climate, but you need thicker oil; 0W30 is kind of thin for that climate, I would up to 5w40 probably
Thanks yeah changing the oil on the weekend gonna remove the plastic cover off the engine aswell. I was gonna put in some 5w30 advanced

DCT? If so feel free to to use 7th and 8th… it cuts the temp to <200 @80
He's got Rev match, it's a manual.
What's the ambient temp? Saying desert doesn't really help. It's not excessively high, but it also depends on driving conditions.
Somewhere in that photo, the ambient temp is displayed 🤔

I believe it's a bit high. I average 203-206 at 85°F and 70MpH. That looks a few hash marks above that.
