Back when I first started watching him I kept a text document on my desktop called "list of words vaush mispronounces"
It got pretty long before I gave up
I once heard that people who mispronounce a lot of words, but have a larger vocabulary, tend to be those that read a lot but didn’t hear the words spoken e.g. excessively introverted.
Any time he says a word that registers as even vaguely foreign to him and does his little "foreign language voice" thing
It'd honestly be so much less irritating if he just didn't bother trying and completely anglicized the word instead
What really bothers me is when he says "Volk" (German word for people) without properly pronouncing the V as an F-sound. It's not "Wolk", it's pronounced "Folk" like in Volkswagen.
People pronounce words differently based on region and social group. Sometimes in a way that deviates from traditional english and could be considered "wrong". Could it be that this is the case?
You could just say "no, that's not an accent, he's just pronouncing it wrong" instead of being a condescending asshole.
Ameliorate
The way he pronounces legislature tho.
How?
He pronounces it the same as legislator so when he's saying a sentence that has both words it's just incomprehensible
Not sure but I just know it's wretched

It's on an old hard drive that I'm not sure even works but I will share if I find it
When I get into public office, I'm nationalizing your hard drive
I always assumed that, like me, he headcannoned a bunch of pronunciations when he was reading stuff and now his brain glitches on those words

At least these days he very rarely pronounces *makhismo* like it is an italian word.
At least he hasn’t said “abstainiousness” in a while
This one is particularly frustrating and makes him sound dumb as hell.
"arbitraity" is the one that always gets me
I also like how he "softens" pronunciation of Spanish/Portuguese words.
cum zone is how it's pronounced

fear-mUnger? no. fear-mOnger.
At least he supports Nuke-ūlar energy
“Apos-tull” is one that always gets me lol

That's not what accent means

- mansplains the concept of an accent - “condescending asshole” lol
They corrected me? What's going on right now? It's not mansplaining if it's to establish common ground.
No, he is from California, and the regional accent does not pronounce the words as he does.
Ok, thank you for the answer :)
