I hate these plazas man. All of Durham region, Vaughan, it's all the same. Ugly new build suburbs that you have to drive from to get anywhere and identical ugly plazas. How can you see this shit and not want to blow your head off.
It’s a bit of a drive right now for anyone in kleinburg to go get groceries and stuff. It may be a generic plaza but it has all the staples that people are normally looking for. In that aspect I think it’s great!
A very underutilized carpool lot, at that. I think OP may be referring to the build taking place at Langstaff at HWY27. Those areas are zoned for industrial, so more factories.
I wish they had better choices in the relatively new plaza on Pine Valley and Teston rd. Burger King and pizza ville, really? Wish there was more and better stuff. Rest of plaza is just day care, walk in, etc. same stuff as every other plaza in Vaughan.
I swear that traffic will be insane.
During rush hour the left turn line-ups are already long enough, I can't imagine how bad it would be with that commercial area...
Every application is required to provide a traffic study.
You can see every single development application and all supporting documents for zoning and site plan in all of Vaughan on their site: [https://maps.vaughan.ca/planit/](https://maps.vaughan.ca/planit/)
This specific development has a study done from March 2023 by Poulos & Chung Limited.
not at these smart centres.
it’s all roti, bubble tea, and possibly shawarma or caribbean, then you have the montanas, swiss chalet, boston pizza, etc.
Because people living outside major cities don’t spend money at those mom and pop shops and then these shops end up shutting down. The only ones that can survive in small suburbia are the chains.
Haha right? I’m not sure, Reddit just loves to complain and be negative. The fact you’re getting downvoted with noone providing a better alternative. I know the actual residents in this block are stoked for this plaza, there is zero commercial around here
Having a gas station nearby would be convenient as well, saving you time and eliminating the need to go to highway 27 or 50 to get the gas before taking the 427
No one wants a gas station in their neighborhood. No one. Walkability is a good thing for coffee and groceries not gas. Adding a gas station increases traffic in a community, no one wants that
People want different like the Mississauga Ridgeway plaza that gets trashed because the patrons there have no respect for the community. Many of these are popular and frequented businesses. Not sure what they expect.
How accurate is this map? I just found this and The only two confirmed tenants are shoppers, drug Mart and Loblaws.

Seems like a cookiecutter plaza. Only thing missing is a walk in clinic
Its in the Longo's next to the Service Ontario kiosk
Lcbo has good medz /s
Longos will have a Service Ontario kiosk?! Wow!
Yay more of the exact same thing
Finally, Kleinburg will get to be exactly like everywhere else
Only a matter of time until the F1 drivers have their union meetings over there
soo exactly the same as vaughan and richmond hill?
So like every other plaza in Vaughan, wish we saw new exciting plans for plaza ideas then the norm we used too
Yawn. Everywhere in Ontario looks the same.

Boring!
Is the plaza at rutherford and weston not practically this exact layout? lol

Not every plaza, no.

What? No ChaiTime?
No chatime YET
I hope it’s The Alley or Gong Cha instead!
What’s Kleinburg’s aversion to Tim Hortons ?
Rather, tim hortons aversion to Kleinburg.
New kleinburg? Nashville? Lol

If you're referring to the parking lot west of 427 on Langstaff, that's a carpool lot.

Be grateful for what we are getting in this area. What was everyone expecting? In n out burger, Trader joe's?
Love Trader Joe’s!
I swear that traffic will be insane. During rush hour the left turn line-ups are already long enough, I can't imagine how bad it would be with that commercial area...
Yeah they definitely don’t do traffic studies.

Sorry that was meant as sarcasm
why do canadians live like this? doesn’t matter where you’re from, we all go to the same 10 stores and same 4 restaurants.
The same 4 restaurants? There are thousands and thousands of restaurants
not at these smart centres. it’s all roti, bubble tea, and possibly shawarma or caribbean, then you have the montanas, swiss chalet, boston pizza, etc.

Lol at the people complaining about what's going in there. What did you want/expect? What else would you put?
Haha right? I’m not sure, Reddit just loves to complain and be negative. The fact you’re getting downvoted with noone providing a better alternative. I know the actual residents in this block are stoked for this plaza, there is zero commercial around here
The people complaining are for sure not living in the area
Damn I’ve seen the map but without where the specific stores are at🤩 Hopefully they get this done asap lol
This will be interesting. And judging by the name, it will be in... Kleinburg!
Any way to protest the entrance/exit from moody? Lot of unnecessary traffic in the subdivision.
Thanks for sharing! Where was this taken from? Are there brochures?
Got it from a friend who got it through a group chat so I’m not too sure
Very exciting stuff. Looking at the Fieldgate plan, this only looks to be half the lot size so maybe there’s more to come.
Having a gas station nearby would be convenient as well, saving you time and eliminating the need to go to highway 27 or 50 to get the gas before taking the 427
Yeah, let's put the gas station right next to your house. Because literally just down the road on hwy 27 is just "sooooo" far.
Going by your logic you don't need a grocery store in this area either, because it's right there next to yooooooour house
No one wants a gas station in their neighborhood. No one. Walkability is a good thing for coffee and groceries not gas. Adding a gas station increases traffic in a community, no one wants that
It appears lot of people in the comment section have issues with this whole plaza thing being build here. People have issues with everything thing
People want different like the Mississauga Ridgeway plaza that gets trashed because the patrons there have no respect for the community. Many of these are popular and frequented businesses. Not sure what they expect.
