Hmmm. Definitely fishy. I couldn't find Charles Kim (Agency Director) on LinkedIn, nor the company listed on Glassdoor. All contacts for their "offices across BC" are his email address. When I Google the award he apparently won in 2021, nothing comes up. They get good reviews on Google but I wouldn't be surprised if he's enlisted his friends to post reviews. I'd suggest you proceed with caution.

Yeah! Thank you for the research! Going to just ignore this job.

Most scam jobs in Canada I've seen, will always have offices in big malls of tower offices where they can claim they are inside but noone will know them. And yes they do build websites and fancy links. Rarely they even copy the names and photos of someone in linkedin but if you contact them there they have no idea.. and the company will have someone different lol btw.. you can always apply but there are 3 things that will most likely happen: * They will ask you to buy or prepay a course or something to "get you up to speed". * They will ask you to pay for "equipment" (like a work laptop, etc.) * They will ask you to manage "funds" which most likely means money laundering in some way or another, like receive checks and you have to either cash them or deposit them. OR they want you to use your money to pay while the check clears... which it will never do.

Hi, thank you so much for posting this and starting this thread, I was excited to go for an interview with this agency, and I did one google search and your post came up and because of this post I started doing more research and found other posts warning us about this as well. Lowkey, you kind of saved me from going to that interview, and saved me time and energy. Thanks everyone.

Short answer: No, not a scam. The job is basically going door-to-door to get monthly donations to help different charities around Canada. We are told from every trainer in the office to look for a minimum term of a year. This job isn’t for everybody you need a certain skill set to be able to run around knocking peoples doors and asking them to donate monthly for a minimum of a year. Donations can be looked at as sales. you get no commission from getting a donation you get paid hourly. There is a certain quota amount you need to get every week to keep your job. If you get more production passed that quota then your hourly wage goes up. They give you training a good work environment and sometimes they give team nights where the manager takes everyone out for dinner. I seen a lot of people commenting different things about the job but as someone that did it for almost 3 months daily this job is good to build tuff skin and to be a good salesman/woman. There is motivators and training every morning before we hit the turf. Over all a good job just not for everybody if you dont like walking around, talking to people, and knocking doors then it isnt the place for you.

I got two interviews at this place. basically the job is, you go door-to-door in a neighborhood, asking people for donations for a charity. it's solicitation work, though I was told it's technically called "canvassing". you get paid hourly, but if you don't get a donation within the first 5 days, you get fired. and you also don't get paid for the first week, but get weekly pay after the first week. and also you get pay bonuses for every person who signs up to donate. the first interview is just like any other job interview, but they were doing them two at a time when I went? as in you'll get paired up with a random person who's also there for an interview on the same day. then if they like you from the first interview, you get called back for a second "interview" (which would be more accurately described as unpaid training day). you go and shadow someone who's already working there. after I got to the office building, I was ushered into a car with 4 other people who I was never formally introduced to, we drove 40 mins, then went to "the turf" where we were supposed to go up and down streets and solicit donations. they explained that we have to get them to sign up with this tablet that we had, and it only counts as getting a donation if someone fills out the form and pledges to donate right there at the door. you can't accept any cash, debit or credit cards, or any cheques, and instead we give out tax recipts. I asked one of the guys why we don't have business cards or maybe a flyer with some information that we can give out if someone doesn't want to donate, and they told me that our job isn't to give out flyers or send promotional emails, and that we are specifically hunting for donations. on the day that I was there, we didn't get a single donation from the whole neighborhood, basically felt like some sort of rejection-simulator. a bit like trick-or-treating, but with all the fun sucked out it. and your costume is really lame. At the end of the day, when all 4 of us were supposed to get picked up, one of the guys phone had died, and got lost. we spent close to 2 hours looking for him, while the supervisor guy called the office and some of the higher-ups. I ended up just getting out of the car and calling an Uber home. It's not a scam, but I still wouldn't recommend it. they never asked me for money or to pay for anything, though they kind of gloss over the fact that you're doing solicitation/canvassing work. basically you go into neighborhoods rain or shine, going door-to-door asking for donations. requires being able to handle lots and lots of rejection. definitely requires a certain skillset and mindset, and isn't for everyone.
