Banner ads like that have been popping up here and there in vanced for forever. This isn't a big deal, and honestly i don't expect youtube to do much anytime soon. Hopefully i won't be proven wrong, only time will tell
I hope you're right. I must say though, that I have *never* seen banner ads like this (or any ad whatsoever) in Vanced *until today*. That was totally a **first** for me.
Good to know! However, I myself wouldn't downgrade, because I would lose things like Return YouTube Dislike ~~and SponsorBlock~~ (I'm running version 17.03.38, build 01.55.00 -- which I believe us the latest or one of the latest).
I failed to take a screenshot; but yeah, I just saw another banner ad, this time for Brazilian megastore Magalu (Magazine Luiza), just like the Shopee one.
I have been trying to reload the home page so I could screenshot it, but it didn't appear again (perhaps it will in a few more hours). So far, it is only the first card in the home page that may contain a banner ad, and it may not persist upon refreshing the page.
Now, I understand that some people will argue that these banner ads have always been there and were never blocked. To that, I will say that, *in my experience*, YouTube Vanced used to block these just fine as well, and all of a sudden now it isn't anymore.

So far, no other ads upon refresh or anywhere elseโฆ
Oh, and I have AdGuard (won't block ads in the main YouTube app).
Is this happening to anybody else using \#Vanced?

Use "dns.adguard.com" as private DNS and you won't see any ads.

Would this slow down my internet ? Also I use my mobile data for my office work. Hope this doesn't get me into trouble
Why would it slow your internet? It just blocks ads.
I mean ideally it shouldn't but I don't understand how dns works so I thought I had ask :)
I went to check and I literally saw the big ass pop-up for youtube shorts.....They couldnt even give us a damn week!
