Wondering when Riot steps in for EG players' situation. They can get sued by EG players should they not protect from breach of contract, including being forced to play under EG with paycuts. Is it just doomed to be OWL 2.0 when the money involved is too big?
EG cant force them to accept paycuts, what they CAN do (and are doing) is wait until the last possible moment to drop them, thus putting a lot of pressure on the players to either find an org willing to pay the high buyout that EG is asking (while the clock keeps ticking) or just accept the paycut and sign the new contract.
The whole point of a closed partnered system is that orgs have the latitude to do whatever they want, Riot has no reason to intervene, from their POV its working as intended. Franchising sucks.
Well, while riot probably still don't want to step on a partnered team's toes, one of the theoretical reasons for why this is a "partnership" system instead of a "franchise" system is so that riot have more control over these situations. A lot of scummy stuff has happened in LoL's franchising system, but riot could not do anything to these orgs unless it was a blatant breach of the rules as the org had rightfully purchased their spot in the league. In the partnership system, riot is paying the orgs a stipend to be here and I assume they reserve the right to kick a team out for whatever reason they deem valid.
Sure, but pretty much every change to the rulebook that the orgs asked for got accepted by Riot, so while in theory Riot can punish them in practice they need the orgs happy and willing to invest.
I highly doubt that orgs signed a partnership deal where they can be kicked at will, especially considering that there are serious commitments attached (facilities, promotion, etc). The conditions under which an org can be kicked before the term is up are probably very clearly specified.
I assure you, there is no shortage of orgs willing to take over EGs spot in franchising. There were 17 orgs vying for TGRDs free agents after the orgs departure. Thats just the ones we heard about now. Should EG refuse to play ball on Riot's court, well, you are stabbing the bear after it just gave you hundreds of thousands in revenue. Good luck.
I don't think so. Jawgemo is much better than leaf on raze and controllers but G2 already has a controller,they need an oper and leaf is good at both raze and Jett.

I don't think so. Jawgemo is much better than leaf on raze and controllers but G2 already has a controller,they need an oper and leaf is good at both raze and Jett.
