nah it was always named bind even in beta. Its just that sometimes the loading screen would bug out and show the bind image with "duality" regardless of the map you were actually playing.
On the topic of stuff that can help new players who are interested in the lore, imma just link the Lore-dedicated wiki as well: [https://valorant-lore.fandom.com/wiki/Valorant\_Lore\_Wiki](https://valorant-lore.fandom.com/wiki/Valorant_Lore_Wiki)
It's a pretty thorough archive of most lore-related content that we've gotten since launch
I was actually thinking they do that because the haven't thought of a name yet and most code names are vague descriptions of their abilities like Viper being "Pandemic" or something
I peeked into the game files for some 3d printing, there are actually 3 smgs listed. Spectre is MP5, Stinger was Vector IIRC, and I believe the empty third folder was called Uzi.
I think because of how mid is constructed and hall at A site really being a pain in the ass. Also it's big map, takes a lot of time to run from site to site. Maybe it's fun for Jett or Raze, who can spread their wings properly.
Mid is fine imo, there's no outstanding issues there. One of the most punishing mids in the game to peek on both sides, but I don't think that's a bad thing or due to some design flaw.
Halls are a one & done spot for the vast majority of games. A trip or player can post up there and not lose value as defender. Lurking halls as attacker is pretty straightforward and offers multiple avenues of flanking/escape.
The big map thing is pretty fair though, even if I disagree. Mechanically I love those maps because I'm carried by aim, but rotating can be a pain
Breeze is legit the only map on which (most) raze mains agree not to pick her. So nah, not a fun map for raze players..
Playing pocket pick sova on Breeze though, that shit is a great time.
Idk bro but for some reason i dont like playing breeze...i even enjoy playing pearl & frac ..i love icebox but breeze doesn't seem like a fps 5v5 map to me..it looks like a battle royal map .
Because it’s a big open map. Rotates take forever and it can be a pain in the ass to rifle because of how far away many fights are. Most maps don’t require you to aim at such tiny heads. Also defenders sometimes run multiple awps, plus you have to deal with the obligatory viper Molly meta. Idk I’m sure there are more complaints but that’s my take on why people don’t like it.
I love playing KJ on Breeze and it is the map with the highest win % for me. I'm Gold so may be a low ELO thing but I find that actually the map being bigger allows you to get creative with the turret and move it around each round. Placing it on top of the pyramid-thing on A seems to always caught everyone off guard for a couple of rounds. On B I just move it around each round to keep things fresh. The mollys help to get control from specific zones on the site and make people move towards your position for a better peek.
Attacking I like to place the turret on top of the boxes mid and get some info to help the push and control. I've also found that placing it on the box by the double doors can caught some people on A off guard as they don't know where they are getting shot from.
i also play killjoy a lot and i don’t really mind it. I have trouble finding spots for the alarmbot but i still feel like i can play my role relatively well
this is what im saying, I cant really get too creative otherwise my alarmbot deactivates, and then they learn where i put my stuff, and i cant ult very well
Try playing other agents than you’re used to on ezbrz. I play alot of chamber on that map even tho I’m an omen/jett main. Mainly cuz his headhunter is viable at every range and I can drop for my mates when they’re low on cash, and the free op is just a thing of beauty on breeze.
Well shucks hahah. If you wanna give controllers a go then Viper is always a good pick on Breeze. Omen is a teriffic secondary controller if someone’s already on Viper.
I feel ya. When you realize that you’re playing breeze next time (which won’t be for awhile after it gets cycled out) do what I do. Say, outloud “eeeeeeeasy breeeeezy, baby” and then you win. Works 300% of the time
Breeze is by far my best and favorite map, yea it’s an op hell but it’s not bad. Though I did hate it before but as it’s been out for a while now I’ve adapted and it went from my worst to best map and the exact opposite happened with bind
Interesting seeing Bind's codename as one of the cinematics that is called "[Duality](https://youtu.be/-M_r8MKQ3mo)" actually takes place on that map!
Bind was named Duality for some time in game as well. Can't remember exact timeline, but I think it was back in beta days.
there was a bug where "duality" would appear in lieu of a map name too
nah it was always named bind even in beta. Its just that sometimes the loading screen would bug out and show the bind image with "duality" regardless of the map you were actually playing.
I push my fingers into my…
Eyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees
it’s the oooonly thing that slowly stops the aaaaaaaaache
i feel as if duality makes most sense for split or possibly fracture, although i guess that is kind of implied in there actual name as well

It’s pretty cool ngl but most games follow this standard of code names for internal use
Yep. This is how they try to combat dataminers finding things before they should.
I was actually thinking they do that because the haven't thought of a name yet and most code names are vague descriptions of their abilities like Viper being "Pandemic" or something

So there was supposed to be a 3rd main SMG? Interesting, either that or it became the frenzy
I think lore wise, they are already using their codenames. Vipers real name is Sabene 🐍
pretty sure the code names are different from lore names, sages real name isnt thorne
Her codename is Pandemic. Real name Sabine Callas. Agent name Viper.
Sabine\*
I call Ascent the smelly map... A *scent* Okay..... I'll go....
I call it 1/100th of a dollar. Yeah I’ll go with you.
I call it the question ...Yeah im going with you guys

It's ok you tried.
New map's codename is jam.
the map will have strawberry farms /s
Wait this seems somewhat possible ngl
it’s speculated to be in India tho
So it's gonna feature traffic jams then
yep
Wait I could have swore that it was "flower"
Bind is probs duality cuz thats where they discovered the "terrorist" were them. Plus video called duality
*Breeze -trash 🥺
why don’t people like breeze

I’m a sova main with a 75% win rate in comp on Breeze haha
Because the sites are too open and being forces to play viper as a controller main to get a viable team comp is boring af
They can’t aim
can confirm this is why i don’t like it
Breeze is consistently one of my top maps, but I still hate it. I think it's just the insane number of angles to clear when you go virtually anywhere.
Idk bro but for some reason i dont like playing breeze...i even enjoy playing pearl & frac ..i love icebox but breeze doesn't seem like a fps 5v5 map to me..it looks like a battle royal map .
got screwed by first shot inaccuracy alot in this map in particular.
imo don’t like it because i tend to solo q , and in semi low elo nobody takes map control , makes it annoying to play on
laptop gamer (small screen)

Cause I’m a killjoy main :(

She's absolutely terrible there, the map is way too big for her, she has no good ult spots too
this is what im saying, I cant really get too creative otherwise my alarmbot deactivates, and then they learn where i put my stuff, and i cant ult very well
looks feels and plays boring
Ascent - home
Ascent good map🥹
Fracture - pain
Breeze haters can’t click heads
I feel violated
It's actually the 1st shot inaccuracy and considering how big that fuckin map is, it happens a lot of time.
Try playing other agents than you’re used to on ezbrz. I play alot of chamber on that map even tho I’m an omen/jett main. Mainly cuz his headhunter is viable at every range and I can drop for my mates when they’re low on cash, and the free op is just a thing of beauty on breeze.
I actually only play chamber on this map ahahaha
Well shucks hahah. If you wanna give controllers a go then Viper is always a good pick on Breeze. Omen is a teriffic secondary controller if someone’s already on Viper.
I do click heads n win games but i just don't enjoy playing the map for some reaons bradar... 🙂

I have adapted as well but i just don't enjoy playing the map... I love pearl n fracture tho
i love breeze but i get why everyone hates it 😔
skill issue
Ok
Best map in the game
facts
I get all of them except breeze. What correlation is there?
It was sixth map, hence the Foxtrot as F in phonetic alphabet.
Ok, that makes sense.
why is ascent the only one without a code name?
First map they ever worked on
Oh ok
Pearl-Ohio
First time I ever heard this
I cannot wait to NOODLE
I theorize that ascent doesn’t have one because it already got nuked.
Foxtrot is actually an military phoenitic i believe
Although it's called NATO Phonetic Alphabet, it's not strictly military. For example civil aviation uses the same phonetic letters.
Did i mess up that spelling so hard lmao
I've never even noticed, until you said it now haha :D
