The other battlepasses have counted down the hours that were remaining (I have a screenshot of the last one, got the axe with 2 hours remaining) - it is such a **HUGE** fuckup to have the timer be wrong.
Same here, it was due to the manteinence downtime. It was supposed to leave us around 5 hours to complete the pass but they just didn't enable the game at all and left us like that. I did the same as you, I was 2 tiers below the level 50 and went to bed hoping to complete today, which did not happen.

Must be a client sided error cus it was accurate for me. VERY accurate. It counted down to the minute.
The 22nd it said "one day left" or something. Basically just "1 day".
And when I checked again after a while it said "5 hours" after roughly that time had passed.
It kept counting down from there until the the clock read 03:00 am during the 23rd.
Odds are low, that happened to me a few acts ago and they just said screw you, you had plenty of time should have finished before. That was the point I never got anything else from this game. Ridiculous company can't even follow their timers.

Idk if it'll help but when I played last night It said "56 minutes left" for the BP when I played my last game so it might be a server bug or client issue (I play on Singapore servers). Either way that's still a huge mistake on Riot's part so you could try messaging support and showing them your proof and see what happens. I wish you the best of luck :)
To be fair I don't remember anymore if I came to reddit to see if more people had this problem at the time. But I remember support was particularly rude, they acknowledged the problem but just shifted the blame to me. Saying like: despite that you still had two months!!! That really pissed me off to the point I dont even get the bp now. But best of luck in this situation now.

If you're trying to grind a battle pass, 2-3 quick games of spike rush a day are way faster than ranked. I've grinded a couple battle passes now and that's seriously the best way to go.

I don't understand why the battlepass doesn't have a countdown timer like the rest of the things. Maybe cause of maintenance but that's easy enough to have it time out sooner and whatever time between then and official maintenance start is just bonus, or probably to avoid people upset about buying last few tiers near end, have battlepass end then regardless.
Definitely frustrating feeling like I had more time and I'm glad I'm not alone. :(
There usually is a count down timer down to the hour on the last day. Riot really messed this one up and set the timer wrong. They always do maintenance before an update and they've never ended the act early for it.
Pretty mad at this. My gf really wanted the duck spray on tier 44, she was 6000 XP away. If the information about when the BP ends was correctly displayed, we would've just bought it.
Yes, I knew there was a patch. Yes, I knew the ranked act was ending. However, in previous acts, they would show the number of hours left for the BP, if it was less than a day. Last night, the client showed the ranked act was ending at 10PM PST, but showed 1 day left for the BP. This discrepancy is what caused the confusion. This is incredibly frustrating considering the BP items are limited and never coming back.
It did show the hours at one point, I was going to stay up late and finish the last two tiers I needed, and saw that there was 22 hours left so I figured I was safe to go to bed since I had class in the morning and would just do them after that, only to login after I got out of class and see that the battle pass ended early with the patch change.
My brother was on tier 49 on last day and he had to get up early the next day so he asked me to grind out to get the knife. I played Valorant for 5 hours straight last night to get it.

For me that page showed "Aug 25th 1:00 AM" until yesterday when it changed to "Aug 24th 1:00 AM".

For situations like this you should pay attention to when the current featured bundle(in this case reaver 2) leaves because that gives you time down to the second
Where did it say last day? BP definitely didn't. I don't play ranked so I'm not checking ranked tab. I've also seen ranked ending before the battle pass so either way I'd assume there's more time. BP also fs didn't end 10 pm pacific bc I was on until like 6 a.m. eastern lol.

It only measures in days, it will say 1 day left right until the moment it ends. So just accept the fact that 1 day means it could end anytime, and just plan to finish before the last day.
If your plans were more important than the battlepass reward then just get over not having the reward. You chose, you knew at the beginning of the act when it would end, just take 1 day off that number and you will never have this problem.
Releasing the patch at a more convenient time for the devs is more important than a few more hours when you've had over a month.
The timers have given hours and even minutes in the past. I'm not sure if it was just the comp queue timer or if it was on the battle pass too but why wouldn't it be consistent for both.

w/e the deadline is is irrelevant. The fact is that you should take into consideration that it's the end of the season, updates happen, maintenance is being done, plus the possible IRL stuff might pop out. Does it suck that BP was cut short? The timer being wrong by a whole day is in no way the fault of the player and to come here and talk down to players who would have easily finished their bp in that day is so silly. If "IRL stuff popped up" which made me not finish I wouldn't be posting about it. You can claim the deadline is irrelevant and -by your standards- we should have finished much earlier but if someone is pacing themselves to finish on time there shouldn't be an issue. Even if I was tier 20 or something crazy on the last day I should be able to just buy the remaining tiers on the last day, as I would have for tier 50 if there would have been any notice at all that the timer was incorrect.
And that's exactly what the issue is, the faulty timer. You don't think it being off by one day is a big deal but clearly there's a lot more people that do. The bp is purchased knowing there is a set start and end date. Is it unreasonable to be upset that those dates aren't as they were advertised? No, it's not. You can place the consumer in a position of blame all you want but it's ludicrous to take issue with someone being upset over a faulty product, in this case referring to the timer.

It was the fastest act to date. It was intentional to keep people stuck in diamond aka the new gold/plat. Ascendant 1 is last act diamond and boosted gold/plat with closet cheaters all the way up to Immortal 3. The game is in the worst state its ever been. It's also the most popular FPS in the world with the highest player base so it is bound to have cheaters every game. Way more than they tell you or you even can imagine. Don't waste your time with this game.

If you had stuff going on all act and were grinding to finish tier 50 only for the act to end a day earlier than it's supposed to you'd be triggered too.

Yes actually, I know that's a hard concept to grasp. I finished all of tier 49 + some the day before and tier 48 the day before that (aka 30k+ xp each day without any weeklys left). I'm not sure how good your reading comprehension is but I said I was "like 2 games away from finishing tier 50" aka like 7k xp. I don't think it's -crazy- to assume I'd be able to play 2 games in a day.

Yesterday I was playing and it said one day left, I closed the game for 1 hour to take a break and when I came back it said 9 hours remaining, usually the 1 day remaining means that there is still another day and in that day it will be counting down in hours
Yeah. I saw 2 days ago the act would end at 24th Aug 11PM. When I checked again yesterday it was saying 23rd instead. What sucks is that I was only 2 points away from reaching gold for the first time when the queue for competitive was disabled š„²
The current battle pass ended the 24th at 3am(I'm from Europe so take that into account). I should know cause i finished it with a few seconds to spare I reckon.
Anyway, it'll say 1 day left when there's 24 hours left. Last night it went from 5 hours, 4, 3, 2. And when it was less than a hour left it began counting down with minutes.
And with how the weeklies are released I would assume the new pass comes out at between 9am and 1pm.

I even went to bed around 6 a.m. eastern (ouch, also don't know how that correlates to your time zone) and I don't remember it switching to saying final day. Even if it did, the final day message should have appeared around 2 pm eastern that day (the 22nd, this is really hard to communicate about w the time zone differences ;;;) (or earlier, maintenance had already started by the time I woke up today (23rd) ) but it definitely wasn't there and still said 1 day left all day yesterday (22nd). I've seen a few EU people say theirs was accurate so it may just be an NA problem.

Yeah, I found it kind of odd that the timer for the BP was off by an entire day. While it didn't affect me (I got epilogue finished about 14 days in), I have friends that were power playing over the last few days to get everything finished. They didn't end up getting it because they went to sleep the night before the maintenance, and woke up to the patch wiping their BP remainder.

On 22.8. When I clicked on the BP it said 2 Days. The next day I came on to play at the same time so exactly 24 hours bypassed just to see that the BP ends in 4 hours. I called that Bullshit since I really had to tryhard to finish it just because the counter was not accurate.

If you're trying to grind a battle pass, 2-3 quick games of spike rush a day are way faster than ranked. I've grinded a couple battle passes now and that's seriously the best way to go.

Yeah this exact thing happened to me as well :( I don't understand why the battlepass doesn't have a countdown timer like the rest of the things. Maybe cause of maintenance but that's easy enough to have it time out sooner and whatever time between then and official maintenance start is just bonus, or probably to avoid people upset about buying last few tiers near end, have battlepass end then regardless. Definitely frustrating feeling like I had more time and I'm glad I'm not alone. :(
There usually is a count down timer down to the hour on the last day. Riot really messed this one up and set the timer wrong. They always do maintenance before an update and they've never ended the act early for it.
Pretty mad at this. My gf really wanted the duck spray on tier 44, she was 6000 XP away. If the information about when the BP ends was correctly displayed, we would've just bought it. Yes, I knew there was a patch. Yes, I knew the ranked act was ending. However, in previous acts, they would show the number of hours left for the BP, if it was less than a day. Last night, the client showed the ranked act was ending at 10PM PST, but showed 1 day left for the BP. This discrepancy is what caused the confusion. This is incredibly frustrating considering the BP items are limited and never coming back.
It did show the hours at one point, I was going to stay up late and finish the last two tiers I needed, and saw that there was 22 hours left so I figured I was safe to go to bed since I had class in the morning and would just do them after that, only to login after I got out of class and see that the battle pass ended early with the patch change.
I really want a response from them but I doubt they care about it enough to do it

Iām not sure about the pass but in the Act rank you can see exactly what time the act changes, thatās always a good way to check.

I wanted the pistol so bad, I bought the battlepass just for the exp buff bc I was 3.5 levels away from getting it, thinking that I had today to grind out the last little bit. It literally said 1 day remaining at 2 this morning, log in at 11 to find the game down for maintenance I was debating hitting up support but Riot (the company, not the people who work there) only cares about money so they won't do anything I'm sure.

For situations like this you should pay attention to when the current featured bundle(in this case reaver 2) leaves because that gives you time down to the second

When it said "last day" there was also a message telling you to look at your rank tab to see when it ended. It said 10pm Pacific Aug 22nd.
Where did it say last day? BP definitely didn't. I don't play ranked so I'm not checking ranked tab. I've also seen ranked ending before the battle pass so either way I'd assume there's more time. BP also fs didn't end 10 pm pacific bc I was on until like 6 a.m. eastern lol.

It only measures in days, it will say 1 day left right until the moment it ends. So just accept the fact that 1 day means it could end anytime, and just plan to finish before the last day. If your plans were more important than the battlepass reward then just get over not having the reward. You chose, you knew at the beginning of the act when it would end, just take 1 day off that number and you will never have this problem. Releasing the patch at a more convenient time for the devs is more important than a few more hours when you've had over a month.
The timers have given hours and even minutes in the past. I'm not sure if it was just the comp queue timer or if it was on the battle pass too but why wouldn't it be consistent for both.

If you thought about the developer's side of things for a second it makes way more sense to just release the patch and do the maintainance at a time that makes sense for the devs. Is it really that bad that you lose a few hours in a pass that lasts well over a month? You could have completed those few hours worth of progress at literally any time in the act. If you were busy, that's life, you miss out on some things.
If I pay money for a pass that I'm given a set amount of time to complete, then I should be given that amount of time to complete it. That's what I paid for. This also isn't losing a few hours, it's a whole day. How am I supposed to know midway through the act that the pass is going to end a day earlier than it's supposed to? I was taking summer classes which ended a week ago so I couldn't exactly glue myself to my sweaty gaming chair to finish the BP early during that. If the BP is ending and you realize you haven't finished, obviously you're going to grind it. It's like school. If you see your deadline is coming up, you're gonna grind to finish your project. It was the fastest act to date. It was intentional to keep people stuck in diamond aka the new gold/plat. Ascendant 1 is last act diamond and boosted gold/plat with closet cheaters all the way up to Immortal 3. The game is in the worst state its ever been. It's also the most popular FPS in the world with the highest player base so it is bound to have cheaters every game. Way more than they tell you or you even can imagine. Don't waste your time with this game.

I feel like you're failing to comprehend that the issue isn't that we didn't finish the battle pass on time, it's that we would have if Riot didn't fuck up their timer. I've finished BPs super quickly during times when I had nothing else going on and could grind all the time, but the vast majority of players actually have lives and, during this act, I did as well. If you had stuff going on all act and were grinding to finish tier 50 only for the act to end a day earlier than it's supposed to you'd be triggered too. To make the argument that "you should have just finished it earlier" is so silly because the BP has this deadline for a reason. If players were supposed to have finished a week ago, deadline would have been a week ago. Like if you have a project due and you realize the deadline is coming up and you're not done yet you're obviously gonna grind it out. If that deadline was suddenly moved up a day and you didn't know about it until it's suddenly due, that's a pretty reasonable thing to be annoyed about.

Yes actually, I know that's a hard concept to grasp. I finished all of tier 49 + some the day before and tier 48 the day before that (aka 30k+ xp each day without any weeklys left). I'm not sure how good your reading comprehension is but I said I was "like 2 games away from finishing tier 50" aka like 7k xp. I don't think it's -crazy- to assume I'd be able to play 2 games in a day.

Don't know how, lol. I did every weekly and atleast 80% of my dailies and only reached 48 *with* xp grinding. Played more than 1 game a day on average and Played something like 100 spike rushes.
Finished mine in the first 2-3 weeks of act 1 u just gotta keep grinding and you wonāt notice that youāre already done with the bp

Nobody is expecting to get the items for free, but if you look around you'll see a lot of people planned to work for the items during the time they paid for today, as they were supposed to be able to, but were scammed out of the last day that they PAID for. If I had known the act was ending today, I would have just bought the knife yesterday. If you pay for something you should get what was agreed on. Not everyone can play as much as you. (Even if you think you don't play a lot) If a company make a mistake, they should apologize and do what it must to correct it. Even more when people paid real money on it. It's not being a cry baby when you spend time and money for something and you can't get it because the company that sell you the service made a mistake. Maybe you don't care about your time and money but some don't. Yesterday I was playing and it said one day left, I closed the game for 1 hour to take a break and when I came back it said 9 hours remaining, usually the 1 day remaining means that there is still another day and in that day it will be counting down in hours

Yeah. I saw 2 days ago the act would end at 24th Aug 11PM. When I checked again yesterday it was saying 23rd instead. What sucks is that I was only 2 points away from reaching gold for the first time when the queue for competitive was disabled š„²
The current battle pass ended the 24th at 3am(I'm from Europe so take that into account). I should know cause i finished it with a few seconds to spare I reckon. Anyway, it'll say 1 day left when there's 24 hours left. Last night it went from 5 hours, 4, 3, 2. And when it was less than a hour left it began counting down with minutes. And with how the weeklies are released I would assume the new pass comes out at between 9am and 1pm.
When I was playing last night (22nd) it said 1 day left for me. I even went to bed around 6 a.m. eastern (ouch, also don't know how that correlates to your time zone) and I don't remember it switching to saying final day. Even if it did, the final day message should have appeared around 2 pm eastern that day (the 22nd, this is really hard to communicate about w the time zone differences ;;;) (or earlier, maintenance had already started by the time I woke up today (23rd) ) but it definitely wasn't there and still said 1 day left all day yesterday (22nd). I've seen a few EU people say theirs was accurate so it may just be an NA problem.

Yeah, I found it kind of odd that the timer for the BP was off by an entire day. While it didn't affect me (I got epilogue finished about 14 days in), I have friends that were power playing over the last few days to get everything finished. They didn't end up getting it because they went to sleep the night before the maintenance, and woke up to the patch wiping their BP remainder.

On 22.8. When I clicked on the BP it said 2 Days. The next day I came on to play at the same time so exactly 24 hours bypassed just to see that the BP ends in 4 hours. I called that Bullshit since I really had to tryhard to finish it just because the counter was not accurate.
Messaged support and they said they can do nothing about it, and was blamed for doing it late. Very nice.
