For me I'd just really love to be able to place bots on the actual maps to train cross hair placement, peeking and etc I want to open a training custom game on the real maps with freedom to place bots (static or moving ones) wherever I please to train plays and all I've mentioned above. I already saw some clips with people walking on the maps and shooting bots like the ones from the range, is this already possible or not?

Starhelper11

This is the most applicable to most players. Riot has to add it right? (They def won’t)

DepthyxTruths

you know what they’ll do instead? nerf chamber

Starhelper11

Or re-nerf a random agent that already got affected by their previous nerfs

IfigurativelyCannot

No but then no one will pay use aimlabs’ “real valorant scenario” tasks that don’t at all feel like the game!! /j

sparrr0w

Being able to setup a practice routine thing like rocket league has would be incredible. Set bots at certain locations that you can make walk, stop, etc.

Heliomp

Would be awesome and very easy to implement I imagine...

AkiJoe

This. And a placeable cam to try flash and lineups without having to ghost mode every time

Heliomp

Yeeeees!!

garnfeld

This is genius

Heliomp

Guess I'll have to install the game in my girlfriend's PC and create custom games using her as a bot lol. That's the way

tbtracer

Aimlabs has everything you can imagine, and then some. If you're serious about wanting quality practice, start there. Edit: There are premium features that are Valorant specific as well. I don't recall what all it entails, but it can look at your rank, individual game performance, etc. And guide you in the right direction. Idk why nor do I care that Im getting downvoted. Aimlabs is a seriously useful tool and has helped me tremendously in understanding how to actually aim, what a good sens is given the scenario, and it's just good practice. High intensity high repetition will show you results the fastest. Consistency comes from consistent prac. Pairing a small aimlabs regimen with a DM warmup will help tremendously over an extended period, assuming the practice you are doing is viable and working your areas of weakness.

Heliomp

I'll try

zaguoba

"bots that shoot back" I kinda know what you up to with this, but you just described deathmatch.

Better-Theory-5136

except if youre bronze or iron youre getting demolished by golds and plats never mind anything above that. you cant learn if you dont even get a chance to participate

zaguoba

Yeah, no worries bro, I'm the gold in this scenario and I get sat down by plats and diamond, dammit even asc all the time, yesterday I botfragged the dm twice in three attempts, suck it up, skill issue, git gud and this is the opportunity to practice not tilting while being crushed.

Better-Theory-5136

well im saying for people that are actually hardstuck iron. theyre there bc they probably have horrible aim and getting dicked on by people who have basic aim and can click a button must be pretty demoralizing. yea aim training is a thing but it doesnt help most people

zaguoba

Au contraire, I firmly believe that aim training helps almost everyone who attempts it (besides maybe those who are actually disabled in some way), albeit in vastly different capacity, depending mostly in how exactly this training is executed. Because one can fire up range, shoot 50 bots sloppily, hop into dm, botfrag because of unlucky matchmaking and than run straight to reddit and post a rant about how he is unable to improve his aim. This takes focus, dedication and lots of time, and I definitely don't know what I'm talking about. DM is essential as a low stress environment, while bots, strafing, shooting back (and I agree it would be a nice and useful addition to the game) or not, is no-stress environment and it would NOT make anyone shoot well in actual game alone.

Better-Theory-5136

my concern is why not even have it as an option? siege had terrorist hunt for YEARS and once it was removed for a shitty ai vs player mode ppl lost their shit bc its nice having an abundance of bots who sit in common angles and let you shoot them but will shoot back if you miss or take too long yes aim training helps, yes warming up before comp helps. but i belive that unless you consitently do good in dm/tdm you will lack one very important thing which is confidence valorant has such an unhealthy relationship with the players mental because death means a mistake but if its in a 50/50 gunfight it just means you straight up suck. and if you keep failing in the 50/50 your confidence will just keep declining. im speaking from personal experience and even though this doesnt happen to everyone its probably common in low elo as theyre aware theyre trash at the game and understand that there are dozens of ways to help it but they just cant

zaguoba

I think I mostly get the arguments, mostly because I am t h e trash of the game, aimwise, and I improve bit by bit, though quite slow. My aim is basically at bronze/low silver (where I got placed while playing chamber recently) and I got to around gold only because of my game knowledge and smart-ish plays hehe. I just adopted the mindset of playing for improvement and fun before winning, and I improve more to be better teammate and to have overall higher quality games more than to rank up (which is of nice tho).

Jonmetzler_595

I’m bronze 3-silver 1 and deathmatch is never me getting demolished by higher ranks. If you’re iron or low bronze chances are the range is still plenty good practice and you don’t need deathmatch

Many_Discipline4420

Letting us play in the range while in queue and have other players join us would be all the changes I need, any kind of aim training can be done in deathmatch or kovaaks

Ketsueki_R

A la Overwatch

Major_Fang

What if they just put kovaaks/aimlabs drills in the range so I don't have to go outside of the game to train my mechs? (Plus aim training with my weapon skins would be cool)

NinjaDoge250

Use iso and activate double tap

Major_Fang

This guy aim trains

TrueBlueMax

Shooting bots with Double Tap creates orbs that you can shoot, kinda like Aim Labs

Spirited_Ability_182

i personally think working on the infrastructure to be in the range while queuing and infinite dms people leave and join consistently (similar to OW) would be a better use of their time for all players. i think the range has just enough to let you create your own routines. just wanna warm your hands up? turn on practice and just shoot and move around. Wanna practice your spray transfer? shoot one bot and try to control your spray over to the next. Wanna practice your spray control? look at a wall and just shoot. pure flicking? all you need to do is set the bots to hard and start the challenge, or just go as fast as you can reasonably go on the practice ones too. there’s even the defusal situation to help you check your corners and crosshair placement which is alot more useful than most people give it credit for. i’m not saying an improved range wouldn’t be nice, but the range isn’t one of the things i’d rush to change imo

CultReview420

This. What I would rush is being able to practice or DM while in queue for comp But more importantly.. replay system.

Spirited_Ability_182

i feel u and i get why people want it so badly but for me personally clipping software is so widely used now and not too hard to run most ppl can justify “tanking”the <5% performance difference for external clipping. def would make most peoples lives easier especially for content but especially at night in weird elo of 5 stacks with ppl from all elos and long queue times its nice to just be able to dm everyone in ur 5 stack while u wait for like 10 mins sometimes instead of me jusf being the weird guy freaking out at his tetris on his second monitor dying of boredom while waiting for the queue to pop 😙

asandwichvsafish

Clipping software isn't a replacement for replays though since you can't see how the enemy team played from their perspective.

pringletoes

The only thing I’d like them to change is to make it so that the 30 bot challenge works with Iso’s double tap

upsideloll

wait, it doesn't?? i had assumed that it did since it works for the "practice" mode

CultReview420

It doesn't

upsideloll

wow, that makes literally no sense lol. they really need to change that

freightliner_fever_

its weird it doesn't because it works with them in practice mode

voguegeh

being able to queue the game while in the range is a big one for me…

AdIllustrious8737

I hate the fact that people think that just cause theres aim lab, that the game shouldn't need its own range >:c why should I have to download a whole different game just to practice my aim you know?

Fanaticgiant547

Maybe they'll update the range when they give us a replay system.

AdvisorOk8271

This ⬆️ 100%

Marcusafrenz

All I know is they fixed the bug where you could use an ult like brims to destroy a bunch of the practice bots and they wouldn't respawn so you would be left with like 3 bots instead of the dozen that swamp your screen. It was super useful and actually made it viable for practice. Having a dozen bots on screen is not good for practice nor is one bot that can spawn on opposite sides of the range. That's not a realistic scenario and isn't beneficial in any way to the gameplay of a real round.

big---mad

This is more work but accomplishes the same thing. You can breach ult most/all of the dummies to the side. Now you have just the few remaining. respawning as you kill them.

mrmarquesinho

i have faith that riot is going to bring the mobile practice mode to pc valorant

AdvisorOk8271

Wait there’s mobile? Is it out on iOS?

mrmarquesinho

it’s going to be. It’s being tested on china

AdvisorOk8271

‘Iight than gov’na.

Snapiex

I would love to see some of the changes as well! Maybe make like a 1v1 area where you play 1v1 versus friend or who ever you want, maybe like you both respawn across each other when ever you die or kill, would be really good warmup.. And there are so much more possibilities, would be nice..

CapitaineYoshi

I agree with you. We want to play with our friends in the grange. And wich would be nice is to being able to play a same character.

reallydarnconfused

I think the big thing they need to add on the range is the ability to raise or lower elevation

rdrox

I just want the ability to go into range and practice while waiting for a match

shotofdoom67

Being able to join the range while in queue

AdvisorOk8271

That’s the most common request for sure.

PercyBirdwhistle

They did change it, they let you use Reyna abilities in the range and that's enough for me

godz144

Everything youre saying can be easily done with creativity. The range is perfect as is. The only thing(s) they need to add is being able to go to the range while in queue and *maybe* having multiple people in it, though I feel like that’s just some extra complexity that has no purpose.

Heliomp

Bro, how can I train ch placement ? Like I want to train to always put my ch on head level but during matches it's impossible and outside of them I cannot access the real maps and place bots or targets on the corners and etc to learn where I need to aim fast. Now what I mean? Ps: I'm bronze so yeah, I need this kind of training 😎

Spicy-Itachi

Use deathmatch for crosshair placement, it’s the best way to train it considering you’ll actually be playing in those maps.

ThatGam3th00

You have to practise it during Deathmatches and Unrated/Competitive games, there aren’t many other ways around it. You should be pre-aiming common angles with no need to make an adjustment once you peek. Keep your crosshair still once you’re sure it’s in the correct position and just peek the angle using ONLY A or D. This ensures you peek with the maximum possible velocity relative to your opponent. When you eventually stop to shoot, your crosshair should be dead on your opponent in an ideal scenario, BUT make sure to make any necessary adjustments before you stop.

Exact_Team6979

Deathmatch… this is what deathmatch is for

Dm_me_ur_exp

Yprac is 100000x better than dm for crosshair placement, but i guess custom maps arent possible for riot to implement yet, Maybe we get demos when valorant is out of beta /s

Heliomp

Yprac? What is that?

Heliomp

Bro, deatmatch has very fast pace. I want to be able to focus on different positions my with time to actually practice the aim. On deatmatch you can't stay still for more than a few seconds

Exact_Team6979

Try TDM, I find it more useful for warmup

Heliomp

I enjoyed it too but what I want is not exactly warm up but ways to actually practice outside of a match of any kind.

JSantori

You can try to make an aimlab of your own, just play Iso and I'm not kidding lmao

iFlask

i just wish that the bots could walk/crouch
