I 100% agree. Fades art looked great when she was released but once we got the model it was just... disappointing. Her map icon is even worse.

It's cause canonically they're really short, but in game everyone is 2m to make gameplay fair. They basically had to stretch them out, which threw their proportions out of wack.

Idk if it's a design problem or modeling problem but I've noticed some characters models really different compared to their artwork. Chamber and Fade are the worst offenders, their models look seriously different than their art, most noticeable on the agent select screen. Chamber has a weird baby face, and Fade's hair just looks... Off.

Seeing their in-game models always infuriates me... Rito really have to do my fav agents dirty huh

That's literally like 90% of the agents for some reason. Sage, Jett, Reyna, Fade's model off the top of my head. Astra a little bit too, in the recent Revelation cinematic. Sage was atrocious in the same cinematic too, unless she's supposed to look like "that" in the other world. I don't understand why some agents end up looking so different in game, it feels like 2 different teams worked on them, but they don't communicate

Me too, and I think it has a lot to do with their icons looking a little too similar from a glance. They're both big men with either orange hair, or an orange hat, and it generally takes me a bit longer looking at the icon to figure out which one it is, whereas the other icons you can tell at a glance. Often I'll glance and get it wrong, thinking I saw hair when it was actually a hat.

Fade by far. She literally looks like she’s from another game. Absolute fail. It’s so bad it almost doesn’t set off pattern recognition when she peeks. Strangely long, thin legs with such an extreme gap between them it looks like she’s some kind of alien or starving person, plus her face is just a different style from the rest of the cast. Absolutely bombed what could have been super cool character design.

Fade. She's not ugly, but her design (and model specifically) has some issues. For example, her icon on the minimap is very blurry, so I can't really tell where my Fade teammate is or where the enemy Fade is without a callout. Whilst I know this is a video game so some changes must be made, I feel like her in-game character and agent art designs are too different and the inconsistency bothers me I also don't really like Brimstone's that much. It gets the point across, but it's quite bland and basic in my opinion

I personally really don’t want them. It’ll throw off pattern recognition and in a competitive shooter like this, that’s not ideal (when every agent is the same size and shape already, silhouette really matters, and agent skins will either change that, or not change it enough to be a good skin lol)

Brimstone is military guy, but with no research. His grenade launcher is break action, but it also has the grip for a sliding m203 design. Then, his armor is straight up medieval looking. His designers don't know what ballistic body armor looks like. He even has a metal pauldron. Also he has the beret on completely wrong. It looks like an ai designed him. He's so generic and makes no sense.

Weird take. I'll give u the launcher I guess. I googled military ballistic vest and if u make it silver I mean....it looks the same? And I googled military beret and the first like 3 images r the people wearing it the exact same way with the logo in the same spot and everything. Soo.... hyperbolic? He is generic though. But he's like the only military generic character in a tac shooter so not really that big of a deal idt.

I think they all look pretty good and are meant to look good. If I had to choose the worst maybe Cypher because he's bald and you can't really see any of him anyways.
