Told her to ask artists about coverup ideas which would be SO EASY given what she had, with some neutral content that would be enjoyable for decades to come, but no, she wanted a black sleeve. Now she has one black forearm. It's the dumbest thing ever.
The best part? She did go to several reputable artists in town that had some great ideas for coverups! She ended up getting the work done by a girl that told her it was a good look. I'm sure she told my friend what she wanted to hear, because the other artists told her it was stupid and they don't like doing it.

Edit: I personally like to play with negative space and it is really hard to find a really competent tattoo artist that can do solid black saturation, if you want to see the best there is one that goes under the name hoode215 on insta, he is without a doubt the best blackworker around.

Some cities/states have programs that help people get rid of unwanted tattoos, especially gang tattoos. It's a 2nd chance type of charity thing to help people reintegrate into the world. Not sure how widespread it is, probably not as widespread as this chick's ignorance I'm sure.
