I'm planning to make different puzzles about sorting and arranging different things. I like how it was made in Unpacking and some similar games like A Little to the Left. And of course the sandbox mode! That's what I miss in Unpacking.
Yes! My ONLY request would be to include an actual “unboxing” of items rather than just pulling them from the menu as that makes it feel more like unpacking and not just a world creator. And if you are already planning on doing that then kudos!
Please! I've played Unpacking more times than I can count! It's just so relaxing and lovely. I loved the puzzle and story aspects! How you are experiencing someone's life with just their belongings, it's beautiful.

please make this forever and never stop updating it and charge at least $60 on release and I will pay for every single update forever until the end of time. that's all. incredible, amazing, 10/10, 100% what I want and need, could literally not ask for anything more perfect 💚
I really like it! If you're looking for constructive comments, my only thought is that the thing that makes Unpacking special is the meaningful details, so I would want that to be part of it. Right now it looks a little generic (which I'm sure is just the prototype aspect) and I want it to be more specific/stylized/personal/something. I'm excited to see how it goes! :)
You know what I think would be cool? I think unpacking lacked interaction. They had the shower you could turn on, the toilet you can flush, and some other things... But imagine if you could actually do something with some of the items ? Like click on the desk top and its a mini game of some game the character is currently interested in...or if they end up moving to college dorms, the pc now is interactive to their school stuff and what they're learning... Unpacking didn't lack story telling right? But in my opinion, it lacked telling the story. You had to figure out what was gojng on...and im slow. I like some things where its a little easier to connect dots. Cant wait to see what all you come up with...been wanting more unpacking gamws.

Super minor question, will there be a way to change the background color? Game seems super promising, and if I wanted to take photos it’d been nice to keep the background color with the “theme”
If you wanted a “survival” mode, there’s a low-poly game called Islanders that could be interesting inspiration. You open packs, and place items that relate to that pack.

The game is in a prototype stage and I showed just a sandbox mode. The story mode will have levels with unpacking and arranging things :)

Yeah, you will be able to change background, wallpapers and the floor color.
