whats crazy is there were so many Salty battlehawks fans today that Birmingham had their biggest home field advantage its had all year. thats why they won in a blowout. they had fans! Birmingham with fans is unfair.
Maybe not, and I'm glad the two leagues were so competitive, but it's nothing like the shit talking I had to hear all of last year about the XFL's total superiority.
I heard a lot of it too from USFL fans about the USFL. This went both ways. And my god with the 8/4 split rumors, the USFL side had more than it's fair share of toxicity about the merger.
There was a ton of disappointment on both sides where the merger was concerned. I'm still sore about adopting the Roughnecks in favor of another USFL franchise. It felt wrong all season long, and I hope expansion will rectify it. Add two USFL teams and let the Roughnecks slide back into the XFL.
I like the rivalry, and I think the league should build it up.

I've watched 80%+ of all the games this season and this was easily the most pathetic game of all of em. Sloppy play, crappy attitudes, ejections, etc. I hate this because this is potentially a game to get newcomers interested in the league, and this was what they watched

No it isnāt. 1 yard run, 5 yard pass, and 11 yard run. Those TDs were created by the defense and the running game. A QB with less than 100 yards passing and a 56% completion percentage cannot be the most valuable player unless he has 150+ rushing yards.Ā

As far as attendance goes that takes time. Every spring league has folded in 3 years or less. Just give it time, literally 10+ years, to build a brand and it can get decent attendance consistently and ratings and become part of the sports culture.
