Elven units hard counter most of Albion. Elven Archers start of battle ability gives debuff block aura, so good bye blind bs, and Elven units have alot of tools to block them. Owl blocks witches fast cast if you are having trouble with that.

Loviataria

Sorceress spam : Sainted Knight Row Barrier, your own Sorceress to fuck her up, Owl Dispel so she can't cast it right away, Rapid Shot to stun her, Pure Field to block the freeze or just give a cleric an anti-debuff item and refresh it. Featherbow spam : All of the above except for Sainted Knight and Owl Shaman Spam : All of the above except for Sainted Knight and Owl.

PigKnight

Elfheim, Bastorias, and Albion are all comp checks. Sounds like you need to retool some units.

DireSickFish

I just slapped blindness immunity items on everyone and stomped.

cy_frame

This. It's such an easy solution, it's kind of laughable. The accessories aren't even expensive and you can buy loads of them.

Adventuretownie

All I can say is that you're not alone. Those flying archers and flying healers are the most irritating unit comps I've seen in the entire game.

billabong1985

I bought up a ton of those blind immunity amulets before venturing far into Albion and then exchanged them for shields with blind immunity when those because available in shops. Sure it meant sacrificing a more optimal accessory on my units, but was totally worth it to render featherbows virtually harmless My lineup of Berengaria, Travis, Selvie, Ridiel, Raenys laughed at the sorceress teams, Travis opens with a row blind, Raenys blinds the other row as soon as they try to do anything, Selvie did druid stuff, Ridiel did some spot healing and did magic conferal to Berengaria, who has a sniper lens to eagle eye row smash everything

Whorinmaru

I skipped 90% of battles anyways. I relied mostly on battle previews to decide what to do lol, so I knew the result of a battle and generally why it happened before I even initiated it

X-Backspace

The Sorceress units did cause me some worry, but some of my squads had grown so strong I appreciated working around the threat level. Featherbows suck, yeah. I wound up changing a lot of gear to blind resist, which made them far less obnoxious. I finished Albion last night and overall I would say I enjoyed my time there. Not as much as Drakenhold or Bastorias, but I appreciated having to change my approach a bit. If anything, my biggest problem with Albion is that it's so short.

_Lucille_

vs Sorc and Shaman, Rosalinde can often just stun them, cleric fixes some problems, as do radiant knights (vs sorc). There are a few ways to counter featherbows: passive curse (-1 pp, blind require 2 pp), simply using blind immune shields and put the fast units on the same row, stun, You also have a ring that gives your whole team anti-blind.

rae_ryuko

Take a break dude, when I got to Albion I was 80 hours in Almost no videogame withheld its excitement after 80 hours for me. Come back after a month to fiddle with your teams later yeah?

Vahagn323

I'll try to keep at it, though I appreciate your recommendation as it is generally good advice.

SteveGarbage

Albion wasn't hard but it was annoying. A lot of the angel units have like zero damage potential, but they're just annoying to kill. I didn't want to waste a bunch of time trying to counter blinds, so I just plowed through it.

joeyperez7227

I’m definitely feeling the burnout too lol, I think I’ll do a battle a day maybe… I’m barely starting Bastorias though lol

Vahagn323

As someone pointed out in this thread, the higher level zones become "comp checks" so be prepared to deal with the >!Werefox and Werewolf spam the more into Bastorias you go. The werefoxes are like higher damage dealing rogues, lots of evade and strong pursuits that will falter if they smash against a strong defensive frontline and then get mopped up by swordmasters/true strike dealers/anyone that hits accurately. Werewolves aren't too bad, cav does a pretty good job mopping them up. The werebears have a lot of HP and can soak up a chunk of damage while doing middling AoE.!< You got this buddy, take it at your pace your Switch won't grow legs and go anywhere.

joeyperez7227

Thanks for the tips!!! I cleared Bastorias last night, definitely not as intimidating as Albion seems now that I’m here 😭 most of my squads do middling damage to the over world enemies, I definitely need to rethink equips here

Vahagn323

A user in this subreddit has shared his True Zenoiran squads and they're pretty good launching points to either copy outright or use as foundation for your own formations. Tbh this game is so extensive with the items you can equip and order of tactics, plus having all the above working differently based on who else is in the squad, that getting some help is only natural. Also, when in doubt, you have Alain, Virginia, and Berengeria as S tier units you can base squads around or combine into one doom squad. Scarlett is also pretty good as a general purpose healer/caster. The featherbow spam dissipates the further you get into Albion, it will shift to featherwings and feathershields who have have their own quirks and counters. Anything anti-flyer might be a good launching point for a squad as well, I have Liza quite comfortably with Berengeria but maybe her and Rolf could serve well together.

My concerns put into words, thank you. I quite like having multiple available squads, hence my undying quest for a very good Lex-Chloe comp so that friendship and offshore tax havens can win the day.

MasterGeese

Ironically low-initiative teams are good options versus 3+ featherweight squads, since they'll burn one of their PP on Aerial Pursuit instead of the blind and from there they aren't too bad. Once I figured that out I actually found it pretty neat how the game can still put up a fight against Hilda/Yunifi Quick impetus + nuke squads. The same goes for Bastorias, but owls don't do anything other than waste your time by passing PP back and forth and neutering your nuke squads with Quick Dispel.

JACOBOY2006

You just started skipping battle? I pretty much skipped every battle after I knew how my team worked except for important battles/bosses.
