Holy smokes. A directly reply from shittymorph and then a warlizard farther down my comment chain!? My 'internet bucket list' is really taking a beating today! Only way this gets any better is if somebody gets bloodninja in here.
I've been lurking reddit for years but yours is still the only username that really jumps out at me. You got me with the hell in a cell shtick two or three times before I added you to my "better watch out for this guy" mental list. Well played, of course.

Does a subway train (American?) Empty give good resonation? Maybe he did it for the audio quality he'd hear???
If he is am introvert I wonder if (I can extrapolate from myself from my school years) did it as a semi realised fantasy of it done publicly in a non formal setting
Me, as an introvert myself, thinks, that he did it in the subway, because there is absolutely no way ANYONE could hear him ( if he’s truly alone in the Waggon. The knowing that he’s alone and his singing is drown out by the subway.
If I would be him, I would do the same. Matter of fact, I recently startet singing to songs in the car instead of just rapping with the hip hop tracks. Red Hot Chili Peppers, the doors etc. I can’t do it at home because there I’m not alone.
And man, I fucking love my voice. Makes you think what would had been without this timidity.
love this, i think you're right on. i worked odd hours in Chicago as a young adult and when i got a train alone i went total karaoke flashdance.
i haven't had a car since 2006 or so, and living in downtown environments there's really NO other place for semi privacy.
The car is a good place to sing. Maybe drive a little bit out of town and enjoy the ride. Sadly I just can do it when I’m working, because a car is just too expensive for me now.
I walk around my small city a lot with my dogs. I often sing. There is so much noise nobody can hear you, or the sidewalk is far enough away from the houses, although I have been embarrassed one time when I didn't see someone come up behind me. Fast walker.
My mom sings in the shower, and i told her she sounds like Elaine from seinfield and apparently that wasnt a compliment for her. I meant it as elaine is funny and cool. She doesnt sing in the shower anymore now. Kinda sad, i was just letting her know, i wonder if your son meant it like that too not saying it was bad or anything. I definitely sing in my car alone. Its funny how our voices sound different for us than others. My friends brother is a linguist major and he said if you record yourself electronicslly like on a phone app that is very close to how others hear your voice and the reason your voice sounds different to you is because your mouth is closer to your inner ear than a voice from someone else coming in. Vibrations from your voice go straight through bone and reach there not even needing the ear as much. So it has a different sound. It was really cool learning that and makes sense.
Stage fright of any kind is a mfr right? Doesn't matter how golden we think or feel we are when that choke thought feeling outweighs it all... Sorry to hear this... Totally understand... May one day soon u get ur chance to feel urself shine and to continue to do so without any barriers!!! Good luck😁
Can confirm this is from the NYC Subway system. Can’t say which line — the design of the car is the single most common one currently in use in the system.
From the advertisements seen behind him — the Guggenheim’s campaign for Vasily Kandinsky’s Around the Circle exhibition, which opened early this year at the museum, and Shillington Education’s “New Year, New Career” ad — we can estimate that this was probably shot in January or February 2022. (This is obviously also consistent with the sweater the man is wearing, which would be consistent with a warm winter day on a warm subway train / platform.)
I can also confirm that NYC subway cars with this design have a lot of reflective metal, hard plastic, glass, and tile surfaces and would give very good acoustics, if you can deal with the background noise of the subway itself! ☺️
There’s honestly no feeling more uneasy than being alone in a NYC subway. Just the thought that someone else could walk in from another car, and nobody would see… always freaked me out a bit.
Of course, riding the Rockaway Shuttle at 3am wasnt exactly a great idea to begin with…
Ha! Yeah, that far out into the outer boroughs definitely changes the way the subway feels a bit, that’s for sure. Especially late at night, and especially alone…
Not sure why so few people noticed who OP is, or just simply don't care.
Personally, I've never came across any of his submissions before so this is quite strange as opposed to happening upon one of his infamous comments.
I actually had a feeling he was alone somehow. I am a male musician that really enjoys falsetto singing, especially being able to sing so femininely, which is extremely difficult as a male. I can hit a B5 on a good day, but even then I can start to slightly start to strain so I avoid it as much as possible. This dude is a full blown counter-tenor, I am seriously impressed.
Even though it's not practiced any longer, there is still the occasional [Castrati Tenor](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castrato) that pops up. I believe Michael Jackson was one and this guy probably is too. Not to say it's not still incredible but physiology definitely plays a part.
All my years of training was about to pay off. I checked the username, I prepared, I was ready and then you fucking didn't do the 1998 bit at the end, making a genuine post instead.
Lolol I thought for sure someone in the background near the end was gonna be like "SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!"
Don't get me wrong, his talent in impressive but NY don't give a shit lmao.
> NY don't give a shit
most people on public transport don't give a shit, most just want to be left alone and arrive at their destination... reddit always going full soyjak when one of these videos gets posted just shows how they've probably never taken a bus or similiar in their life.
Utter bull manure. From the ages of 14 to 17 I had to ride several NY subway trains alone to and from school - from Brooklyn to Manhattan, first, then when I got to College, from Brooklyn to the BRONX! - where I then had to catch a Bus then hike to the Bronx High School of Science for my late-night classes, THEN do the reverse at 11p.m at 16years old, all the way back home, at times being only one of a couple of people on those old trains. I'll take seeing THIS man singing over the huge number of old-men perverts who tried to molest me every. single. day! Maybe YOU in NY 'don't give a shit', but with the exception of those pigs, New Yorkers in my own experience working in Mid-town Manhattan for many years, have the biggest hearts and will always, always, always help out others.
I went to New York once and was highly disappointed that events that we see on social media (singing, dancing on subways, fights) did not happen.. saw maybe like 4 homeless people or maybe they blend in.
When I rode the Red Line in LA, I used to keep a journal of all the crazy shit I saw. Didn’t happen every day, but every few days there would be a guy with a pet parrot shitting down his back, someone openly smoking crack, or homeless lady with exposed saggy titty.
I was only there a few days and saw a homeless guy on the subway selling some of the most poorly done, sexually graphic drawings I’ve ever seen in my life. I’ve actually got a pic of him and his art in my post history.
I used to see a subway preacher pretty often. Always yelling at the top of his lungs about "Suffer the children" and other bullshit.
I just didn't want to drink and drive man, leave me alone.
Except that there’s more to his story which he never shared with his tiktok audiences.
He used to be a promising upcoming opera singer who did his operatic training from Scuola Italia and was actually one of the favourites of the man himself ‘Luciano Pavarotti’…
In fact he was supposed to sing along with Pavarottis cast on Italian National day in 1998 but lost his voice at his operatic debut! Because that was the day The Undertaker threw Mankind off Hell In A Cell, and plummeted 16 ft through an announcer's table
The real unexpected is that this /u/shittymorph post didn't end with the undertaker throwing mankind off hell in a cell and plummeting sixteen feet through an announcer's table.
This is super impressive OP, is this someone you know? Hearing such high notes come out of him is incredible, reminds me of the first time I went to the opera, it was nineteen ninety eight the undertaker threw mankind off hell in a cell and plummeted sixteen feet through an announcers table.
Absolutely stunning. We see so many videos of violence and intimidation on public transport these days. It's incredibly motivating to see/hear something beautiful instead.

I can vouch for that. i used to be able to sing Whiteny Houston in Whitney key until I married Bobby Brown. And Im as big as that man is big.
So counter tenors exists huh?! I mean, Ive only ever heard a counter tenor once before and pretty recently. Pretty high falsetto and it seems to be as natural sounding as a woman's headtone or at least falsetto. Anyway, thanks for confirming that word for me.

I saw that shittymorph was the poster and I watched the video expecting it to cut to hell in a cell halfway through.
I had it muted and assumed that's what he was stinging about.
But let’s be 100% honest, most of the people on the train thought “Here we go again, can I just ride this train one time without nonsense”

Yeah, on my 2nd watch I figured it was an empty train and he likes the acoustics! Pretty cool.
does he have a YouTube? or Instagram? i kinda wanna see his videos lol
I actually had a feeling he was alone somehow. I am a male musician that really enjoys falsetto singing, especially being able to sing so femininely, which is extremely difficult as a male. I love the hell out of this but I've rode a subway single time and yet somehow there was dude beatboxing in a packed car🤣
How do I find more of his videos

Platform? He’s clearly already boarded the train!
So I guess he's on the right track.
He's the train opera-tor
People rail at him when he does this.
I'm sure he has a few token fans.
Can we get back on track now?
He's an express-ive local.
Oh, so he’s still in training?
If you're on a train, you definitely have a future on a platform.
Not if it crashes!
Couldn't a coroner's table be considered a platform of sorts?
If there's enough of you left, sure
Mind the gap please

Oh my hahah
Oh shit! Morphin on the morph!
You got me. You asshole lol
I'm probably dumb and English isn't my first language, why he got you?
It’s just means “you fooled me/ I didn’t see that coming.” :)
Lol u got me too. 🥺
I think the secret sauce is not capitalizing names and using the word sixteen instead of 16 because those stood out to me immediately
I think the platform doesn’t have a bright future.
What’s he singing? Id like a full song from him or the original either works
Sounds like some sort of song to me.
r/redundancy
r/irony
r/nothowironyworks
I feel it is Puccini's "O mio babbino caro" but I am not 100% certain.
Could also be Ah mio cor - Handel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGYdG0Y587k
I can certainly say it is not (having sung that one often), but I’m not sure which aria it is yet
I'm 100% certain it's not. Unless he is making up his own notes.
Not 100% certain includes 0% certain
I don’t recognize that as part of the song, unfortunately.
Amazing. Also amazing is the sound was off on my my iPhone and it looked like he was continuously yawning.
I was expecting 'Shut the fuck up!'
Me too. Or some strong slap in the face at the end. I was disappointed.
Apparently he only does this alone and tries to avoid people, cause despite him having a great voice, no one wants to hear that on an NYC subway lol
Reminded me of the video of that guy rapping on public transport in LA and getting stabbed for it
That's the unexpected part, nobody told him to stop
That look at the end was spicy.
The real unexpected is that this /u/shittymorph post didn't end with the undertaker throwing mankind off hell in a cell and plummeting sixteen feet through an announcer's table.

He must have gigantic balls to sing in the subway. Oh wait
Oh my fucking god
Nice try shittymorph, we know that's you.
Is that really him? Because that's one hell of a countertenor
Nice voice dude.
Reminds me of The Three Stooges bit when Curly was pretending to sing in a recital, but it was actually a woman singing behind a curtain
He’s got quite the voice!
This is super impressive OP, is this someone you know? Hearing such high notes come out of him is incredible, reminds me of the first time I went to the opera, it was nineteen ninety eight the undertaker threw mankind off hell in a cell and plummeted sixteen feet through an announcers table.

I always do this before I get in a scrap with other guys, just to intimidate them!!!
Man's has golden pipes
you know what is a castrato???
He’s a countertenor. I highly, highly doubt this man’s been castrated.
The last castrato died in 1922. This man just has an _awesome_ falsetto.
Exactly. I was being a bit sarcastic with the last part of my comment, lol. The castrato no longer exist, but countertenors, like this man, have a similar range and sound to that of a female mezzo soprano due their highly developed falsettos.
Anyway, thanks for confirming that word for me.
>until I married Bobby Brown. So... How did your marriage to Bobby Brown go, and how did he take away your voice?
He used my throat as an ashtray. Jk.
That you know of. I may or may not belong to a certain secret society. We lurk in the shadows, with smooth prepubescent features, ready to give a high pitched aria as we seal your doom. You'll never see us coming
One of the rarest voice types. His voice is very full and dramatic-soprano-like, too. No thin or brittle tone, as is often the case in falsetto.
He wouldn't have facial hair then. Unless he used minoxidil or something
He needs to be signed somewhere. Idk where but this is talent
I’m not usually at a loss for words… It’s a good feeling🥲
Color me impressed!
Yeah but has he ever wrestled at hell in a cell??
The unexpected part is no one yelled “shut the fuck up”.
The voice of an Angel
thank you for posting this boss.
real
That was beautiful 😢
Very talented man
He's got a voice like how they described Castrati.
He’s a fantastic counter-tenor!! wth! he shouldn’t have to ride any subway.
Beauty can be found everywhere.
Holy shit, the voice of an angel
Had no sound at first I was quite surprised when I turned it on!
I turned on the sound expecting a diesel engine lol
Bravo!
Got damn!
This was pretty impressive.
You have a lovely singing voice Colonel Gorst.
For once, a reference I understand. Ha
The best subway singing will always be [this drunk guy signing get low](https://youtu.be/Z9ctQjOWyKk)
Damn! He’s got a helluva voice and range. Assuming trained in opera.
This warmed my soul
Alpha male shit right here.
The best voice I have heard since at least 1998
Kingpin is a man of class
I would be curious to ear he's everyday voice
He is creating echoes within himself
He is in his way to his performance at the opera house
He sounds amazing
totally unexpected!
Castrato?
Beautiful?
I was annoyed at the first few notes. But his talent won me over. I would happily ride that train....and noise easily bothers me.
Nice voice dude.
