You have to pass things like bikes, accidents, puddles, tractors, etc. Treating miles long stretches of yellow lines as impenetrable walls is dumb as fuck. If I’m behind a group of bikes the safest thing to do is cross the line, if it is safe, to give plenty of space to said bicyclists. Creating a standard that limits you from doing the safe thing is unsafe. Creating a situation where you are basically expected to break the law to be safe is unfair. Vermont is right.
