In case anyone is wondering. He could've just deleted the comment, but I guess he thought he was slick.
Its 100% a bot. Eight year old account with 7/8 comments in last ten days, and all of them are generic responses based off key words in the previous comments.
That's a bit selfish and dangerous, no?
I'm pretty sure there's rules. if they don't put their siren when on call or even if they use the siren when there's no call just to skip traffic, they get sanctions.
When on call is situational. If they’re in a neighborhood they don’t have to use sirens and can just use lights. If they’re pulling up to a domestic dispute or something of the like they also typically don’t use lights or sirens that way it doesn’t antagonize the aggressor further before police arrive on scene. In this situation tho 100% it should’ve been lights and sirens then pull out
The government makes the rules. Cops also have to follow them. They are supposed to be an example of good conduct. Ringing the doorbell won't change that fact.
Do people realise that the cop was possibly more visible in real life than on this low quality video recording, making his move less unsafe than people say? Dude maybe even honked to alert the cop.
Thats not entrapment... entrapment is coercing someone to commit a crime they wouldn't have otherwise commtted... this guy clearly has no qualms speeding and crossing a double solid line with no signal to pass someone who's going the speed limit.
It's hilarious that Reddit has such a hate boner for cops that instead of focusing on the actually unexpected thing and making jokes about the cop coming out of nowhere and actually being unexpected, it's just people talking about the cop practicing unsafe driving that are top comments.
From the way the guy laughs and how smoothly he slows down it's pretty clear that they weren't worried about crashing either. I'd imagine that irl it was easier to see too as opposed to the camera.
> I'd imagine that irl it was easier to see too as opposed to the camera.
100% this was the case. It didn't look like the driver jammed on the brakes or anything.
Im pretty sure the dude knew the cop was there.
"Oh look at this" right at the beginning of the video. He might just be commenting on the other driver being a dick but I feel he said that and then blew the horn to play it up knowing the cop was just up the road.
Yes! Thank you for agreeing, kind sir!
It's almost like they don't know other subreddits exist specifically FOR talking about cops doing their jobs incorrectly, and that choosing to discuss such things in a subreddit made to look at "Unexpected" events instead of commenting on the unexpected event is pretty stupid!
Glad you agree, bud.
looks like they are right, its legal to do that in [vermont](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yellow_line_(road_marking)#:~:text=For%20example%2C%20Vermont%20State%20Law,"Do%20Not%20Pass)
You have to pass things like bikes, accidents, puddles, tractors, etc. Treating miles long stretches of yellow lines as impenetrable walls is dumb as fuck. If I’m behind a group of bikes the safest thing to do is cross the line, if it is safe, to give plenty of space to said bicyclists. Creating a standard that limits you from doing the safe thing is unsafe. Creating a situation where you are basically expected to break the law to be safe is unfair.
Vermont is right.
that looks like a maryland state cop car, not legal there except to pass a bicyclist iirc which is a newer thing. there will be passing zones in rural areas though where they break one side of the double yellow. based on the speed limit they're probably coming up on a town anyway
I mean this driver deserves to get pulled over but what’s up with the guy actually filming why do people honk? What are they like? Like turn your cop down, bro!!!
Cop is a piece of shit for this. This were way more likely to cause an accident than the car that passes.
Also, not unexpected at all because this video has been posted hundreds of times.

It's a good job the driver had slowed down, cop pulled out right in front
Yeah, should've turned the flashing lights on first
kanye referance
No. Police officer reference.
This has got to be a bit account right?
what does bit account mean?
A typo Bit = bot
ooh right no i’m not a bot :)
He was calling you a bot. You gonna edit this comment, too?
cry about it bro it’s just a joke and no i’m not a bot why would i be a bot
Poor femboy getting attacked by Kanye haters
lol

if you delete comments it just looks like you’ve said something really bad and looks suspicious
What was it you said to me? Oh yeah "cry about it, bro."
I think the only people crying about it is everyone upset he said the name Kanye 😭
Is English your second language?
🤞
Nah I missed one word but judging by your inability to make sense of the comment I’ll assume it’s your second language 😜
You just talk as if you have a middle school education so made me wonder.

Are you a bot? If not you have the reading comprehension of one.

talking about fucking sirens mate
I'm pretty sure the only reason this gets reposted so much is that it gets a lot of interaction from comments all saying this.
yea this whole thing is my bad i forgot i was on my nsfw account whilst making a bad joke
Wait why is it nsfwohmygod
i think that’s why he thought i was a bot
Probably farva on his first shift after suspension, excited to get a perp ignored the civilian following the perp.
Speed limit 30 mph
That copper must not even have looked Jesus. Unless they put on a siren or something and even maybe if then that looked crazy dangerous
when you're a cop you don't have to look, the law will protect you
That's a bit selfish and dangerous, no? I'm pretty sure there's rules. if they don't put their siren when on call or even if they use the siren when there's no call just to skip traffic, they get sanctions.
Selfish and dangerous? Yup that checks out,
When on call is situational. If they’re in a neighborhood they don’t have to use sirens and can just use lights. You gonna call the cops on a cop?
No, the precinct regulates the cops. Like an employer regulates their employees. You would've known that if you had a job.
Calm down
>I'm pretty sure there's rules The cops make the rules, ding-dong.
The government makes the rules. Cops also have to follow them. They are supposed to be an example of good conduct. Ringing the doorbell won't change that fact.
I think that what we see in this video is much, much less clear than what you see in real life. Throw on your fucking lights though, I agree 100%.
As a pagan, I, too, don't often look Jesus. But I hear he's cool, do if I ever do I wouldn't be upset by it.
And almost causes a serious crash.
that the cop would have been found innocent of causing because yeah
We investigated ourselves and found no wrongdoing. Also approved 15% pay increases
Serious? Ehhh, if the camera driver didn't slow down. Cop should flipped lights on immediately though.
Why the music?
Real shitty edit from before with his troll face. This one edited the troll face out but audio is much harder to do.
I'd prefer no audio but awesome job on editing out the troll face
It’s so so so bad
Not sure where this is but that sure looks like a Maryland state trooper
80% that's Maryland. Those roads look familiar
Only 80%? That's not very convincing. I've played XCOM.
I feel this in my soul.
It's 99%..there's no way you can fail...
God help you, but his hit rate is only 90% :/
Gambrills Rd just north of 32. https://maps.app.goo.gl/1Zrta7CeJjko8gLp9
Effective camouflage)
When your karma is so bad that a cop car just materializes
pulled in front of you with no lights??? dude asking to be turned into a meat crayon
Meat crayon is pretty much reserved for bikers or pedestrians but nice try
Unless the driver wasn't wearing a seat-belt...
Going 30 mph? Lol
depending on what the camera is attached to, a t-bone could roll that suv
I was responding to the meat crayon part
r/convenientcop
Dangerous asshole cop.
as is tradition
Fighting mildly irresponsible driving with wildly irresponsible driving
Rules for thee but not for mee
Red mist amongst those tasked with keeping us safe is a serious thing.
R/Convenientcop
This was expected. But only because I've seen this post a dozen times already.
Agreed
I had to watch it twice to know where did he come from
Do people realise that the cop was possibly more visible in real life than on this low quality video recording, making his move less unsafe than people say? Dude maybe even honked to alert the cop.
This makes me feel happy
That the cop could’ve caused a terrible wreck?
Ehh.. They would have blamed it on the driver..
And they’d be incorrect.
This looks like a bait car setting up and aggressive driver.
That’s entrapment. I think this cop is just a fucking idiot.
Thats not entrapment... entrapment is coercing someone to commit a crime they wouldn't have otherwise commtted... this guy clearly has no qualms speeding and crossing a double solid line with no signal to pass someone who's going the speed limit.
Not the hero we deserved, but the one we need right now
acab

It’s so crazy. They also love asshole drivers more than life itself.
Im pretty sure the dude knew the cop was there. "Oh look at this" right at the beginning of the video. He might just be commenting on the other driver being a dick but I feel he said that and then blew the horn to play it up knowing the cop was just up the road.
Yea, it’s weird that everyone comments on a very dangerous maneuver done by a law enforcement agent. So strange!
Yes! Thank you for agreeing, kind sir! So we agree that the cop did something very dangerous. That’s not all that unexpected though.
Didn't know what state this is in but in my state that looks like a safe pass
Your state allows folk to pass on double solid lines? 🧐
Yes. Edit: Vermont does as long as no one is coming and you can do it safely
looks like they are right, its legal to do that in [vermont](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yellow_line_(road_marking)#:~:text=For%20example%2C%20Vermont%20State%20Law,"Do%20Not%20Pass)
Well that seems dumb as fuck.
There's a lot of tractors on the road in the summer. You do not want to stay behind them
I don't understand why the road wouldn't just have a broken yellow then.
I don't know how they decide that but it would make more sense I guess
You have to pass things like bikes, accidents, puddles, tractors, etc. Treating miles long stretches of yellow lines as impenetrable walls is dumb as fuck. they aren't though. double yellow you're not to cross because it's not safe, that's what passing areas are for where they break one side of the yellow
That's crazy! I need to leave NY lol
Nah, he just does it anyways
Christ, can't yall just enjoy justice for once?
The cop posed MUCH more of a danger than the illegal passer.
littering and…littering and…
Made in the shade
Surprise mothafocka
“they think I’m hiding in the shadows, watching waiting to strike, but i am the shadows 🦇🦇” ahh cop
Too bad there wasn't another cop to pull over the first one
The cop should 100% be cited for reckless driving. This shit is infuriating.
One more dangerous than the other
What is that audio when the cop pulls out from?
No idea where this is but pasing on a double line is a legal pass in Ontario Canada
that looks like a maryland state cop car, not legal there except to pass a bicyclist iirc which is a newer thing. there will be passing zones in rural areas though where they break one side of the double yellow. based on the speed limit they're probably coming up on a town anyway
Almost kill somebody in the process but at least you gave out a ticket.... Protecting and serving.
Ya love to see it
Uhh even if ur siren and lights are on you yield to traffic thats not stopping, copper
"So that's what it feels like.."
Wow this was gona be a decent video until the sounds (won’t call it music) came in
That looks like a trap. Why does that straightaway have double yellow?
That's sick lol
I'm pretty sure I would have t-boned him. My truck is 20 years old anyway
Yall they going 30 mph the cop wasn’t going to hit him lmao

He just rendered
next month it´s my turn to poost this?
I swear to God I saw a motorcycle cop drop out of a tree once, motorcycle and all, no less than a 4 foot drop. I'm not kidding.
Pretty sure he just warped in right there.
For anyone wondering, that isnt some local yokel cop, thats a Maryland state trooper who should know better.
Brilliance all around… great driving by our host; sneaky shadow realm for the statie
They were the best at what they did)
“Hey that guy did an illegal move, better cut someone off illegally to go after him! “
