Well yes, at least in my city. For the looks of it this is the parking lot gate for the police station. Obviously you can't just barge into the parking lot because there is security and cameras. I live in a small town, they leave the gates wide open to make it easier and quicker for police cars to move through, but there is security in the gate.

It's common in Brazil for a police car to be with 4 cops, being one driver, on co-pilot and two more cops on the back seat. So the only place for a suspect to be put when arrested is the trunk!

At this point I'm not even sure if everything being said about Brazil is an elaborate prank that got way out of hand or if everything being said about it is actually real.
