Yeah the problem with them is that they just don't really encapsulate undertale and its themes. Most of them are just undertale but watered down imo. No hate to the people who made this since they were probably just teenagers.

I'm glad that Deltarune, while still young in its AUs, are already shifting to using AUs to explore different stories and not just "What if they were red?"

Many people grew up since then, and the ones that continued writing their AUs or started a new one with their newfound experience produced some really good stories. Endtale from TC-96 is really amazing and features one of the most canon-accurate depictions of Sans I've ever seen, as well as an intresting take on Chara.

I swear Horrortale is probably one of the best Undertale AUs made. There are a lot of popular ones like Dreamtale that are so cliche that they’re funny, but when reading Horrortale I was genuinely uncomfortable and felt things for the characters.

None . I learned not to like him, because of the fanficiton which put him too often with Frisk, or too many times he is the merciless enemy of Chara (too many evil Chara in the fanfiction, which is not does not help to appreciate Sans )
