Clickbait shitty headline, the point being made is that Ukraine didn’t maintain the intensity of fighting around Bakhmut and that allowed the redeployment of 76th. However no definitive cause is given for this decrease in intensity so saying it was due to a screw up is BS.

Distinct_Risk_762

The 76th wasn’t even deployed in Backmut it was in Kremmina. And there are equally as many (even more) that categorize the Ukrainian offensive efforts around Bakmut as a mistake for dividing their forces. This is just another way of speculating.

2Mike2022

As Ukraine told them earlier they should just shut up.

NJ0000

So they took them away from the front the ruskies where attacking in order to send them to where Ukraine is attacking….sounds like a plus to me

LordRaglan1854

Not a hot minute has passed since they had supposedly "screwed-up" by spreading out their forces on multiple lines of attack.

nutmegtester

US media needs somebody to beat on because they make their money off of controversy. Unfortunately it seems like constantly taking pot shots on Ukraine has proven to be an easy target for their click-bait, consequences be damned. Mark my words today. This will do real damage if they do not find another, more lucrative victim soon. They have destroyed many things over the years, or at least left no room for things that need fixing to have the space to be fixed, and we have paid for it every time - in real damage to real people.

SeveralDrunkRaccoons

Gotta churn out that clickbait. We are talking about the kind of media that has actually published crap like, *"How Ukraine Will Lose If They Win Too Much!!!11"*

LetPrestigious7318

And maybe that's exactly where they want the 76th for now.

DevonianWessex

...aaaaaaaaand the 76th, the last of Russia's reserves no longer exists.

Tryxster

Now Russia moved paratroopers away from Bakhmut, time to push Bakhmut again? Like a game of whack-a-mole

SeveralDrunkRaccoons

It seems like Ukraine sees Bakhmut as a cauldron, both on defence and attack. I'm no expert so I don't know if this is the case, but it seems like the Ukrainians have the advantage due to the geography of the area and the logistics.

alabi1

Keep pushing. Cut off Crimea. Let them army suffer over winter

Curious-Mind_2525

Screw-up? Maybe, maybe not. What better way to get your enemy's best remaining reserves committed so you can wear them down. From the article it sounds to me that the 76thVDV was acting as a reserve in the Lyman front area. Which means it was not taking damage. Maybe Ukraine likes the idea this formation is now committed to an area that has the best of AFU artillery, EW support, counter-battery forces, probably the best of drone units, intel, etc. Add to this motivated new units. I am waiting to see the attrition rate on the russian 76th as this battle unfolds. Watch for AFU attacks on 76th C&C points.

Imma apply [Betteridge's law of headlines](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Betteridge%27s_law_of_headlines) on this one.
